Ya I just read it was a cough medicine, respiratory aid, & a pulmonary aid, but it wasn't labeled as an expectorant like Grindelia. That's odd.? Broncodilator, yes :) Most helpful! I didn't know it could assist smoking addicts or induce vomiting. My research is slightly surface. Iroquois, & Cherokee medicine. Thank you Karlene. Fantastic job!

Hello! Yes, throughout history, Lobelia was prescribed to reduce fevers and induce vomiting, which was considered cleansing. Poultices made of the root and leaves were applied externally to relieve sprains, bruising and insect bites. Today it is most commonly used as a bronchodilator, making breathing easier for patients with asthma or other pulmonary disorders. If you'd like to learn more, have a look at our article for products, dosage and supplements that pair well with Lobelia: www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/supplements/lobelia/ Have a healthy day!

@@NTLnutrition 😉 Thank you very much Karlene. All of these remedies I will keep even closer to me on account of our communications. It’s not always important to everyone else, but it is to me, & sometimes I forget, or become overwhelmed, & lose sight with the magnitude of my studies. So I appreciate you taking the time out to acknowledge me 😁. You’re very smart & wise. Hope you have a healthy blessed day too 💛👼🏻
