I am 56 and I must say watching this, names like Vanison, gilespie, Ablet, Mcmahon, spakman ,Hooper Molby,Venison, give me a chill. Even More than Rush , Hansen Dalglish and whealan Names I have not heard in 40 years or so. the names of those unsang heros take me back to happier days, even more than those of the superstars of those days. I must admit I enjoyed seeing Sheedy southhall Steven and the rest of the blue gang too.

The greatest atmosphere I've ever experienced at anfield , it beats barca, Chelsea and even spurs 1982, I couldn't hear properly for 2 weeks !

I had a ticket for this game but spat the dummy out and sold it, because we'd lost the league to Everton. I did regret it after such a great match and result for Liverpool. The echo led with the headline 'Life in the old dog yet' and they were right. Because Liverpool became champions the following year and would've/should've done their second 'double', had they not lost to Wimbledon in the cup final.

Fucking hell man, imagine celebrating a big goal in front of that Kop. What a rush that must be.

I was on the kop with many many blues that day and as usual rush got his goals ratcliffe had his usual shite game against liverpool rush must have loved playing against him,l ro remember it was very loud that day,we just can't beat them when we need to EVER?

Blues filled the Kop that day,was in the main stand with me dad,walked home to norris green while all the reds were getting taxis to lime Street.

Did Kevin ratcliffe ever do a proper marking job on rush really poor defending rush was found out in Italy he couldn't handle the tight marking an didn't have the individual talent to make goals on his own
