I mean, that type of guy is who I want to hear playing horns. If someone has significant physical faults in their playing, many times those faults superimpose themselves over the strengths and weaknesses of the instrument. Also, I’ve heard a lot of these cats live and on record; they sound fucking unbelievable on this gear. Better just about across the board.
@Adam Rapa LOTUS Trumpets. Curious. Do you customize the Mouthpiece Gap (Venturi) Setup for each performer's preferences? @1:27- It sounded like Ryan Kisor was sliding through partials on the horn with an impressive amount of controlled flexibility.
That's true, these guys would make just about anything sound good. The player is the larger side of the equation, probably at least 80%. However, there's a big difference between HOW good they can make something sound, and how pleasant it will feel for them to do so. Our goal is to make the gear that will help players of all levels both sound better but also play with a greater sense of ease. If you stay tuned we'll publish a bunch of videos where also amateur players are doing A/B tests to their current gear and LOTUS gear. At the end of the day, you'll have to try it for yourself and form your own opinion. /Henrik Grahn, CEO
