Weed is a connection between the earth where it is grown and our bodies where it is inhaled and then the air or the heavens where it is exhaled. While I am proud of you for supporting yourself in your choice that makes you happy. I look forward to more openness and acceptance plus freedom to enjoy weed for the relaxing medicine and flavor that it is. Sorry for failing to see a negativity with Marijuana. I think the negativity toward weed is the only bad part of weed. Again I am proud of you for being happy about your choices. I just want to remind people that the opposite of your choice isn't a bad choice. Weed is very healthy for people. Spirituality and other reasons.

I have a home and I’m financially stable and still my anxiety is high. Why? Because in the USA everything can be taken away in an instant. The lack of safety is keeping me mostly a homebody. The lack of friendly people keeps me from going out much. Borrowing others stress by way of unprofessional service, aggressive drivers, unfriendly neighbors, etc. makes creating peace a constant struggle. I have inner peace but it’s work to maintain it here in the USA. What a beautiful video Jose ❤ So happy you are in a better head space. Congratulations!!!
@JoseArteagaTravels

The struggle is real. I know it all too well. Little did I know while living in the USA that there could be better out there for me. I never thought that leaving the USA would make me the happiest I have ever been in my entire life. This is why I don't focus so much on cost of living and trying to maintain a similar lifestyle here in Mexico. I realized that the main reason I have been able to achieve inner peace is by slowly leaving my past life and routine behind. I now embrace everything about life out here in Mexico because the culture and the life out here is what truly has made me get to this point of so much clarity and happiness. Thanks again for sharing, hope you make it out to Mexico soon!

Exactly, even if you are financially stable you can't escape the American system that creates a toxic society, unless you move to another country. I think the over the top greed and materialism in the US is the problem or just plain bad values. Mexico is a Christian country and you see it and feel it. In the US I feel oppression and exploitation.
@PeaceforLisa

@@rfink222 So happy for you that you are on your way to enjoying a home in Mexico. Christian’s in Mexico adhere to the guiding principles of their religion. Christian’s in America use religion to dictate other’s lives while they themselves have almost no basic values. Just my observation of 50 plus years 😂

Are fruits and vegetables very different in the US? For me in Mexico, I think of our fruit and veggies as normal, but apparently they are of a very good quality?
@mamacat321
@mamacat321 3 месяца назад
YES -- the food quality has definitely gotten worse! When we visited down there, my husband's food allergies went away completely -- he could eat anything he wanted, whereas he had to avoid even organic versions of them up here. So strange.

@@mamacat321 Very strange indeed. A common belief here is that the very best of our products, our veggies and beer and fruit are sent to the US while we keep the lower quality for our country, but I see now that it’s not true.

If you go to the Mexican border in the US then walk or drive across the border into Mexico you will feel the stress and anxiety of the US melt away. The materialism, anxiety, and insanity vanishes. Sanity returns. Mexicans are polite and society is nicer. Everything in the USA is about getting rich, exploiting other people to get rich, competition.

I couldn't agree with you more. It's as if there is some sort of spell everyone is under in the USA, some sort of dark cloud infecting everyone living there. When I used to visit Tijuana before moving out here to Merida I would feel the same weight just lifting off of me, and I would feel that heaviness soon as I would talk to the American border agent heading back into the USA. I still remember vividly when I left the USA for good and was flying into Mexico City how a giant sense of relief just hit me like a ton of bricks and once I got here to Merida I finally felt free without even knowing how much more amazing things were going to get. @@JoseArteagaTravels As usual my friend you hit the nail on the head!! I actually felt the weight drop off my shoulders as the Captain on my flight to Mexico said that we had just crossed the border into Mexico!! The U.S. like a big sucking machine taking all the air out of the room as you GASP to breath!! It is why after living here in Mexico for 12 years and 2 months I have never gone back or have any plans to ever go back to the U.S. When a few friends of mine came down last year to visit, me you could see on the faces when it came time to leave and go back to the U.S. the happiness turned to sadness and I told them that they should go back and get ready to leave permanently and they looked at me and said they wish they could!! They made many excuses and I just stood there and shook my head and said to myself a little courage goes a long way. I can say that my life has been amazing since I moved to Mexico and I intend to live out my days here in a Paradise of freedom and liberty!!! Viva Mexico!!!😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃!!!!!!! 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌!!!

The soft freedoms that exist in Mexico are so much more than in the US. Every time my wife and I travel to San Antonio to visit family the stress level raises. On the drive back the stress begins to lift once we arrive in the Rio Grande Valley and once we drive across the bridge into Reynosa the stress has fully lifted. I don't know how much a job would have to pay me to move back to the interior of the US but I am sure it would need to be way over $100K!

My wife and myself visited Merida Yucatan for the first time in 2023, and we did not speak Spanish very well at all, but the Mexican people really tried to help these two gringos get around Mexico City & Merida. In particular the police were extremely friendly & helpful, as we tried to explant where we wanted to go in our broken Spanish. Thanks to Jose Arteaga's videos we've decided to return & retire in the Yucatan, we loved it so much, especially the people! 🥰👍

We just got a letter from our home owners insurance company that said if we don't trim our trees away from our house by April 15, tax day, they won't renew our policy. Sure they need to be trimmed, but I find it a bit ironic that it came when it did. We're OVER it here. Everything is designed to separate you from your hard earned money to where you have nothing. It's a hell of a system they have designed. In a way, it's impressive. They left us with the choice of staying and paying or leaving and living. Period.

I have to be honest Jose, I'm not really thinking of going to Mexico to live there (I'm more interested in Colombia, but who knows, maybe I'll choose Mexico), but a lot of your videos are motivational and inspire me to be more positive since I really struggle with negative thinking. Living in the US is extremely difficult these days, and despite my level of education and experience at 35 going on 36 years of age, I still find myself struggling here in California. I thought moving abroad is a pipe dream, but lately I've been seriously considering it, especially since I've been giving up on American women and I find that women abroad such as in Mexico and Colombia seem to be of a higher quality than most women who live here in the US. It also helps that I'm able to speak 4 languages, one of them being Spanish, so it should help me tremendously when going abroad to Latin America.

Hello José, Many of the social standards and values of American society are very wrong, a person is valued by the money he earns, the house he lives in, the car he drives. That leads many people to the moral misery you talk about. Down there in Mexico you found that true happiness lies in the simplicity of life. Life without the stress and social pressure that many people are subjected to here in the United States. The simplicity of love for yourself, for your family, for your friends, for your job and the place where you live are the true riches that a man needs to be happy. Congratulations on overcoming your addiction and thank you for your videos.

Viva Mexico! Great video and you speak many truths. I have spent a lot of time in Puerto Vallarta and have traveled throughout Mexico. It is a beautiful place with nice people. You are right about the cops in the US. I stopped driving I-70 from CO to NV because of police harassment in UT. I am a woman driving alone and some criminal K-9 cops in UT stopped me for tinted windows. The cop wanted me to get into his K-9 vehicle. Told him my family was in law enforcement and he backed off. There is generalized aggravation here. High taxes, corrupt g, an all around hassle. I am figuring out my exit strategy.

As a person who was born in the usa but raised in mexico, please do your own research before believing anything on the internet. La policia in mexico is by farrrrrrrrrrrrr more corrupt than the u.s.a , Labada de dinero es cosa seria. i dont know how long this guy has been living in mexico for, But we Mexicans locals get stopped for no reason and the police will force you to pay up or have your vehicle towed. yes, Mexico is beautiful and full of culture. i feel grounded when i am in Mexico. the environment and energy in Mexico is like no other. i do feel safer in Mexico than i do in Los Angeles. the crime rate, home invasions and smash in grabs in southern California has gotten so bad that californians are moving away in huge numbers. also in regards to "bootlickers" please don't believe this man. we mexicans are on the side of authority in mexico, and we do comply. please understand this thus guy is living in a small town in yucatan. if he lived in jalisco, michoacan or any other state outside of his small pueblo i think he would see things diffrently. stay safe and enjoy mexico
@JoseArteagaTravels
@JoseArteagaTravels 3 месяца назад
I've been living in Mexico 6 years and have had my run ins with the cops out here as well and have talked about it on my channel. With that said, I totally agree different parts of Mexico do have different kind of police. First off all police no matter the country are extremely corrupt. But as it pertains to Mexico the cops here just want to shake you down for some cash and extort you. As you already know they are more dangerous than the Cartel themselves. But the cops in the USA are far worse. In the USA they actually kill you over minor infractions and not only tow your car for no reason but they arrest you and put you in the system in which you are trying to pay out of for years. In Mexico if you get pulled over by corrupt cops and you know your rights many times you can be let go but worse case scenario all they want is a mordida. If they give you a ticket/citation thats actually the best case scenario. But never will the cops in Mexico take yourlife unless they plan on facing the consequences of a murder charge. In the US they get awards and medals for that type of behavior. Again i totally agree that the Mexican police treat locals way worse but again you and me both know how much worse they can treat you in the USA. You even admitted it yourself how bad the USA is. L.A is not as bad as other parts of the country. Either way cops are bad on both sides of the border but they are much safer out here than in the USA by far. Thanks again for sharing.

You make a great point. The USA is one of the most "medicated" Countries in the world simply because it is just so hard to live there mentally. I'm sure if the people weren't so horrible and toxic the USA would be a much easier place to live and not so many people would be looking for a way out. Good video Man. We have a similar situation here in Canada just without guns. A lot of people have mental issues because of the broken families and people tent to be super isolated. I am still freak out because "friends" don't use to see each other every often, like once of twice every 2-3 months. Also, I have the constant felling that there is always a layer between people when I talk to them. Yes, they are polite but that's it. If you want to have a deep talk they seem that they don't care or that they are afraid to say the wrong thing. Also, because there are to many immigrants. Is common to loose your social group after 2 to 3 years. They end moving to another city of going back to their countries. So, that affect people too. Is repeating the whole cycle from time to time pretty fast, is very consuming and even overwhelming. I don't smoke pot. But people here told me that it's different from the one in Latin America. The pot from Canada usually gives them paranoic feelings very often. Glad you are happy. The warming feeling you have in Mexico is something that I even didn't notice. I started to notice it the difference when I visit some places in the USA and started living in Canada. From my opinion people tend to be more individualist and self oriented up there. Materialism also have a strong influence in that hollow feeling. Take care and I wish you well!
