I’m not vaccinated for Hep B but I tested negative. Could this be a sign of alcohol damage? Will I be able to reverse the damage? I’m 27; good diet and exercise often, about 10-12 total glasses of wine per week, with an average of 3 glasses per sitting. Also, I was on my vacation and drinking more than usual 10 days before the fibroscan. Could that have impacted the results?

But after my gall removal operation, I have been leading a healthy diet until Last September, somehow I feel, I had been eating unhealthy again, like late-night snacks and heavy rich food. But after April of this month, when I feel very sick, I transformed and have been leading a very healthy life with 2 hrs exercise daily. I believe 4 months back results were due to my unhealthy lifestyle while recent results of SGPT and liver size is due to my change in lifestyle. I have never done fibroscan before, so not sure, if it was more than 5.7kpa before or its 5.7kpa now, after my liver going through lots of heavy-hitting in the last 6 years, I was 95kg 2 yrs back. After the gall operation, My weight was 83kg this April. Now it's 74 kg. Height 5 ft 9 inches. My USG reports showed Fatty Liver Grade 2 this April (4 months back). Before that, like this January, I had Fatty Liver Grade 1. So in April, it had got into fatty liver grade 2. Now I am leading a very healthy lifestyle. and diet. Though I do tend to feel very tired and low blood pressure lately.. I never had Blood sugar and any blood pressure issue before. What's your opinion and sugegstion for me ? I will be extremely grateful for your help and suggestions. I would like to get back to normal. Below 4.5kpa. And as much less fatty grade as possible.

One if the reasons i rather duslike fibroscans is they often are vague at kpa scores... a donut befire the scan will add 2 points... 5.7 is very healthy and you have really improved ... just eat more greens exercise mire avoid sugar n fried you are gonna be just fine

It's very simple you are only 5.2 and 200 pounds... I am actually surprised your liver is not having a higher cap/fat score..this may be due to younger age....to get some perspective a healthy weight is 50 to 60 pounds lighter ..I recommend trying to lose a lot of weight... try to get a sport..... avoid having 3 meals a day... Switch to maybe 1 with 2 light snacks

You are highly overweight and you need to try losing more than 10% of your body weight to get some relief. Say goodbye forever to Alcohol, junk food, soft drinks, deep-fried, excessively sweet products. Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits and stay hydrated. Take another Fibroscan after a gap of at least one month, till then take Evion 400 with breakfast and dinner. For at least 3 hours before fibroscan no liquid and food intake.

Your results will never reach normal range but you can still live a normal life and increase your lifespan by many many years with proper diet, lifestyle and medication. Aapka liver bahut kuchh jhel chuka hai, ab aisa kuchh bhi mat khaao jo us par stress daale.

OK they scanned your lunch plus your fatty liver... you must not eat fir 8 hours before a scan... or else scan is pointless..... 2 hours is crazy.... as the the morbid obesity.... drop a meal get a sport.... sport will help most.... avoid eating after 6pm

I run the UK hbv helpline and am not a dr.... there is a measure called CAP that can be done along with kpa... that is good for measuring fatty liver... and may be cause of your troubles... the liver is good at recovery and 12 is not so bad...do you have hep b also

Apologies i misread your height as 5 foot 3 ... not 6 foot 2.....Well 93 kilos needs to be nearer 75 kilos... you have ate until your body and liver is choked with fat... so get organised only one meal a day preferably at 1pm and snack at 8am and snack at 6pm.... plan to lose 20 kilos .... get a sport start with long long walks... the liver is needing to avoid oily and fried foods and fizzy sugar drinks.... definitely ditch any alcohol ... paracetamol and protein type shakes...

@@tusharsolanki2127 the alt shows liver is struggling with the fat badly... the ggt looks like a toxin or alcohol is present..... do a hbv dna level test and a hep b profile panel and a hep d test to see if hepatitis is causing any troubles... at the moment good diet is strongly needed.... you don't have lots of fibrosis and you don't have cirrhosis so repairing yourself should be easy over a year of better diet and more testing

I call it toxic living... a western supermarket is actually full of stuff that is known to destroy the liver.. Obesity..... fructose rich junk food.... processed junk.... carcinogenic cheap meats..... additives like paint....preservatives full of poisons.... protein shakes.... carbonated sugar drinks.... crisps with enough salt to guarantee hypertension. @@jhune2478 Look at a lower carbohydrate diet but that does not mean no carbohydrates. Lots of green vegetables, occasional fruit, nuts, eggs, fish and so on. Stay away from processed foods such as crisps or pies as they can contain lots of junk or look for their healthier alternatives. Lower carbohydrate does not mean you cannot eat rice, bread or potatoes but if you eat them every day try alternating. I suspect the abundance of food in the modern world combined with genetics is the problem.

A fibroscan an hour after food gives a completely false reading....you have no hep b.... and probably no fibrosis

An hour after food means the scan measured your dinner not your liver.... do it again without food for 8 hours

OK if this person does not massively reduce the weight and eat far less he will get worse and not improve... his liver is full of fat and over time this gets more and more solid and fibrosis forms. So get him on a Mediterranean diet fast... remove oil n fried and fatty meats from diet completely... get him a exercise regime also....avoid sugary foods n fizzy drinks especially...
