Hello friend, welcome to the penultimate chapter. And it gets better! The first thing we see is Evileye asking Ainz for help, whom she recognizes because she heard about "the hero in the dark armor". In certain versions of the Gnostic religion, the Demiurge is an entity in charge of creating the "material" aspect of the universe and Jaldabaoth is an evil creature that identifies as part of the Demiurge. Simply put, they are sort of synonymous. This is important because in Dungeons & Dragons, which Overlord is based on, demons have the characteristic that they can't lie about their name or they automatically disappear. By using the name Jaldabaoth, the demon Demiurge can hide his identity without actually "lying" about his name. The fight between Ainz and Demiurge is a sham, but we definitely see that Ainz is fighting much better than he originally did. This is because he has placed the "Perfect Warrior" spell on himself before putting on the armor. This causes his mana to be consumed constantly, but since he has a lot of mana, he can last quite a while without having to unbind the spell. Normally Evileye would have noticed that Ainz's behavior is strange and suspicious, but luckily, she falls in love almost the moment she meets him and thus romanticizes many of the things that happen. She used to laugh at women who fell in love or believed in gallant gentlemen, but now she is trying to remember those conversations to know how to "win" Momon. However, in her romantic ramblings, she reveals a few things to us: She's over 200 years old, and her heart doesn't beat. Most likely, Evileye is some kind of Undead. Ainz arrived in the capital just a few hours before Princess Renner's operation against the 8 Fingers was to be executed and the Marquis Reven learned of his arrival and immediately hired him, but he did not arrive in time to participate in the briefing. Ainz acts as if he understands the Demiurge's plan, but the truth is that he has no idea what is happening. That's why he asks Narberal Gamma to ask him the details, however, Demiurge begs Ainz to tell him the information in person later. In the fight against the 6 Brazos, we see that Succulent, the demon of illusions, has been released from jail and is replacing Tsuare. This indicates how deep the corruption is in the Kingdom, since one of the most fearsome murderers has been released from jail in less than 24 hours. Ainz doesn't realize that Evileye has a crush on him and misunderstands many things. Evileye is scared that Momon will fall in love with Lakyus, who is famous for her beauty, but Ainz believes that Evileye is suspicious of him. Also, he hasn't realized that she is older than she seems and assumes that Evileye is a little girl. Gehenna Flames is a spell that creates an illusion in the form of a wall of flames. Ainz claimed that it has effects that allow demons within the fire to benefit from enhanced attributes. This includes demons' negative karma spells will do more damage, item drop rates will increase, and many other effects. In the novel there is a very curious scene in which the adventurers ask if the royal army will help in the fight against the demons, but Gazef confirms that this will not happen because the nobles have ordered that the protection of their properties be prioritized selfish. Instead Princess Renner is using her own money to pay the adventurers for the good of the village and everyone praises her for it. But in reality, it should be suspicious, because the reaction of nobles is natural to a sudden and surprising phenomenon, which they do not fully understand. Why has Renner been able to create a strategy so quickly? Even if she is a genius, she seems to be too effective. We see that Gazef Stronoff gives Climb the ring he received from the old Rigritt, one of the 13 heroes we saw in the first chapter. This ring was created from Wild Magic, possibly through the power of Platinum Dragon Lord and has the power to help temporarily increase a warrior's stats. Finally, we see that Renner's true plan is to use the adventurers to weaken the demons while Momon breaks through, but the third line of city guards that in theory serve as "support" are actually bait for the demons to entertain themselves by killing them instead of spreading through the city.

They didnt include in the anime but when Zero says that his fight with Brain is on hold for now and that he will teach the "geezer" a lesson, Brain replies as just try not to die too fast

If evileye said a slightly different things about her defeating entoma like "For sure she's already dead", her head would've been rolling

If Evileye had killed Entoma it would be a toss up as to whether Ains could kill Evileye before Naberal Gamma would have avenged Entoma.

Remember Evileye's comment to Climb a few episodes ago about not losing his humanity in search of power? Now think about that and the fact that she says her heart stopped beating long ago.

Wheels within wheels, so many plans clicking into place, and then there is Ainz, stumbling through the plot. 🤣

Ainz have passive skill which attract weaker undead. Which affect Evileye cos she is a vampire. Evileye interpret this attraction as love for Momon.

From Climb's point of view, he is already indebted to the princess with his life. BTW you doen's seem to see it, but there was a moment where Evil Eye said that her heart got alive after hundreds of years, thats another of pointers that should show you, that she is not human.

Evileyes mention of her heart stopping is because she's actually a Vampire (I suspect she feels so drawn to Ainz as a result of his Overlord nature effects on undead). Zero is actually quite powerful being in the top 5 physical fighters in the kingdom (Brain, Gagaran, and Gazef are ahead of him power wise), but that caps at like level 30-40ish... Sebas is level 100. He literally CANNOT be harmed by them so he seems fake but he's really not. The thief actually prepared to counter ANY of the six fingers he encountered, will o wisp and powders to counter illusions, etc. he just didn't need his other bits since Sebas killed them already before.

Tier 5 resurection has exp penalties resulting in "lvls" lost, if you go to lvl 0 you get reduced to ash, higher tier resurrection spell solves that issue, problem is, those are the "spells of the gods" and ainz doesn't really want that kind of attention
