She didn't do any homework in this case, she didn't even know key details of the crime itself. It was painful watching her ramble and not really answer the question, she was late all the time and held the court up and caused all sorts of chaos. She was horrible.

The end of this day was "courtroom on fire" stressful! Even the judge lost it and YELLED at Dr Lewis to STOP. Whew, she was a handful and should not be allowed to be in a courtroom anymore. I truly hope they take her license to practice any sort of medicine, in any category, away. She is not capable anymore. I hope someone reports her.

Prosecution stopped the vid at the point he left the room, when the interview ended, and asked Dotty, "who's that?". She said she didn't know, she didn't recognise him, and Prosecution said, " That's your son! You don't recognise your own son?!" So, yes, she's a liar......I can't wait to see L get life x

Yes, this trial is right up there with the worst this year. Imagine being Gannon's mother right now. Unbearable pain and I would feel such anger toward that woman. I can't wait until justice is served. It won't bring him back and it won't heal wounds but it's a start on a very painful road to recovery for Gannon's family.

The thing that gets me, is Leticia describes how bad the bio mother is being on drugs controlled by drugs, no home etc, this is not the first case where the bio mother lost their kids and the kids land up in people like Leticia’s care. Laila Daniel comes to mind, taken out of her mothers care because she was on drugs, landed up being in foster care, in foster care she was abused Brocken bones etc landed up dead, then poor Gannon. My point is, a mother or parent may be on drugs but at least they never harmed their child or caused the death of their child. There is one case where both parents were on drugs and high on meth when a 2 week old baby died, the mother had her one reversed but the father remains in prison with life and rightfully so

Rewatch crew. This case is really nuts. Definitely not likely that defense expert will be called back for any side of any trial it would seem. Her expert testimony days were numbered when she took the stand. To not even know the legal definition of the insanity defense in Colorado is just inexcusable. And for her to even remotely indicate that she's going to take a slant based on who hires her shows that she's simply not able to be an objective expert. That means she's not hireable. IMO.

That was both unprofessional and unethical as well as a HIPPA violation. Additionally he was the one smoking marijuana in the court on the stairs that the judge was referring to at one point and he was also using his phone inside the courtroom. Between that and Dr Lewis turning up late to the court four times she comes across as extremely unprofessional and disrespectful towards the court.

Apparently in Colorado expert witnesses don't have to write the reports so essentially the defence can write what they want and just have the expert sign it. This was told to me by a lawyer who used to work in Colorado.

Peter, the emails came out that she's the one who wrote the defense attorneys and told them to withdraw her request for the EEG and MRI! It had NOTHING to do with lack of funding, it had to do with her very own ask of the defense to withdraw her request.

Agreed. She was ACTUALLY insane and was telling people she was going to kill her kids, would go on meds, do better, then her husband would make her go off the meds and be the sole care taker of the kids which exacerbated existing mental illness until she had a full on break. I buy her story, but I don't buy LS.

I've never in all my court watching and work in criminal justice seen something this bad. She certainly added to the prosecution case. However, the defense doesn't have much to work with, in my opinion, and I guess they had to attempt to prove the insanity due to their clients' plea. But again.... just WOW😮

I wish I would’ve been able to see the live! On the re-watch crew now. Currently watching the video, and tbh, I was embarrassed for Dr. Lewis by the end of the day yesterday. I think it was the perfect storm - she is unable to remember *several* things, IMO she believes that her reputation should carry more weight than it does (or should), the defense did NOT prep her or provide adequate or complete information for her, or do the recommended testing, and the defendant very likely does not have DID. Overall, this expert witness situation was a mess. I just sat there shaking my head while watching Dr Lewis testify.

Dr. Lewis is the PERFECT example of why the field of psychology and psychiatry argue over if DID is a legitimate diagnosis or not. I was exposed to the idea of DID as a kid from a doc on HBO (when it was called MPD) and a huge issue with the diagnosis is the same as "repressed memories." It's been proven that in some cases the doctor puts the ideas in people's heads and uses vulnerable people or people like LS to bolster their claims of these diagnoses. She doesn't care if LS has DID, she just wants to prove that DID is real, she's the foremost expert on DID, and it's too complicated to diagnose it unless you're someone like her. It's just too complicated for us little laymans. I think it's ego. Everyone thinks Dr. Lewis is mentally ill or has memory loss, I think she's calculated. I think she took it because it's a huge, televised case and she wants to prove her expertise. I HATE the "sides" argument she makes too. Everyone is paid by the state!

Peter, her SON was in that room! She sat way close to Lie-teecia, she wore a scarf that could be used to choke her, she sat with her cane right by Lie-teecia too and claimed safety issues?! She led Lie-teecia through the evaluation with her statements to her, the questions she allowed the defense attorney to ask, and prompted responses during the evaluation!

I’ve have visited many jails and prisons. Doing pharmacy inspections. They were very, very strict about what you could wear inside. No scarf or any type of necklace that could be used to choke you was allowed.

She was an absolute joke for an expert! Also I watched her documentary on hbo. She essentially, in my opinion, has a hard time accepting people can be evil and kill. In her mind, I think, in order for someone to murder they have to have some kind of brain dysfunction or injury. She makes excuses for killers. Psychotic or not when you kill an innocent child, who cares if you were insane.

I watched all except the jury question answers because the dang audio was off!!! Never have I ever seen such disrespect for the judicial system, including being late, despite admonishments by the Judge! Dr. Lewis was proved to have lied under oath several times. I found her to have ZERO credibility! She had HER OWN SON sitting in the evaluations of Lie-teecia, along with one of the defense attorneys. Imho, her son read all the documents and provided her with a summary, and it came out that the attorney typed up her report! WTH?!?!?! I'm not going to say more because I'm still furious!

Watching the replay Peter I feel like the defense dragged her out of the nursing home to testify and in their mind who they got Dr Lewis-she’s been argumentative, late and disrespectful to the court and I feel like she down right lied on the stand. I only hope the jury sees it I can’t wait for their questions unless they don’t ask any for fear she won’t shut up.

The test that the doctor kept saying she ordered and wanted the defendant to get brain scans and stuff like that Leticia we found out today that the doctor or psychiatrist is the one that sent the defendant an email saying not to get them test after yesterday she kept saying that she didn't know nothing about it and the defense kept saying the judge would know case the test they found a paper stating that she's the one that requested them not to get the test. So what would they do in that instance
