They addressed as to who the plaintiff was, and I love the guy that addressed DB's eye rolling and disrespect. That was Chris Owens 4:55:02.

They should have reminded him of what he's facing: Solitary confinement, constantly watching his back, harassment and danger from inmates and guards, never being with a woman again, not going to his mother's funeral when she's gone, being completely alone, never getting a home cooked meal, being told what to do every single day, and being completely alone and slowly going insane is what he faces. That would have gotten to him, because he only cares about himself, not their pain. I understand though, they are good people. They expect him to hurt because they hurt, but he won't. He's not capable of empathy.

I put bugs outside rather than kill them. With that said I am certain I could put a bullet between Monsters eyes and feel I had done a good thing. I know I could sleep soundly the same night. He was my favorite too; a really brilliant summation. What a great guy, and he’s really young. His mother must be so proud. And he delivered his speech after listening to his mother’s painful speech. He was amazing.

Thank you Peter, I appreciate the opportunity to voice our frustrations and vent as we approach the conclusion of the trial. Sometimes their isn’t anything more to add in regards to commentary but allowing us a place to bring this case to a close adds just as much benefit. Thank you!

It was a very sad day! 😔 I have to admit that I couldn't watch and listen after the first group. Jackson's mother was so heartbreaking and powerful 💔 😢 😭 I had to stop because of the emotional connection. It was just too much! I might watch it all later. Thank you for doing a recap...I am hoping to get through it 🙏 My heart goes out to all the people involved ❤️ In my eyes, although devastating and traumatic, the Good is conquering the Evil!! As you said, the Judge is doing such a respectful job and I will definitely be watching what she says and does!! I pray that it brings some kind of healing to this community 🙏

It strikes home that even with sentencing scheduled for this afternoon, it is not the end. It is a milestone. This horror, trauma and medical issues continue on for the victims, their families and their community for rest of their lives. It has impacted all of us too.

I appreciated this recap the way you did it. I watched the entire trial-started halfway through then had to go back to the beginning over a weekend because there was so much context there-and then watched to the end. Your channel along with some of the other ‘lawtube’ channels were and are invaluable for we the public’s contextual understanding of why things were happening in court the way they were. Thank you. I felt I had to watch the victim impact statements without commentary, though. I watched all day. They deserved that respect and to have their words honored. It was late for me when it ended, though (Atlantic time zone), and so I waited until this morning to watch your recap. As always you did a great job. You picked up on the points I needed to hear, and confirmed what I had been thinking. The only thing I disagree on is Brooks feeling any remorse. That chest patting was a mockery, not agreement with the speaker; IMHO he was using the preaching responses taught him by his pastor grandparents which were expected of him when he was forced to go to church as a child. I will never believe he’s gone since then, unless it was to manipulate others. He doesn’t believe in anything beyond himself, but he always attempts to manipulate the perceptions of others. He knew intellectually what was expected of him but, like a bored child sitting in a pew, was constitutionally incapable of keeping up the pretense for any length of time. Cue the contempt and eye-rolling. Judge Dorow (Superhero in a Robe!!) called him out on it when she pointedly said, at the very end, that the people he should be apologizing to were the victims. BOOM! Mike drop! “Court is in recess.” I can’t wait to see who besides his mom actually calls in on the Zoom this afternoon.

He tried doing a number of subtle actions, but STILL flat refused to apologized to the victims...... Even when he "apologized" to the judge for his mouth and she suggested that his apologies need to be directed to the victims, not her.
