Probably the most anticipated guest that Rogans ever had. We've all been waiting for this day to come for so long now. And now finally it has happened: Joe List is back
I know you're just fucking around, but Joe List is insanely funny. I love that guy, in probably the gayest way possible. There's a reason why a legend like CK works with Joe List.
@@CrnogorskiNacionalista I always say this. The legal system penalizing someone isn't them being cancelled. Cancel culture itself hasn't actually gotten many people, if anyone at all, to be permanently affected by it.
He's funny up until he's not. The last special I saw from him wraps up with a big long creepy trans kids rant that confirms he's a Hollywood petal file.
Lol that's a good one! Consider going to a live show! It's sooo worth that 150 bucks or whatever I paid. He is touring in that states early next year again!
I loved his bit about "what would it take" to commit suicide, with the guy in the tan car, and when it transitions into talking about how the worst part about being beheaded by Isis is how stupid your face looks after. That stretch is to me the best section of stand up comedy I have ever seen.
"Hilarious" (specifically the bit as to _why_ it's called hilarious) is one of the few times a comedian had me breathless and inconsolable with laughter. Truly one of the greats. "The word "who" just slid out of him." *OH BOY* if it ain't the truth.
When I was about 14 years old a friend of mine committed suicide, he was an incredible athlete, and he was funny.. just a great kid. I had been a zombie for a week straight after it happened just sitting in a basement with my friends..I remember sitting down by myself watching TV after getting home from the funeral and saw Louis Ck's HBO special, this was around 2008/2009. I was crying laughing throughout the entire thing. It was the first time I had laughed or even smiled in over a week. I'll never forget the feeling of being able to forget about everything going on and enjoy the shit out of that special.
Louis had a joke where the premise was....even when life is at its shittiest and worst...it’s still funny. Maybe not in the same context as your situation but kind of is. Sorry to hear about your friend.
"It's a sport to get upset and they can play that game" Love that statement. Louis CK is great. I can't remember which interviewer said it but they said "I've never met an unintelligent comedian" and I completely agree.
Took Joe long enough to find his balls. If it wasn’t for Shane Gillis and others it wouldn’t have happened. I still think Louis is a left wing cuck but Joe dropped him like a bag of spuds
Plenty of good reasons. The prior episode was mind-boggling. He's been getting good guests consistently, regardless of whether some of you find it interesting.
The first thing I thought when I saw the title was "The reason Louis CK hates social media is because he's a sexual predator" and I think that's still true lol. It's really simple, the dude did something unforgivably disgusting and people told him that, and he got mad. lol
Just saw him a month ago... In Vancouver , the show was like 35$ ... It was a small, actually a tiny theater , not even down town. I was just blown away how good he was! My jaw hurt for 2 days after from all the laughing. He should be selling out Arenas.
Man watching Loui CK speak all these facts and Rogan just complying only shows how smart both these guys are. I haven’t heard Loui speak like this outside comedy and I love it
Louis is a very gifted writer and probably a goat of comedians. He can write new sets every year while Seinfeld has jokes 20 years old that he still uses. I appreciate the work to keep it fresh.
Seinfeld is a funny person and happens to be my favorite show of all time but part of that is Larry David and an insanely good cast. I like Seinfeld a lot but he's not the comedian that Louis CK is. He's been coasting off the show for 20+ years
Louis put it in such a fantastic way. A person who wasn't there or isn't participating seems to have a bigger voice or more rights than a person who bought a ticket to a show, film, etc in the eyes of these tech companies.
@@Brainbuster donald trump performs for an audience too. doesnt mean he should insulate himself. he does anyways though. and thats how you get toxicity
Louis is one of the few comedians I think the “modern philosopher” label actually applies to. He’s got such a precise and level-headed perspective on things.
@@EnkiSvohden Louis definitely adores Carlin, so its no surprise he might want to contribute to the efforts of the OG, as CK belongs to the rarity who are willing to be shamelessly honest, because they know its all about presentation.
" everything " being his sad sack forcing of his compulsion to expose himself on anybody he got any leverage on ? That the " everything " we speaking about here ? " Joe " is an idiot thinks black and white people got different brains, horse medicine cures covid and climate change might just be made up. You cretin .
Please do this again in the future, what a great podcast and a rare chance to hear Louis in a long format conversation. Also, Joe was great in Fourth of July and his specials on RU-vid are hilarious. He has nottttthing to be insecure about when it comes to being on the podcast.
Couldn’t help but cry some real tears of joy for every comedian Louie went out of his way to compliment. He knows how big that was for each and every one of them. Beautiful beautiful ppl. Thank you thank you
I am so happy to see this man. Completely destroyed by media for a single incident that was just awkard more than criminal. One of top 5 funniest men in existence.
Not even media. Social media. Big difference. The court of public misinformation. The description of the original event wasn’t even accurate and even the original accusers retracted the description, and I still see people say “he blocked the door and refused to let them leave”. It’s a dangerous world
bro he wasn't destroyed at all. He continued to do his thing, just the media didn't like him, that's all. He's been touring anyways and made like 2 legendary specials since then and he sells them through his website
Writing isn't easy, pros like Louie CK, work hard to pull jokes out of thin air, they pull and pull, constanting jerking jokes until it all comes together. He could even be in his apartment with guests over, when the urge strikes the man will just go to town writing comedy, pulling and pulling for the love of the game. Legend!
It’s great to have Louie back. The world needs Louie now, more than ever. Edit: This is addressing the people that disagree with my statement. Let me explain what I meant by, the world need him, more than ever. I believe comedy, is an extremely important art form, that can help us deal with and examine difficult topics, that people normally shy away from. Also, laughter is a crucial function for a mentally healthy individual. I know it may seem hyperbolic to say, the world needs him, but I believe, a comedian of his caliber, is important to the world.
@@karlyoung2484 The ability to laugh at the ridiculousness of life, culture or ourselves is tremendously important. And the more ridiculous and puritanically controlling certain influential groups get, the more important it becomes to laugh at that. Comedy lances cultural boils.
Louie is such a cool guy! Several years ago, I met him at the grocery store just outside of NYC. My wife is a huge fan. He talked to her for a good 20 minutes. He gave us his business card and he made all kinds of crazy jokes about wanting my wife to go back to his hotel room. There aren't many famous people that would take that much time to talk to a fan.
I’m sorry to say I never heard of him before. Have tried listening to him but enough with the cock & balls shit. I grew up in a very masculine house with three brothers & even they stopped all that talk in HS.
For me, I'm so sick to death of social media in general that even hearing the words "Twitter" "Facebook" "Instagram" causes a physical involuntary twitch in my face and my ears immediately turn off
