Great video! Short and to the point. Why watch a 15 to 30 min video that has u buying several parts when I can watch this great 4 min video and just need one item to repair.

Oh man, the first time the camera person leaned over the plate with the epoxy I actually reached up and grabbed my beard so it wouldn't get in the epoxy lol it only took a fraction of a second to realize I was being a derp, but man, my heart jumped. I don't think I've ever had a home repair video make me that anxious before hahaha But anyways... great video, short, to the point, and very helpful

Make sure the crack is stabilized- I would also consider carefully enlarging the the crack to give the epoxy something to grab onto.

Did it match the exact color of your tub? Can you notice the spot easily?

At first it was a pretty close bright white-then the minerals in the water turned it a little yellow-as there is a slight bit of iron is present. . here is a 1 year later video-ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tDlQXR3z2As.html /hope this helps

How about some cracks in a fiberglass tub? Will this work?

Is it in a wet location? Is it leaking? If so I would say no. This is a fill product and from what I have seen the product is too brittle to repair a crack that has movement in it. But for $5, I would give it a shot. It is self leveling-meaning it is liquidy and will fill an area and flatten out on it's own.

Why do you put crack in your tittle and then specify that is just a chip? Different kind of damage that requires different solutions

@@4skully It is a very cheap product, give it a try. I was impressed with the loctite-I have used it on many projects as you most certainly will have a bunch left over. Thank you for your comment

It self levels-so it is fairly thin. I have used on a vertical surface, you have to baby sit it until it sets up-I think it is a half hour or so. You have to keep pushing the product back into the repair or it will sag. .

Your light touch seemed to work pretty well but you should definitely have shown the finished results. Lighting from the side of the surface would have revealed (exaggerated) the result but at least been helpful. Regardless, the tube looks better than before.

The epoxy is very viscous, and seems to "self level" to a point. I may do a video of results next week as a few are interested. If you have a tub that has chips, use this stuff. It is $5, made in USA, easy to use and works great. I have also used it to reattach the bottom of a poorly made handle mount on a Whirlpool microwave. I had to let the epoxy sit and "firm up" for 15 minutes then applied it to the handle. I was out of clear epoxy. Worked great.

I don't know if food grade coloring will work. . I would go to Lowes and ask for a little green die they use for paint. That maybe be a little more compatible with the epoxy. . And of course mix a little and test. It may work, never tried it.

its not white, i have acrylic white bathtub and this stands out you need , specialty epoxy made for bathtubs to get a briliant white

That depends-if it cracked because there is flex in the tub then no-have to fix the flexing in the tub or the epoxy will crack.

l'm sure you could, I would wet/dry sand it to avoid the dust. Keep in mind this epoxy is self leveling-and thin after you mix it.

@@LFL-qp1fg Depends on what you are doing. Is this bath tub chip repair? Of course you want to start rough (500) then go to 1000 then 2000 and if you are a crazy perfectionist (in good company) 3000 then buff with Meguiar's.

@@mustafa72100 If the crack flexes yes this product will not work. I was filling in a chip and there is no movement or flexing of the bath tub. The product needs a stable base or as you have found it will crack on either side of the repair.

@@mustafa72100 I can't think of a product that will adhere to a crack that is flexible. If you find one, let me know. Maybe some high quality white silicone caulk. I bet it will look terrible though.
