She doesn't seem able or willing to understand that, as forensic psychiatrist Dr. Michael H. Stone says, some people are born evil and instead she's built her career on portraying the worst killers as victims. She essentially replicated the same claims she made about Arthur Shawcross in this trial of Letitia Staunch but as this trial is televised so now her incompetence and bias along with her rambling style is on display for all too see. She either has dementia or she’s a crazy, pathological liar like Lie-tecia 😂😂😂. With her illustrious career, I lean towards a cognitive deficit. She can’t remember anything. At 85, she seriously might have something wrong neurologically and her saying no was true (to her) then shortly after seeing them the answer was yes and that was also true (to her and us). She definitely lies like my dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. For them confabulation and defensive responses are extremely common and a hallmark sign of a decline in memory related to a neuro degenerative disorder. Her lateness is another sign. You don’t become as successful as she is by having no respect and courtroom decorum. Memory impaired patients may remember they have to be somewhere and then forget what they’re getting ready for and where they’re going. She has to have someone assisting her. It also explains why she can’t remember CO statutes or what she wrote in her own book.

I ended up watching her HBO documentary. And she is EXACTLY the same on the witness stand now as she was over the last 40 years of testifying. Hectic, disorganized, rambling etc. some of the lawyers interviewed said how brilliant she is but she’s awful on the stand and they had to stop using her. I’m kind of glad I watched her testimony on this case before I watched the docu because I could see thru a lot of things.

I’ve watched my fair share of trials, and have honestly never been so stunned and baffled by an expert witness. Her unprofessionalism from the simplest things (being late, which really isn’t *that* small, but forgivable), to her complete disregard for other professional’s opinions, her loquaciousness when (not) answering questions on the stand, her providing misinformation or withholding evidence (whether malicious or unintentional) regarding documents/communications/etc - as well as many other things - were quite shocking. I worked with adult & geriatric patients for a good number of years, with many of them having cognitive deficits due to a wide variety of reasons, and I’m honestly concerned for her cognitive functioning. Dr Lewis should seriously consider seeing a neurologist, and I will leave it at that. Thank you so much for your coverage of this case, Peter, as well as all of the other topics and trials you cover. We appreciate you!! 🙏⛳️

Being late ONCE or maybe twice…. Might be forgivable. MIGHT be. But this one here was late EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. That takes EFFORT. And arrogance and entitlement. Combined with her convenient forgetfulness …. And outright impropriety…..

Listening to her ramble on gives me Grandpa Simpson vibes. "Once I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so I decided to go to Morganville which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So, I tied an onion to my belt which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel. And in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em. ‘Give me five bees for a quarter,’ you’d say. Now, where were we? Oh, yeah! The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.” lol. Yeesh.

It was said that the jail staff overheard her talking to herself in her cell & Dr. Lewis said that was evidence of her "issues". No. What she was really doing was practicing all of her fake accents. We saw & heard HOURS of conversations she had with detectives, Al, etc. & never one time did she suddenly develop an accent. Guilty. Not insane.

There are a couple of ladies doing updates after the court session also. A few days ago one of them had a friend of hers that HAS DID talk about the illness. They asked her if She thought Leticia had DID. She said no, she can't just call up an alter, & she rarely has knowledge of what they do. Example: she gets packages & has no idea what they are. She gave a lot of examples & helpful information that had very little to do with what this Dr was saying

One of the things that has me concerned is that many people thought Casey Anthony would be convicted, but she was found not guilty. Is that something we should consider at this point with regard to Lietecia?
@lindaaitken7679
@lindaaitken7679 Год назад
The only thing for the jury to consider is whether she was insane; they already know she killed gannon. In Anthony's case, they were looking at whether she did the crime or not.

The fact that the attorney didn't do anything nefarious in the privacy of private meetings between himself and his client in NO WAY points to his lack of intention to mislead the jurors, but instead solidifies the fact that he clearly wasn't prepared for his "expert witness" to make such an unfathomable own goal by deliberately insinuating that it was in fact the state who prevented a brain scan being performed on the defendant when the actual truth of the matter was it was actually the expert witness, backed up in her email she sent, who suggested for the scan NOT to be carried out!. Utterly mind blowing.

Dr. Lewis has received criticism in several high profile trials for this exact same set of behaviors - trying to diagnose DID/epilepsy/brain damage with no credible evidence, asking leading questions that suggest answers, and relying on anecdotal evidence and self reports rather than scientific measures. She's been criticized by the head of the APA and NAMI for this and jurors in previous cases have said she's damaged the defense.
