I watched your excellent video, liked, and subscribed! You did a wonderful job. Your pace was good, your editing was good, and your topic was very interesting to me! I've lived "off the grid" many times in my life...much of it was way before you were born. I remember what life was like BEFORE we had TV's...and definitely before the internet. I'm almost 70. I still remember having to get up and go turn the knob on the TV to change channels and having to get up and walk over to the phone to answer it. I'm a dinosaur!

Well done Lauren. I watched both of your videos about this 30 day challenge and I think what you did was excellent. We all spend so much time watching "screens" - from iPhones to iPads, TVs to computers and switching off sounds simple enough but it's not. I try to switch off one day per week and that's hard. Thanks for sharing your experience.

This is such a fantastic experiment I'm so glad that I have come across your channel! I've recently really been trying to reduce my screen time and phone usage. I've stopped taking my phone to bed now, I don't use social media except to answer messages and whenever I go on a walk I don't take it with me. From the past week I've done this, I've found that my mental health has really improved and like you said I feel more present. Thank you for sharing this experiment, it's wonderful!

The thing about spending more time with family and not attending to friends all the time was a dilemma I too faced when I started using my smartphone for a single purpose: calling people. The feeling of disconnection is real. But at the same time this is what I choose for myself: to be connected some times but more meaningfully instead of staying connected 24*7 mindlessly :) Great content Lauren. Whenever I need to remind myself of why I am choosing this off grid cellphone life, I come to one of your videos. Thank you :)

CAVEGIRL of course! I just cleaned out my phone so there’s basically nothing on it but messages, phone and a note taking app. I deleted all my social media! Did the same thing last year, time to do it again.

Hello 🙏🏽 I actually belong to a generation that grew up WITHOUT access to the internet. I am almost 49 (gen X). I've been pondering later how I hardly remember how to be a person without resorting to the internet all the time, and I find it worrying and sad. I find inspiration in what you do, also alternatives to the way I've been doing things. Thanks for sharing 💕💕💕
