It's because of the legacy of Sir Matt and Sir Bob is why Liverpool and Manchester United are still two of the biggest clubs in world football right now in the 2020s
More often than not, United seemed to get the better of Liverpool in the one off exchanges back in the 80s, but Liverpool always ended up on top at the seasons end. I miss the 80s footy, it was so much more passionate and played in front of 'real' fans. Good days.
Incredible atmosphere for the charity shield in the 80s better now than an fa cup final most of the time, colour everywhere to be fair man u fans were top notch
Brian Robson he was a great player I think he would’ve fitted in well at Liverpool it’s a shame injuries robbed him of some of his best years as a football fan I always hoped he’d be fit for England
Joe doesn’t get the credit he deserves I remember Charlie Nicholas and Steve McMahon both turning down Liverpool and he still managed to win the treble that never gets mentioned
