Film description: In a future where mutants are nearly extinct, Logan, the invincible bestial superhero once known as the Wolverine, finds himself getting old, and his incredible healing ability significantly weakened. As an incognito limo driver, Logan does his best to guard and keep out of sight a weary nonagenarian Professor Charles Xavier. However, things will take an unexpected turn when a cryptic woman asks him to transport the young mutant girl, Laura. A better future lies past the Canadian borders for the unaccompanied teenager, but the government is unwilling to let go of its asset so easily. @@PerfectlyPoachedEgg He's never been a normal guy when it comes to strength in any iteration. It just seems like that because he's surrounded by people like Beast, Juggernaut, Colossus, etc. Not only that, but humans a lot more capacity for strength, we just lack the healing factor. Imagine being able to throw a full force punch, wreck the entire right side of your upper body, and have it heal back almost instantly stronger than it was before. Any time you work out, you can just work out some more, because your muscles heal super fast. A typical 2 to 3 hour workout gives you results most people would take days to achieve.

His healing factor was far slower, his intelligence was not very high and his adamantium skeleton wasn't as durable as Logan's, probably because they used less adamantium. Would make sense considering how X-24 was pretty agile, but was also killed by an adamantium bullet while Logan survived one. The only part where he seems to be superior to the young Logan is strength, him lifting that truck or effortlessly throwing Logan with one arm seems to be more than Logan did in any movie.

3:29 to 3:36 This shows that X24 cannot heal as well as Logan could at his peak. Logan healed perfectly and lost only his memories when he took two Adamantium bullets to the head in X-men Origins Wolverine. X24 needed the serum to heal from just being impaled and shot in the face with a shotgun. So on a scale of 1 to 10, (1 being a normal human and 10 being Logan at his peak), I give X24’s healing power about a 6, around Sabertooth’s level. Deadpool gets like 15 on that scale, because he can regrow EVERYTHING.

People usually ignoring the fact he was stabbed by the claws of Logan and Laura and they are made of admanatium so if a bullet of admanatium can kill or hurt then why not the claws? But yea ngl his healing factor was not even half as compared to prime Logan

Laura was kickin ass. Did you see those backstabs at 1:18 and that drop kick at 1:15? The disappointing aspect of Wolverine in each X-Men movie is that he was never portrayed as "the better fighter"; instead, it was just a series of wild swings. The way Laura fought in the first half of the movie is how Wolverine should have been in all of the X-Men movies.

It had to be Laura, Logan's daughter, who killed X-24, didn't it? Using an adamantium bullet Logan had reserved for himself rather than slowly die? A very sad way of Logan making peace with his past and passing the torch to his daughter. The man he was was literally killed, the battered old man and father he'd become got to say goodbye to his daughter, his heart, at the very end of his life. A sequel and a finale done right. Also, the way Pierce died was very satisfying.

@@pro10s21 logan knew if he shot himself with adamantium bullet he won't heal as because his healing ability is slower than before.. nd in case of X-24, he didn't have adamantium skeleton like Wolverine, so the bullet literally killed him

If your complaint is that X24 should have healed from it, then forget that Origins exists and consider the following: what if the healing factor, like every other cell, function, and molecule in the human body, is controlled by the brain? Regardless of how adamantium-heavy his skeleton is, if it pierces his skull and does enough damage to the right part(s), the brain won't be able to tell itself to heal itself or anything else. The bullet was also powerful enough to blow at least a sixth of his head off. So he's dead. Of course, maybe you think they could've killed him another way? I mean, X23 could have John Wicked him, but other than that, he was not dying. He clawed his way out of a tank. What more do you want?

@@alexz4752 logan was burned, with no more tissue on his body. to kill him with that bullet - i repeat myself - is lame writing. yes there are writers in the multiverses who kill logan. hell even deadpool decapitated him. and in ultimate hulk ripped him apart. still all those are not canon and not the 616. those movies are good, but the portrait of wolverine, of mutants and their powers is lame. i grew up with comicbooks and to see my childhood chars written that bad is just hurting. and i dont have a problem with killing wolverine, i have a problem with tha adamantium bullet crap. there are several ways to deal with wolverine, even in his prime.

I know the filmakers were going for a story and an arc for Logan, but looking back, seeing all of the super powered children here, all of them together had enough ability to be able to kill X-24 if they worked together. It was just demonstrated a few minutes earlier. Although Logan still may have died anyway as I believe that what was left of his healing factor was totally extinguished after he used all of the serum...

They were too inexperienced and just kids. Also they probably wouldn't be able to kill him. They killed other humans, they haven't fought or killed anything like x-24 before. He would have torn them apart one by one and Logan just couldn't risk that

I don't think collectively they were capable. At some point they'd be exhausted and he still wouldn't be dead because of his insane healing factor. Fighting X24 without an adamantium bullet or a way to control him is like fighting a bear with your bare hands. You can fight all you like but you'll just die tired.

@Nobody 482 That's perfect. We can see her as an adult/teen trying to rebuild a mutant sanctuary like Xaviers school. Might divert from comics but I'd love that. She does such a good job, she can only improve. Plus will be able to keep the brutality and also allows for a strong female lead in a new potential continuation of the story but with new characters.

I have no idea if it was intentional but I like to think that X-24's hair-cut and sideburns are in reference to Victor/Sabertooth's appearance in Origins. In that movie, he was supposed to show what Logan could have become so that also being alluded to with this literal version of what he could have been would be a nice touch.

At the moment the truck falls on X24 Logan knew it wasn't enough, but he also desperately asked them to run. Laura wanted to stay to help, but Adamantium cuts Adamantium. Any slip, X24 could seriously injure Laura, despite Laura's high regeneration, it doesn't compare to Logan's and she would feel physical pain beyond normal.

I never watched this movie in full but one thing no one seems to mention in this scene that I greatly appreciate is how Laura holds the gun at the end: with two hands with the exact inelegant posture that a child who never learned how to handle firearms would have. Any low quality hyped up action movie would have her hold it in an aesthetically pleasing pose, maybe with one hand, with a confident posture like any generic badass soldier/criminal character, but since this is an actually good and well written movie she doesn't. This is obviously the bare minimum for any decent film but given the average quality of superhero movies these days I'll still gladly take the time to appreciate this little detail

You know...Something I realized. X-24 can't be dead, if he truly is like Wolverine in his prime. Then that is not going to kill him. It'll slow him down, yes. But kill him? No.

24 can't regenerate because he has a fully coated adamantium skeleton unlike Laura who only had the claws. The adamantium bullet blew part of his adamantium skull off, and because the skull is still coated with metal, The natural bone underneath is unable to regenerate and close his head wound because the metal is blocking it. Also the bullet took out a good portion of his brain.

@@AdiPad- I...Don't think that's how it works. Wolverine lost his adamantium claws before, but he managed to grow back the bone claws. However, I do think your right. He needed a serum to help him fully heal, so maybe he is dead after all.

@@PsychoSpartan687 I think in the wolverine, the bone claws grew back behind the stubs of the old metal claws and pushed them out rather than grow out of the old ones. In the shot where the claws are regenerated there is no sign of the old metal stubs. But yeah 24 needed the serum anyway

24 doesn’t have the same healing power as Logan, that was the one thing they couldn’t fully replicate, he can tank more damage than the average person or mutant but not to the extremes that Logan himself could have.

Man when i saw this in theaters it was the ONLY time ever i had to physically restrain myself from standing up it was so awesome. Logan fighting what was sure to be an unwinnable fight had it not been for Laura and the children of the corn with mutant powers. It made the scene more intense i think because personally, this scene could have easily been messed up if Logan "GAINED THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP" and won all on his own. We are shown here that hes a burned out husk of his former self and he only gathered all his might and will to fight ONE MORE TIME. Logan fights better when he has a person or cause and i think it shows here in this scene.

This just makes me wonder what happened to X24’s skeleton in Deadpool 3. Maybe he actually regenerated? I mean he was young and healthy so based off of origins, Wolverine can survive a headshot via adamantium bullet but just loses his memory so there is a possibility that X24 is alive and well in Deadpool’s universe thinking he’s Logan since he doesn’t remember anything at all?
