Really cool to see Bailey grinding out live streams in his hotel room at the winter meetings when he could be out on the floor as a credentialed member of the media.
If I’m the Yankees I trade verdugo into even more appealing prospects to entice Cleveland to let go of Jram. Jram power as a lefty will be amazing in yankee stadium and we just need production from 3B something we have not had for a while. Sign bellie on a nice contract or high abv 1-2 year play center and first allow judge to play right verdugo isn’t the CF belly is and we get another lefty.
If Yankees don’t want to waste judges prime. Sell some prospects for a top 3B who’s able to pull the ball for power. Go spend the money in FA for Belli I don’t think he gets what he’s asking but entice him with the short porch to take a 2 year 30 mill a year deal and if he’s the guy he says he is then he gets that big contract and he’s here for a while. I don’t fully trust belli. But his fit is literally perfect in NY need CF to keep judge in right. And have belli get at bats at 1B I don’t fully trust Rizzo I think he’s washed.
Can someone fire cashman please. Like deadass hire a fucking the show franchise rebuilder. How are the first two picks NYY and 30% of the rule 5 guys Yankees. We can’t identity talent and when we have it we can’t make space on a roster. Mfs have the shortest porch in baseball and establish a team of the most expensive righties ever. I hated paying for Stanton when Bryce Harper was going to be available in FA a year later. It makes no sense we should have been signing guys like Bryce, wouldn’t have been shocked by a 50 HR Schwarber season if he played in NY and there wasn’t an expensive ass Giancarlo Stanton stealing at bats from him. Stop wasting money on shit you don’t need or fits your ballpark or lineup splits. Protect your prospects if you’re going to be cheap. Soto honestly isn’t the best fit still an amazing hitter but go get a power lefty I don’t understand wouldn’t pull lefties want to pad their stats at yankee stadium on a short contract and then sign a massive deal somewhere else. We can leverage the wall to get short deals on the best pull guy every year. Easy peasy. Trade dump Stanton. If you Have protected these 3 pitchers. They’re clearly valuable to other teams. Package them to someone and have them eat that Stanton contract. Now you can go after ohtani, or anybody lol.
I think Coleman Crow was not taken BECAUSE he might not pitch this year. Correct me If I am wrong, but a MLB Rule 5 pick needs to be on the active roster (not IL) for at least 90 days to have his rights secured for future seasons. I do not think Crow will be healthy enough to be on a team's active roster for three months, meaning his Rule 5 status would carry over into 2025. I understand teams not willing to take that risk, even with how interesting of a prospect he is.
