Love your channel and the varieties of music is so great to see for my generation of awesome music from the 70's and on .....I've been a Joe Walsh over 40 yrs and this guy is a genius! Please watch Joe Walsh perform live Rocky mountain way in the Eagles concert 1977 at the Capitol Centre..joe plays and yes he uses the talk box "tube" for 7 mins flawlessly and that's keeping in mind the 70"s were sex, drugs and rock & roll I would be so happy for you to watch this! You will be mesmerized 😄 Happy new year 🥂🎆 Love & Peace and happiness 💖✌
The thing I loved about The Eagles was when the group came together, they made sure that not only could everyone play instruments, THEY COULD SING. That's why all of them could break out into solo careers.
Saw them in the 70s when they toured supporting Hotel California, Walsh's first album with them I think. They did a couple of his James Gang songs. Funk #49 and something else.
The Eagles were so damn great, that I'd rank Joe 3rd on them. No disrespect to him, just that they were solid wall to wall talent with a really deep bench, who used everything everybody brought to the table to fullest effect.
. Every one of the Eagles were dripping with talent. Joe made them even better but I give him kudos for not taking over the band. He contributed immensely but stayed in his lane. Now that was some kind of unique lane but he collaborated instead of overpowering. Big props to Joe for that.
@@TGriffiths-ve6nw True...and it ended up working out smashingly for everyone that way. But there was a reason for that. Joe was never an actual member of the band, like the others were. He was basically the hired help, who was paid to play gigs & record music WITH the band. So he kinda had to stay in his lane. But that's the way he wanted it. Who knows, things might've been different if Joe had had anywhere near the clout that the other official members had.
Joe Walsh is easily the most underrated guitarist of all time. The guy is top 5 for sure. He can play with anyone, is a great songwriter, producer, and not a bad singer either. Every band he's been in has been great.
@@scottcrosby-art5490 It's a great sound. Nice and punchy without being too heavy or illegible. Perfect for his style, guy is clearly an artist at heart. All BOSS pedals down the line into fender amps, I think. Might be out of date but I recall him being a fan of those.
Love Daryl's House no matter who's there, but this was one of the best episodes and this is my favorite Joe Walsh song! This show led me to a whole new appreciation of Daryl Hall and his musicianship!
Thank God he got clean and sober! We almost lost him! And even though he was initially afraid he would not be able to write and play sober, he only got better! Thanks to Don and Glenn for asking him to get sober for the "Hell Freezes Over" album (and tour)!!! Love Joe to pieces! Love his sense of humor, his quirkiness, and above all, his amazing talent!
@@OldLadyRocker I don't know if it's true or not, but it is said that Animal (Muppets) was inspired by Keith Moon and Mick Fleetwood. Even if it isn't true, I can't watch them without seeing Animal.
Thank you for recognizing Darryl's House. Consider how much they practice before the other artists arrive, and just the pure professionalism they bring to every video. Awesome!
Jamel, you dropped this at the perfect time, and this just happens to be one of my favorite rock songs. Joe Walsh is absolutely the man. Just in case you don't already know, he was one of the Eagles, and one of the best parts of "Hotel California" is hearing his half of the guitar work in that song. *Edit:* I just finished the video. Dude you make me smile so much Jamel. So much love for so much amazing music! Sending you positive vibes from Santa Barbara, brother
Daryl Hall is so laid back & just loves 'the music' so much, he picked up the phone & asked KT Tunstall to come to his house & play, she immediately said yes. That is just so cool. Artists know, when they come to Daryl's House, it's gonna be some good fun rocking out.
This is a fantastic performance by Joe , Daryl & the band .... in fact the whole show is amazing ! It gives you the kind-a behind the scenes look at setting up the songs and how each one goes & Joe's basically tells the band to have fun with it, add a bit of your flavor at the beginning of show Joe's said he loves to play & just jam for the fun of it ,let loose & enjoy the ride 😎🎸 Joe Walsh.... great slide guitar player & talkbox master ! One of the greatest guitars players j Hold on tight it's gonna be a wild-n-crazy ride 🎙😎🎸
We need to get Jamal to a million subs this year. One of the best reaction channels out and definitely brings us the best music.Tell your friends to join the team and enjoy the ride
Same here! Lived in Denver for 14 yrs.. also saw him twice at Red Rocks, 3x at CSU stadium in Boulder (with Eagles), and at Regis College in west Denver in mid-70s. Two of my fave shows, however, were his solo concerts at Kent State in Ohio and in Tampa, FL in the 80s. Brilliant indeed!🥰
I was listening to Joe Walsh when I was a teenager. I am in my late 60' s. This man looks and sounds like this in his 70's ! Hall is closer to my age. I want to know how they do that!
That my friends is “Kick A** Rock” !! I already watched this but came back for more. I gotta say Daryl’s “House” band is just so incredible. Every episode. What a great show. Wish it was still being produced.
I used to work at a club In Chicago in the kitchen. As I was working on some food I hear "hey cook me a burger" as I turn thinking who the f do you think you are there stood Joe Walsh with his Les Paul hanging behind him,a Joe Walsh for president t shirt and glow stick around his neck. I stood with my mouth open.Joe stood there with a sly grin on his face. His manager called "How where are you"? And in a familiar voice "I'm getting a burger" He then had to leave as his manager said you have to one on stage in 5 minutes. Sorry no burger he said to me. I then closed the kitchen despite the risk of getting fired to watch the man jam for an hour. Great times.
Have seen this so happy you are watching. The only guitarist I have seen 5 times live; Joe Walsh. Warmed up for Stevie Nicks, Warmed up for Foreigner, Twice at Hart Plaza down town Datwa during the Grand Prix, and once at the Michigan State Fair...luv this LEGEND!!!
They've got the whole thing on this channel. The entire show was just magic! Filled with great music and stories laced with a bit of humor. I highly recommend taking an hour out of your day to watch the whole episode.
A piece of trivia for you, Jamel. Joe Walsh is married to Marjorie Bach, who is the sister of Barbara Bach (actress), who is married to Ringo Starr (Beatles drummer), making the two guys brothers-in-law. Joe also played with Ringo’s All Starr Band over the years.
I had the great fortune of seeing the Eagles during the Farewell One tour. He played this and at the end of the song he played the part where he turned the bass string down on his guitar, not only could you hear it but you could feel it vibrating in the seat. Needless to say it made every woman squirm in their seat. A funny moment to a great song.
Thank you so much for this video. Joe Walsh is a guitar legend . So glad I was able to see him with The Eagles. They were legendary. And Joe did this live . I about lost my mind. The sound quality of this amazing. But would expect anything else from Daryl’s House !!
The rhythm section of Brain Dunne on drums and Paul Pesco on bass are tighter than Dick's hatband. Jamel, you should check out some Joe Walsh from his James Gang days, like Funk 49. 🙌👏🔥✌️
I must thank you for the introduction to live from Darryls house. Didn't know about it until I saw a video on your channel. An unbelievable string of musicians on parade for creating new versions of great songs. The absolute mastery from all musicians involved demonstrates why they could make such memorable music in the first place.
Does anyone else noticed besides me that Daryl's band has the best players ever I mean the best drummer in Brian Dunn the best bassist, the best keyboardist, the best lead guitarist.. nobody ever gives them enough credit like they should so here's my shout out to them... They nail it first try 100% every time they make it look so easy..And when you throw a guitar God like the great Joe Walsh in there in that mix... It becomes totally epic! My stomach hurts from watching joe play he is so above everybody else.. very few people know how to use the sqawk box correctly... Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton were the kings of it ...so love it still today....I love Daryl's house I've watched all his videos and none have ever dissappointed
All of these session guys are incredible, but that drummer is insane! He nails everything that Daryl throws at him! These guys are so versatile. Joe Walsh is an absolute legend too. He writes songs like symphonies (I think they even reference that in the version of 'Life's Been Good')!

that really, really rocked. so much love for Joe and Darryl and the whole band, the whole crew, from lights to sounds, to even the agents and managers that helped get everyone together. it is magic.
Dude Love your reactions! You’re in my Top 5. That being said that episode with Daryl was awesome. Joe wash is next level. Great voice, great riffs! So good!
Thanks for my morning wake-up ! Walkin' my dog on a cool morning, as the sun is warming is up here in Portugal..... Mr. Walsh's guitar sounds as "far out" as it did watching the light show projected upon Niagara's Horseshoe Falls on a New Year's night long ago... Just as "blown away" .....
