Louis Battles The Hardest Boulders He Has Ever Faced | V14 & V13 

Against all odds, I managed to climb out of bed this morning. It was graded 7am. Proper chuffed with myself.

Tough projecting on a 5-day trip. Loved the glasses on that mantel. Good effort finishing it after all those tries.

As a wearer of glasses, I can relate to this except for the V13 part.

When he almost topped out and slipped, my heart hurt for him. I can only imagine that level of frustration.

I really appreciate when Louis talks about the process, losing confidence, working the problem, failing, and learning. He explains the process with a refreshing vulnerability that fosters a teaching moment for everyone watching. That's likely what makes him an amazing coach, because even though I can only climb about V5, I find him and his process relateable. There are a million youtube videos of Super Strong Dudes sending tough boulders with a lot of bravado, and you folks do a great job of being different in a way that makes watching more enjoyable. Man I feared that Louis really hurt himself when he slid off Steppenwolf there. Crazy stuff. Magic Woods seems so insanely hard.

I have bought a cord that keeps your glasses on while climbing or doing any other physical activity. It is shoved over the parts that go behind your ears and connect at the back of your head. I think that would have helped in Louis case.

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. The anger, the determination, the support from his friends, the perseverance. I love watching Louis' coaching videos but this shows a completely different side. Amazing
