Simagic is really good, Fanatec is good but dogshit customer support and will take over a month for your stuff to get delivered. Moza, Cammus, VRS so many DD wheels.
It bothers me more than it should that you 10&2 the wheel when on track 😅 9&3 when on track is what I was taught for circuit racing, and was looked for when I did my racing driver test.
Ha ha! I've got the same setup as you. Logi G Pro and the NLR GT Elite, with ES1 seat. I'm REALLY impressed with the NLR, especially the ES1 bucket seat. Super comfy. I had the G Pro for some time before I got the rig, and boy, what a sensational thing it is. As a matter of interest I owned a Fanatec DD Pro before the Logi, and it's now on my 2nd rig (different location). I thought it was a great little wheel (great pedals, with the loadcell brake), but the G Pro is just so much better. Trueforce is indeed a big difference, but build quality and FFB sensitivity is that much better, too.
Nah, I just replaced my Logitech G PRO with Moza R9. Yes, it's just a little less powerful but boy is it better in rally. I went with the RS V2 rim and the size and shape is much better for basically anything. Second, there aren't any accessories for Logi and I finally wanted to try a gt wheel.
Bro, you don't have to let people down just because you have an opinion. Like at least speak from experience, and even then, you shouldn't let other people down 🙂
That composite(plastic) QR on the the Thrustmaster is a no go from the start. The fact that you then have to lock it with a Phillips set screw is a joke, how is that even a "Quick" release? DD wheels should all have metal QR. Logitech wins.
I have had the same complaint about the plastic QR1 on the Fanatec DD Pro, which is comparable to these two. It creaks under load, and is bound to break eventually. I have one, and also (now) the G Pro.
We made our decision on the G Pro due to many items like this. Also from many RU-vid reviews from guys who own over 10 wheels from different companies and say the G Pro is their favorite.
a stupid kiddy light strip and screen ill never look at while racing. also had no issue fastening t818 to my omega wheel stand. never used screw once i have 2 rims. the cover is plastic rest is metal. I have zero flex. Tru force is a gimmick idiots fall for. My last 2 wheels were Logitech plasticky garbage and garbage pedals as well. Nothing about the t818 feels plastic or 2nd rate. Also i dont have to deal with there craptastic spy wear app that is utter trash. Nothing wrong with quick release, only clods that cant fasten thing correct would have an issue, mounting the wheel had nothing to do with performance of the wheel. Fact is 30 seconds into this video it was obvious you would choose the Logitech junk. I had to buy better pedals yes, but what sim racer of any experience would want to continue to use crappy g29 or 920 pedals, they are great for someone brand new to sim racing but junk compared to better pedals out there. Most important thing is quality braking. T818 even with its yoman software is still better product in every way. Not to mention the tons of rims you can buy off ebay and mix and match.
the pro is a really good base with peak ffb above the 11nm its can sustain.. the only issue is the lack of rims.. the base its self is comparable to the alpha mini etc
