Pastor Brian Noble, CEO of Peacemaker Ministries, has extensive experience in conflict coaching and mediation. He wants Christians to understand we live in a fallen world where conflict is common and reconciliation is only possible because of the Gospel - that Jesus died for our sins to bring us into reconciliation with God and others. Brian acknowledges that reconciliation can be very difficult, and he described a series of “courageous attitudes” whereby we can move toward reconciliation with other people. He also talks about no longer counting the other person’s offenses and seeing them as “brand-new” in Jesus. Brian shares stories about conflict in his own marriage, how he was able to reconcile with his father growing up, and stories about people he’s counseled through reconciliation.

Thank you! Recently belittled and scorned in my prayer group and then tattled on to pastor. Never been spoken to so arrogantly or with such hostility and ive been in the church for 30 years. I took several nights to be able to sleep again and stop churning

It's been particularly out there since covid. Impatience, rudeness, self-absorbed, and just plain nasty! I have felt that there are clicks in churches especially if someone has been a member since day one of the church. Some old members just don't embrace new people like you think they should.

It's important for parents to "discuss" things they may have differences of opinions in at least earshot of choldren. My parents were separated around 7 yrs total when I was young. I never saw them argue or even discuss anything. I grew up never to this day without the tools to speak to any of my 4 husbands. I couldn't get any of them to stop beating me each time when I left they couldn't understand why. I couldn't explain that either. 😪

LIVING AT PEACE! Pilgrims walking towards Spiritual Sites can just aim at getting there, travelling, or can associate walking with journeying as in Stations of the Cross or other Spiritual mental or physical interactions. It is a mistake then to match, for example, a Religion with the type of walk. Since Sacred Psychology considers paths towards one's truth or Faith, it may not be fair to dump the baby and the bath water. It is fantastic to reach a point where we can very much relate to views and feelings that deeply touch our buttons and it requires openness to appreciate a variety of both lateral (stopping on the way at given opportunities) and vertical activities aiming more directly at a goal. A tree cannot be fully determined by the trunk alone. Each of us has been given, more than in the past, a wider vision of the world that can allow us to fully use, enjoy and sustain the Gratitude associated with a feeling of Oneness to the fuller potential that is made available to us!

What do you do when a Father is constantly provoking their Child? The Child is trying their best to avoid conflict but the Father keeps pushing them to Sin.

Choose to love them… it is always a choice… our nature is to repay unkind with unkind, specially our family, but choose to love!

Maybe speak to the parent about this with love and respect and the Word, but don't expect change in the short-term. The Holy Ghost has to do His work. And care for yourself, talk to Christian counsellor/supportive and trustworthy church member. And keep giving thanks no matter what, speak over yourself, confuse the enemy, we are a peculiar people.

One of my sisters has been extremely toxic, to the extent that every single member of our family has cut off communication with her. I do not feel the least bit guilty because she has hurled false accusations at all of us and has burned all of her bridges. She continues to lie about me on Facebook. I know this because my youngest daughter is still “friends” with her and has told me. I have tried several times to reconcile with her, but she loves sewing discord and spewing hateful rhetoric at me. The last email we had was about salvation. Even though we had godly parents who raised us up in Church in the fear and admonition of the Lord, she has chosen to be bitter and leave her Christian faith. When I shared with her how to get saved and that Jesus is the only way, she blew up at me and quit emailing me, but continued to lie about me publicly. This is not about irreconcilable differences, because I have an unsaved brother that I communicate with on a regular basis. It’s about me being verbally abused at every turn and deciding that I don’t need to subject myself to It anymore.
