Real talk though, my headcanon is that Trigger is Pixy's protege. After many attempts, he managed to coax the Belkan War Veteran to teach him 'simply to fly, not kill'. This was how Trigger got chosen for an International Squadron. For all his skill, he was promised by Pixy not to use the veteran's skills unless no option remained. A promise he had to break in his last fight with Mihaly, completely with the famous 'invincible' quote from Pixy. This doesn't mean there's no struggle in his forst fight with Mihaly though. Each fight I like to think canonically builds Trigger up for the final showdown with the King.
@TheNapster153 it's nice headcannon but makes no sense when you look at how many kills of random NPC's during the campaign. He's in the hundreds easily for manned aircraft and maybe the thousands if the various AA guns, tanks, and SAM sites are manned
Did the same thing. I thought there is no aircraft to kill so I used the A10. Then the drones arrived. And then Mihaly. Words cant describe the pride I felt when I managed to hit Mihaly
It's something I actually dislike in AC7 compare to Project Wingman. In AC7, the bosses are on "rails", repeating a pattern. While it's justified in the ADFX-10 fight, it is much less so for the final boss and Mister.X. Meanwhile on PW, the bosses are actually extremely agressive fighters but who do NOT get "free manoeuvers" options the way they do in AC7. They can use there active manoeuver... The exact same way you can replicate it yourself in PW.
None of the bosses in PW gave me any trouble except the final boss with his magic “halve your framerate and fill half the sky with DoT area” missiles. Might just be the ability to keep eyes on a target in VR, but any single target was dead simple
@Barrett Jordan That’s said like Mihaly is any better? The old geezer has not ONCE shot me down in the hundreds of hours and different jets I’ve taken on all difficulty levels into those sorties. Crimson 1 would rock Mihalys world any day, rookie
actually no. in a cutscene at the end of the final DLC mission, there's a list of every plane he had flown from mission 1 to mission 13. it was a different plane every mission: 1. F-16C 2. Mig-29 3. F-14D 4. F/A-18F 5. F-15C 6. Mirage 2000 7 (this mission). Gripen E 8. MiG-21 9. F-15C 10. Su-30SM 11. F-15C 12. A-10C 13. Su-37 obviously the guy who made this still didn't use the canonical plane, but it wasn't the F-15. There's no evidence that would suggest he gets an F-15 for all of spare, since the one in that cutscene belonged to one of the LRSSG pilots
Trigger on a secure channel to Mihlay than only the two of them can hear: "I will peel the skin off your body and thecorate my plane with it" Mihlay soon fucked off at Mach10
not sure if this is truly lore accurate, because I read a post on reddit proposing a set of 'lore accurate' planes for Trigger. They were as follows: Mage - F-16 Spare - F-104 Strider up to mission 18 - F-15C Strider missions 19-20 - F-22 I did a runthrough of the game with those planes. It was a challenge for sure, especially with the F-104, but it was interesting. Spare is a squadron that runs lower tier planes due to their limited access to airframes and only having Avril as the mechanic. Count seems to be the only exception due to his use of an Su-33 Flanker which is a decent aircraft. They for sure don't run anything with thrust vectoring tech though.
Ive been going through different videos on the internet, but the one thing i havent seen aside from tiggers lore, is the planes he uses throughout the campaign. I know for a fact the the top row of planes is what you unlock first. And i also do know through out the first 4 missions, tigger uses the F-16 then while becoming apart of 444, he uses the F-15C given tgat you become the squad leader of strider squadron which uses the the same plane. But what gets me most is that still, count still uses his SU-33 while also being in cyclops 2 which is also an F-15 squadron. But what im most curious about given in the games case cover art, trigger uses the F-22. I havent gone through your videos, but if you can do lore accurate trigger, it would be cool to figure out what actual planes he used during the story. In the raid of anchor bay, the, the story shows the same plane tigger uses from 444, and when you get the queens custom part, the cut scene shows the YF-23. Or at least i think it does after mission 7. So im not entirely sure how it all adds up but i would be nice to know. Because i as well am planning on doing this sort of video but im not entirely sure trigger whole lore with the planes.
in my no-damage run, with the su-35s I just went full throttle and manage to double hit him with the LAAM... i think that was my 2nd fastest dogfight in the game
@@trigger7814 understandable its not really criticism sorry if it sounded like it i was half asleep at the time i posted this message and forgot to add "good video though"
few questions, how do you get the camera to follow your target and how do you turn the aircraft without going left or right if you know what i mean btw im a pc player
I accidentally finished this fight in less than 3 minutes with a Tomcat because Mihaly decided to fly in a straight line and I had a full payload of special missiles.
That's Mihaly's trick, remember what he said: ** What most of us fail to realize is that this also means *his body is an aircraft.* It's also made 100% out of non-critical areas. Blow up his cockpit? ** He'll just start flying like Superman, completely unscathed. Blow off his legs? ** He doesn't walk, why would he need those? Torso? Believe it or not, ** He'll continue on, a floating head shooting EMLs from his mouth. His final form is a cloud of fine dust particles, completely invisible to radar and immune from further harm, sandblasting your aircraft with tiny, tiny particles such that you don't even notice it until months later, when you think the war is over. Well, it isn't over, not for one Mihaly Dumitru Margareta Corneliu Leopold Blanca Karol Aeon Ignatius Raphael Maria Niketas A. Shilage. You come back to your hangar, only to find a rusted, eroded and decayed hulk where your precious F-22A was. Then, when he's done, he'll follow you home, tormenting you and your family for generations like a curse. We're talking about a constant itchiness, like there's invisible sand on everything your skin touches. Random dust in your eyes at inopportune moments. And then, the worst part... Your skin and nails will *always* look amazing from the constant exfoliation, and everyone's always going to ask you what kind of skincare routine you've got going on, and *you'll never be able to give a single answer because the truth is, you don't even have a routine.* Mihaly does it all for you, just to prove once and forever that he will *always* be on top of you. That he is, and forever will be, your Daddy.
An Su-35? Looks too luxurious for penal battalion. Even by today standard that thing is not your Average Joe Flanker, it's a cutting edge top end of a 4th gen warplane, it was called 4.5th gen fighter for a reason. TBH, F/A-18C or modernized MiG-29 is much more likely. And BTW, Trigger and Mihaly gonna rage like Hitler when they meet each other on DCS.
Its not so much about PSM than about keeping the target in your focus. Its about timing your turns so as to not over or undershoot. The speed of the craft should remain low enough to afford these moves and high enough to keep pushing the tail of the enemy.
in mission 7 in lore trigger was in f-16. During the game, in one of the cutscenes, you can see an image from the camera of Mihali's plane, which shows Trigger flying in the F-16
