Man I love the subtle shifts in his expression. He already knew Jonathan got hit, and he had at least heard about the truck getting stolen. But it's pretty obvious at least to me that he assumed "Hey. It was probably just him having problems with other kids. That's a problem but not too horrific." But that 'he's the one who hit you' got me deep. Cause you can see in that moment his whole attitude towards the problem changes. Teenagers messing with other teenagers is one thing. But for a grown ass man to dare punch his son in the face on top of steal his truck? Oh no. There's no words to be had after that. That's straight action. Then to also hear that he pulled a gun on Lois? Nah. Before he might've just punched him and left it that that. But now all bets are off. He wasn't superman in that moment. He was all Clark. And clark was pissed.
Considering the life threatening situations that Lois has been through including her current battle with cancer, of course Lois is not afraid of Emmitt, even if he is armed with a gun.
When Lois doesnt backdown and doesnt flinch is perfection. She has a god level husband and super strong son and a dad who has clearance to kill anyone and she is still the most formidable person in that family.
No, she isn't. She also isn't that bright. What did she think confronting him would accomplish? It was stupid and dangerous, and naturally it happened _right after_ she lectured her kids for doing something stupid and dangerous!

You could see the anger spread through his expressions he ready when he learn ole dude hit his son but once he learn about him pulling the gun on his wife it was over immediately. Superman was never going to make an appearance that was straight Clark right there. He threatened Clark family & Clark will handle it because Superman can't really expression that hurt over three people he try to not be known around.
You think an unarmed and untrained woman can handle someone with experience in fighting who is armed? That's a delusion, but I appreciate your optimism.

The way people are lauding her for going out of her way to pointlessly challenge an asshole with a temper is disturbing. Lois worrying about Jon I get. But Jordan and Nat (in her armor) could have *leveled* that chop shop and killed everyone inside without breaking a sweat. For that matter, if Clark hadn't gone off to deal with Emmitt, Jordan could have always arranged for a chance "tornado" to hit that exact trailer that night.

Is it me or did the universe decide to pour all the bad luck into that one guy? Of all the families that he could have crossed paths with, he stole from, physically assaulted, and threatened with a gun, Superman's loved ones.
If Jordan and Jonathan weren’t there Lois would have done so much more. She’s handled so much worse in metropolis. That guy only wished he could be as tough as he claimed. The next scene was one of the best scenes in Superman media.

The one thing I hated in this sequence was that Lois scolded the boys for stealing the truck back, first off, they overcame bigger problems than that, they literally risked their lives many times over to save their dad and mom. second of all, Lois literally confronted a guy with a gun, and he could’ve seriously hurt her. 😒😒🙄🙄 God forgive me, but I think Lois is a massive hypocrite at times, or something along those lines.
It's because she's a mother who worries for her kids, jonathan could've gotten into more danger because he's powerless if jordan was with him then she would worry that he could make a wrong move and possibly endangered another person because he's not experienced with his powers like his dad does (I haven't seen the show btw.)

I hate to say it but lois having cancer all of a sudden could be related to the fact that Clark dipped in the sun. He has to be giving off radiation. Hell he absorbs solar radiation, no human being realistically should be able to be around him without getting radiation poisoning.
