Like part 1, Earthworm Jim 2 has a lot of weird and crazy stuff to offer. At one point you are a blind cave salamander flying through a level that looks like intestines… and then there is a gameshow and pinball bumpers. And later an evil pepper shaker trying to kill you right before you fight the Pizza Boss. See?
The 1st game though. Traveling through an asteroid belt whilst racing a bird through it Fighting an evil cat and sending his 9 lives from hell to the mortal world (inflated head) Then causing a queen termite infused with a slug to bloat up and explode like a fetish artist's dream in a hilariously named Buttville is just *_WHY?_*
j'ai eu un flash aujourd'hui en repensant a ce jeu, je devais avoir 6 ou 7 ans... Je m'en souviens encore après 30 ans!! Ca renvoi vraiment à l'époque simple et douce de l'enfance
I never played this second game and can comfortably say the WHOLE GAME was an acid trip, lol. Good lord, the second one is a whole 'nother level of it.
The second game was probably one of my favorite games back in that era. The mix of weird quirky levels and funky music and goody humor was right up my alley even though my little kid brain could not execute beating for the longest time. The addition of multiple types of guns were great.
This game is the definition of random and insanity. Why on earth would there be a chair lift, complete with falling grandmas, in the middle of wherever that is?
I remember now. This was the game I remember playing when I was a kid. I didn’t understand how to properly progress in the first stage when I was 4 and died a lot.
Remembered just from hearing the piano tune that I got this game from my mom in a store that doesn't exist anymore she died 3 months ago and it just brought up a whole wave of memories from my childhood it's insane.
Remember playing this when I was like 7 or something. I could never pass any level lol. Watching this game it actually looks really good to for it’s time
Some games are too damn hard to be any fun, Earthworm jim 2 is one such game, dont get me wrong its unique, beautiful graphics, and high production value, but i remember way back in 1996 i asked my dad to rent megaman x 3, and i ended up with this (our blockbuster usually dindt have what i wanted) and i couldnt get through the salamander stage, i was like "dammit, if i had mmx 3 i wouldve at least seen the first sigma stage".
Maybe EJ2 is a little too hard for most players, so EJ and Ecco, all of those games i enjoyed a lot when i grow up and understand them but as a kid i didn´t like them much.
I remember playing this as a kid - I'm surprised by how polished it was for it's time. Looks pretty dn tough compared to modern games too - not quite sure how I finished it!
And yet it used the infamous GEMS sound engine. The difference here is that they actually put effort into making the music good instead of just dumping MIDI tracks into the default patch sets.
Si, es la que tuvimos en la familia, los 2 Jim la llevaron a sus límites en todo sentido y demostraron que fue muy buena consola, casi a la altura de la Super Nintendo (no la tuve pero hay que aceptar las cosas como son, fue mejor).
When you have the marshmallow you can turn dive with it and turn it left and right. That’s how you can win 100% no puppy deaths. Not sure if your aware of the turn left and right part.
Sicuramente questo gioco offre una genialità di mondi fuori dal normale. Anche se trovo il primo superiore sia come livelli, che come giocabilità Ma come spesso avviene non e facile potersi ripetere.
Earthworm Jim 2 is such a good game, up until the puppy levels, from there the game goes downhill with a few levels being worth going for, but who thought it was a good idea to have multiple puppy levels?! They are so life consuming
This takes me bad SO DAMN HARD. I never played part 1 but this game? Hours and hours spent playing. It was such a horrible game. And by horrible, i mean weird, oblong, without premise and absolutely perfect. I would buy a Sega console just to play this game and show my kids a piece of my youth 😢
