Living on Villasol Campsite Benidorm..Whats it really like?

Really enjoyed the interviews with those residents, you asked some good questions. So, this was the same site as shown on “Bargain Loving Brits?” It’s lovely to see people who have found happiness where they have chosen to live. Can’t say I’m not also tempted to “take the plunge!”

I worked in Benidorm 35 years ago and in March we had a blizzard and I think it was the coldest I've ever been in working 8 years in Spain

Hi Judy and mark I have to admit that caravan site is very nice would suit me and the wife if me a d misses weren't tied down with family commitments of looking after her dad I'd b over there like a shot that is very nice glad u took the time out to visit the site to view it I bet u guys wouldn't mind it there yourselves thanks for sharing .kev

Stayed on villasol several times great site nice quite and only 15 min walk into town to all the bars and shops ideal for family’s hope to do a long term there some time. In the future Small town not to far away Albir nice for a day out

Loved this vlog those campers seemed to be enjoying life .We have visited friends who have wintered there and we were also amazed at the equipment in the awnings but at the time didn't realise they were permanent residential.Mark and Judy what's next on the tourist trail

Great vlog, site looks nice it was interesting to see that some were permanent and others just go over when they can, cheap as chips air fares too.

Hi. Thanks for that very informative video. I have family in Calpe, Alicante and am considering driving down from the UK for a few months. I just have to decide which camping site to stop at. I own a micro camper - a converted 2002 Renault Kangoo. Do I have to own a big van to stay there or can I stay in my own little van? I do also have a tent should I need extra space but shouldn't be necessary

The Villasol campsite is featured on the ITV 'Bargain Loving Brits' TV show - has all that publicity made it harder to get in?

Hobby’s are 8ft wide, their lovely vans but sadly you couldn’t tow that in the uk with a car/suv due to the length, you would require a commercial vehicle and a category c1e license but are great for seasonal pitches due to the space

Hi my family go here every dec my parents go off in there campvan and they go over from nov and then we meet up with them in dec but last year was a no go but hopfully this year we will hopefully be going here to villamore it is so nice there people that live on there are lovley and everyone on there staff are nice and your not far from shop a beach

Only thing straight away that stopped me liking the site would never go any where my dogs aren’t welcome could not imagine a life without my fur babies they make my holidays been without a dog once hated it but great for anyone who don’t have one

There is something I just don't understand... I am considering doing something similar next year - not in Benidorm, probably more around Valencia or Alicante, and I'll be moto camping, but the basic idea is the same. According to all my research, you cannot live in a camping in Spain for more than 6 months a year, and you cannot get residency there... The resident status is necessary to have a Spanish medical insurance, Spanish registered vehicle and insurance and so on. So what I don't get is... How are these people doing to go around that? If I got it right they live there year round - just like I've seen in the "bargain loving Brits" series... Except it's not supposed to be legal. So if there is a solution to that problem I'd love to know what it is :)

Depends on what you want though. For the same price (or often cheaper), apartments are quieter, cooler & much more secure. The campsites in my opinion are too noisy and overpriced.

Does villasol have mobile homes for rent?

£700 for 10 days self catering that's expensive I stayed in the port benidorm for ten days in Feb half board for £220 and that's a four star hotel

Try going on to a campsite in England with a hobby caravan no chance they think traveller straight away and tell you no space the Spanish aren't so shallow all the very best for you're forward journey

Post Brexit you could only stay here a maximum of 90 days in a period of 180 days

Ahh..so this is where all the normal folk of England are all at. I've found my people. You don't get community like this in the UK anymore.

I lived on Almafra 2015-2016 until convicted con man Chris Nedic took over and immediately tried to extort that years, already paid by all, site fees under threats of violence. I really wish I'd picked another site!
