Looking Back | The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers - Strategy Battle Game Review

Previously on the channel, I've looked back at the first Rulebook for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game (The Lord Of The Rings Strategy Battle Game as it was called then!). Now, we're moving on from The Fellowship Of The Ring to have a look through the book for The Two Towers.
With a host of new characters, some tweaks to the rules and some really fun scenarios to play through, The Two Towers was an excellent step up and provided me with miniatures to play games for my favourite of the three movies!
I have a flick through the book and talk about my experiences with the game from that time and where the Middle-earth hobby started to move towards taking a backseat in my tabletop life!

Another great video dude! Really enjoyed this one, we're working on the Two Towers 20th anniversary special for Issue 13 of SBG so this is very much on my radar at moment! I completely agree with you, as do so many, about the horror off painting horses, although I found a relatively quick technique for doing them on some Minas Tirith Knights recently which wasn't too laborious and gave some good results - I've got another 5 on the table next so fingers crossed I can repeat the process on those! I also agree about that Legolas model, he's my favourite character in the game and that's my favourite sculpt of him - he was one of the first 20 Middle-earth models I ever painted and I'm actually looking forward to painting a brand new version of him next month! Thanks for taking the time to do these, I'm really enjoying them and looking forward to the Return of the King one next! Damian

Thanks for watching and taking the comment as always :) Similarly, I think I've found a method for doing horses as well recently with the aid of contrast which seems to help out a lot. Weirdly now it's the riders that I fear haha. Hope you enjoy watching through the Return Of The King one as well!
