Recently I had the pleasure of hosting a live event in New York, NY. This event was part of a lecture series called The Brain Body Contract. My favorite part of the evening was the question & answer period, where I had the opportunity to answer questions from the attendees of each event. Included here is the Q&A from our event in New York, NY.

I hope you don’t get upset with me, this is a sincere question. Every once in a while, I see someone just comment the word first, and that’s all they do. Thank you for leaving a comment and not just boasting about being first, I don’t know if it’s a new game, I know you don’t win anything for Being first. I was just wondering if this was some type of new hack or tool in your toolbox, inquisitive minds want to know, if you don’t mind. Again, thank you for leaving a comment evidently I wasn’t first, because I wait till after the whole video to comment , that’s why I don’t understand this first thing before you even watch a video and leave the comment first. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say, there is some thing we say in science about being the first, and it’s well known almost in everyone’s childhood, the story about the the hare and the turtle, the hair would always takeoff real fast to get to the end of something that he forgot to enjoy the route along the way. And yes, the turtle or tortoise was the winner in the end.❤
@ladonnabellavillalobos9627
@ladonnabellavillalobos9627 Год назад
Now I have another question I actually watched the whole video, and I was looking at all the comments, and people are commenting before they even see the contact, and when people do that they’re only cheating their self. Anyone that come in at two hours ago, and commented before they watched it to me that’s not being genuine.

I finally found someone who actually watch the video, I don’t know what kind of game this is saying your first, and not watching the video, but it’s ridiculous to me. How can you watch the video and comment before it even starts, it’s like the tortoise and the hare story, the rabbit ran so fast to be there, first, that he doesn’t notice anything along the way, and the tortoise wins in the end, he took it slow and easy and finish the race, these people are just cheating their self out of a free education by playing such games, I am glad you enjoyed the video, ANDREW has helped me so much I was losing my eyesight, and I almost have it all the way back thing to ANDREW

Thank you, Doctor Huberman for the many "actionable protocols" I now employ multiple times throughout the day (in the case of breath work/eye movements to boost energy, the specific ideation with regards to the positive habits or new protocols I want to adopt (and the negative harmful habits I work to extinguish, pairing it with a positive habit etcetera), my gut biome, and the daily and weekly parameters for various forms of exercise. And of course QUALITY SLEEP and DAWN LIGHT (and light throughout the day). I was told long ago, after my Doctor warned me I was so run down I was in imminent danger of death due to chronic intebsive stress that had lasted years... to "eat healthy and exercise" in order to recover my health. I strived to do so and although I asked him (and other professionals) for SPECIFIC guidelines as to exercise and diet. I was eschewing most virtually all processed foods and was passing out due to lack of salt...but I spent so many years seeking SCIENTIFIC DATA that I might implement in order to OPTIMISE my TIME. SO MUCH of the information sought on the internet (as I was initially too ill to do any research and later too ill to journey to libraries) on these subjects which is CLAIMED TO BE SCIENTIFIC is not...and the INTEGRITY and HONESTY of the presenters ~ though seemingly genuine ~ is suspect. I would focus on what seemed to be the solution and invest HOURS daily (and many hours weekly) to cardio...for 9 months or more...with a ner GAIN in weight (due to the muscle) yet the stubborn tummy fat which had accumulated as I got more stressed and ignored my own health. I continued to seek HARD SCIENTIFIC DATA on these subjects and I was overjoyed to discover your podcasts. I love that you also introduce me to your various guests (and their expertise and again, actionable protocols). With the love and support of s wonderful man and the information and motivation provided by the Hubeedude...I have recovered far more SINCE those two factors...coalesced. Thank you Andrew Huberman.

I also wanted to tell you that you help me straighten up my Arcadian rhythm by getting up and looking at the sun every morning. The sunrise, I’ve been homebound since 2018, on oxygen and using a walker my eyesight was failing, and I figured it was because I am in this apartment 24/7, then I watched a show and I have really bad insomnia, so I started doing what you said and I started sleeping so well I’m not gonna say like a baby because my three children when they were babies, they never slept through the whole night, I was sleeping like a baby before I watched you now I sleep really good thanks to you, and I also realize I was seeing everything at close range, and that was affecting my eyesight, I went to my doctor. He told me I didn’t have cataracts sent me to some eye doctor, who said they couldn’t find anything wrong with my eyes, then, when I got home, I watched you again and got my answer so I started watching things far off doing your eye exercises in my eyes are getting better all the time, plus there’s another one and it’s what I’ve done my whole life is take Extra-virgin, cod, liver oil, it has natural occurring retinol, not just a beta carotene, form a vitamin a and D3, and K 2-7 I also take separate supplements of D3 and K complex, I am now 68 years old. I am recovering really well I got that virus or whatever it was in 2018 my daughter found me on my bedroom floor with a broken humerus bone and she thought I was gone , I don’t even know how long I was without oxygen, but I was hallucinating that I was inside a computer and walking around trying to fix it, I didn’t wanna go to the hospital that I had scooted around on my back, somehow plugged my phone in and managed to call my daughter. I don’t know how but I did it. Yes I do know how by the grace of God, the Lord has save me and I’m a walking talking miracle I was in the ICU for two how much the regular hospital for one month then in the hospital I got a different virus and pneumonia, so I had to go to speech therapy and physical therapy, and I had to learn how to use my left hand because it was my right arm that got broke. They couldn’t operate on it because I was so weak so they put this weird cast on it, and my bones fuse together perfectly, I was 64 at the time, I still believe it’s that extra virgin cod, liver oil, and the vitamin D3 and K I was taking. I just wanted you to know that you are making a difference in a lot of peoples lives. You actually gave me the world to fight harder to live. I am all alone here in this apartment, but watching you and others have helped me so much to really work at hard at getting well and I can tell you I am off the oxygen now finally, they said I would be on it the rest of my life, just goes to show you, even though I love science, that my heavenly father is very real, it seems strange to me that if you were a scientist and studied how our brain works in our whole body that you would have to think there was a creator, that’s always struck me a strange, people tell me if I can’t prove it or see it I can’t believe it, I thought some people just have no imagination and are close minded, and I wasn’t brainwashed into believing in Jesus, in fact, I didn’t grow up in a family, that even believed in God, somehow I had the common sense to realize that aliens were not real, and everyone that had told me they seen one we’re on drugs, or alcoholics, which that’s the type of family I came from, I knew there had to be a life better than that and I found it. God bless you ANDREW, I’ll be praying for you, I am praying for Elon right now to I think he is so close to believing in our heavenly father. I think that’s what his rockets are all about. He’s trying to find how everything was created out there somewhere that he’s not gonna find it on Mars, oh I can’t help it. I got a strange sense of humor too. I think that keeps me going. I just really respect you so much you have a lot to do with me even wanting to keep fighting to live. Thank you for that I’m only sorry I didn’t know you were going to be in New York City. My daughter lives there she lives at one Manhattan Plaza in that high-rise glass condo, she’s a real estate she’s actually a real estate broker for Extell. I think that’s how you spell it anyway she’s making the big bucks out there that I really want her to move away from there were five in the Midwest you had to visit us in Kansas City Missouri sometime.❤

❤ Thank you so much ANDREW, you have made me fall in love with science, when I was in high school, I took human science and I was fascinated and how the body works, but that was a long time ago, I don’t know how my mind works exactly, but I’ve always been able to figure out things really easy, and when I dream I can change my dream if I don’t like it, and take people out and put people in, I always said that when I dream it’s like going to the movie theater, but when you don’t like something you don’t have to turn your head just get rid of it, I know that probably sounds really weird but I am a very well adjusted person. Surprisingly, if I were younger, I would definitely take science in college, but I took business management. I was the lentil entrepreneur when I was growing up I so love your podcast, you know what I was watching when I’ll tell you in another comment.

Over the last few years, I have had some weird symptoms that no one could figure out, achy knuckles, eye twitching, etc. Recently found out I had high heavy metal toxicity (mercury, lead, aluminum, arsenic) I have been doing chelation therapy for a few months now and symptoms are completely gone! No one even mentioned heavy metal toxicity as a possibility until I got to my fourth doctor! Would love for you to do a podcast on the topic of chelation if the opportunity ever arises. The heavy metal detox is so interesting and sounds crazy to most people! Also, would love an episode on BII-breast implant illness. Thanks for all you do.

It’s a pity we can’t hear the sound of the audience reaction properly 😢 I think the chemistry between Andrew and the attendees is part of the magic of these Q&As❤

I love your podcast and have learned so much from it! Thank you for all you do! I was wondering if you plan to have a podcast on hormone health for women? I’m 40 now and as I talk to more and more women my age and older I’m realizing there are so many of us that don’t have the knowledge we should going into pre menopause and beyond. I’m also wondering specifically about testosterone therapy in women.

Thank you for best science podcast. So much great information. Just found it a couple of weeks ago and have not listen to all your podcasts yet. Do you have anything to say about tinnitus? I have not been able to find anything helpful but I think it is a neurological disorder.

I was at this live event. I loved it. (I even bought the tee shirt! - LOL) - I have to say, since you asked for feedback/criticism, I wanted to share this: I am a visual learner, and I REALLY LOVED your original Instagram posts from your notebook with the beautiful colored pencil drawings. Your content is so wonderful, and I really feel your drawings helped describe so much. Any chance you'd resurrect those posts?

I love your podcasts and your content in general. How about making a whole podcast about how reading paper books vs reading pdf books affects your brain if you haven't got an episode on that already

Podcast idea: bring in a panel of people from athletic greens and discuss each ingredient and why it's important to the human body that. I take it everyday, as do you, would be interesting to know the thought process behind it.

what you mentioned about the division between labs also happens in art...for instance that blurred when all the disciplines moved into the same building at VCU which happens to be the number one school for sculpture in the USA

Good Morning/Evening Andrew, I love your stuff, i'm 21 and you've inspired me to start making my wellbeing a priority; the changes i have made through your influence have had a massive impact on my Physical, Mental and habitual health. The only Kicker is that i suffer with Psoriasis and struggle to find comprehensive research on tackling this that doesn't conflict with other things i read, of course Psoriasis is an Auto-Immune disease so i found episode #44 & #62 indirectly related however not completely applicable. Im from the UK so Living in a country with free healthcare is great however the waiting list i am on before seeing a dermatologist is a year plus long and i'm dying to know what i can do now from a source i trust such as yourself, i know a large amount of people personally with various skin conditions who have the same issues as i and would greatly, greatly appreciate your insight on the subject. Apologies in advance; i am going to post this in the comments sections all over your social media praying you will see this; so, please do not think negatively of me for the spam that is about to ensue. Kindest of Regards Andrew, You're a great bloke. -James Stedman
