Overcast damage hits the barrier first so it's much safer for Tzeentch to overcast spells.

I remember doing an ambush an over casting infernal gateway just at the head of the enemy formation, it was beautiful to see more and more troops trying to run to the exit area only to fall into the vortex

Playing as Chaos Undecided, using a Lord of Change general lets you buff your ranged line, rack up _colossal_ amounts of kills with the Lore of Tzeentch (triggering your faction powers) AND Treason of Tzeentch combo's really well with Slaaneshi cav.

Pink fire of tzeencht is the MVP without doubt. This thing makes blobs and massed ranged units so much easier to be dealt with.

Blue Fire can also be used to snipe foot lords by using it the same way as the Exalted Burning Chariot.

Pink fire also bounces off of walls. It's hard to make much use of this feature but it can be pretty handy in sieges

An amazing combo with this lore is the gaze of fate ability (locks the unit in place, also -40 melee attack) and then use Tzeentch's firestorm. This can almost completely kill most units, and make them easy to mop up

If you unlock and take the shard for the light magic for Kairos, the net of Amytok spell can be brilliant for pinning an enemy unit in place, or even two or three if overcast. Hit them with an overcast infernal gateway while they can’t move, and that will be the end of them lol.

Use terrain to force enemy to clump up then hit then with the full combo. Gateway in the back, firestorm in the middle, pink flame in the front. Then bombard the whole pack. The best kill is over kill.

How is glean magic getting you more winds? Costs 8, gives you 0.1/sec for 23 seconds, so 2.3. You're down 5.7 winds of magic now, aren't you?

If you overcast it, you end up getting back 4.6 of 12 but, you must also consider that Kairos has the passive from lore of death too, which grants an adicional 0.1 for 27 seconds or so. This means you end up getting 8+ winds of magic back plus it increases the pool recharge rate by 80% while decreasing your rival one by 40% and removes 4.6 from his pool (and you can use his another hability to further decrease the enemy pool by another 0.1)... Whether this is valuable or not... I don't know, I haven't tried it but I can say for sure it will only make sense in MP and you must be lucky that the rival uses a sorcerer/mage.

the math on the glean magic doesn't add up. It costs more than you gain.

With Kairos and the lore of death passive, you end up losing less than your rival but still, yes, you lose some magic to make your rival lose more than you.
