It’s not the fact he would have been fine, it’s the fact they would have botched a move in a match. Even though it was Logan’s fault, it would look worse on ray for missing. So mistake by Logan but a good save by him too.
@@buzzycreations8406it's not his fault he has to wrestle relatively green wrestlers now...I guarantee Rey vs AJ or Rey vs Seth Rollins would still be a crazy match, even Rey vs CM Punk would probably still be decent...
@@joe.limbus it’s not that they wouldn’t be good matches it’s just that Rey’s atheism is declining a bit with his highflying style. Even in a recent match with Damian he messed up a move on the top rope and the set up to the 619. I’m Still a fan but you hate to see greatness decline
I don't know why anyone would think Rey was in any kind of trouble there. He was facing the mat, and he has been taking bumps since the late '90s. He couldn't have been in a better position to land on.
To be fair, the incident with Owen Hart had been rehearsed before hand multiple times and he died with one complicaton. Mick Foley used to do this thing where he would purposely get his neck caught between the ropes. One time he did it and the ropes were tighter than usual. He ended up ripping his ear off. On something that he had practiced over and over again.
@@krisbrown4761Well, Owen Hart was more than 70 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. This is a VERY outrageous and unfair conparison, at least the Mick Foley example works.
At any rate, the implication that Rey was ever in any trouble there is false. Logan certainly made it worse than it needed to be, but shit happens when you're learning on the job. There's a reason they had him working with who he worked with though.
Yes because wrestling is about working together to make every moves worth taking and not blaming each other for not contribute to the safety of the match
people act like Rey and other springboard-regulars don't know how to take the energy out of a fall. Rey Mysterio is NOT Flop Dolla, get it right please.
people made such a big deal out of it like logan saved rey from cancer or something when even looking that spot live i knew logan fucked up his timing to catch rey
Funny how this is the narrative. Imagine if he didn't and Rey ended a vegetable. Everyone would have wished for Logan to catch him then and no Rey didn't jump far enough. Check his previous tapes.
@@melroynRey literally said in the interview that he told Logan before the match that he jump more out than out and that he needed ti step in! Logan was too far and had to correct. Rey would’ve been fine! Idk why tf you’re acting like he was about to land vertically with his head hitting the mat
To be fair, Logan himself even admitted he was in the wrong place. Sure he played up the whole thing a bit, but look at the character he plays. Of course he's going to do that and it fits the type of douchebag he is. I think he's actually smart when it comes to playing the crowd.
Although Logan was the one who was far away, he did still catch Rey, I feel like it was more of Logan saving himself from the spot being messed up so that’s why he didn’t wanna take the glory when it happened.
Right... Even though Rey just said he doesnt always spring far enough youre still going to shit on Logan Paul. So tired of the bs hate on the Pauls. Y'all are so cringe with the jealousy
Rey is one of if not the most under appreciated wrestler. For this man to be moving the way he is at almost 50 is incredible. And still going. He’s the goat in my eyes
Under appreciated ? He’s literally one of the most famous and known wrestlers ever. People who don’t even watch wrestling like myself know how great he is. It’s ok to compliment someone without being insanely over dramatic
Like Rey said, he would have landed on his belly. What made it dangerous was how Logan moved up towards him. If he didn't catch him, Rey would have collided mid flip and likely land on his head.
with a busted voice? every wrestler ends up with the same, tired voice. it has no versatility. it's mostly dead. i think what you MEANT to say was "Rey's real voice would be cool for some sort of animated character." i wonder how you even came up with that thought "very successful voice actor"....like how would you know? you're literally nobody in the voice acting scene. and you literally know nothing about voice acting, and the entire scene. derpy people say derpy things....just keep it to yourself next time.
To play devils advocate; How about the fact that the instant he realised he was out of position he rushed forward and caught Rey, just in case he got hurt, regardless of if he would have or not. His first instinct was to help Rey.
When we talk about the greatest in ring performers ever, always pop up names of Bret Hart, HBK, Eddie , Benoit, Kurt, but i think Rey should be' in this conversation too. The way he moves, and the unreal longevity he has, i mean he wrestled more than Undertaker, more than Randy Orton, and with a very difficult style. And yet here he is, in his 50s, moving like he is 20 years Younger. Rey Mysterio might be indeed the greatest in ring performer of all time
I’ll say this I don’t think for one second the Logan deserves nor does he need a title reign but I won’t deny that he actually shows promise in the ring and if enough work is put in he could add a lot more value to the product
Rey's hands were down towards mats so technically he didn't need saved he could've easily used a hand summersault or flip been fine however Logan Paul did have good instincts to do what he did
Seeing these decks running disaster makes me want to run him again bc hes so good for going second but my luck with pulling bricks is already so bad already lol
Now why he wouldn't have landed on the tip top of his head. He would have had a Brock Lesnar WrestleMania XIX level landing, which had a scare that both Brick and Angle would be out with neck injuries. As the video is paused on my TV while I'm writing on my phone I can see the moment on my screen has Logan still in motion as he is wrapping his arm around him. And raise head is clearly lower than the bottom rope with his feet still probably anywhere from 80 -85° angle at the time and his grip isn't locked in. Also I can only see his right arm down by the mat. With not shadow or indication that his left was stretched out to reach. Also his head want bent back to lock and the mat floor but locking straight ahead at Logan's shine at the time so his head isn't tucked like Lesner's was which is what prevented the neck injury at WM XIX.
1. Yes, it looks like Rey would have landed on his stomach not his head. 2. Logan did make a great safe, because he hasn't years of experience. He saw the situation and decided just to be safe. 3. He worked through the spot and continued the show. Outside of WWE I have no connection to Logan Paul, but that man deserves to be in WWE.
Rey is still one of the best wrestlers in the world rn and he’s in his 50s like dude works better than 80 percent of the wrestlers and u gotta give it to Paul that he’s able to work with a great veteran like Rey
I saw concern in Logan’s eyes when he rushed to catch him. So he didn’t save him, but he thought he needed to save him and he gave everything to do it.
I love how Rey Mysterio and WWE always have him wear his mask whether it's in a match or in an interview like we didn't see his face without a mask in WCW. I've always thought it was really dumb
