Good morning! I think you were diagnosed with diabetes. If you are taking Metformin PLEASE request a Vitamin B-12 test. Metformin can block absorption of B-12, necessitating injections. It’s a special blood test, so they don’t routinely check for it. My husband died from complications of a severe B-12 deficiency combined with sleep apnea.

Paula, instead of a pastry blender, I use a blending fork. I love it for blending butter to flour. It maybe would not hurt your hand. This strawberry cobbler sounds so good. There is nothing better than a strawberry cobbler warm with ice cream. I enjoy watching you so much. Love you, Paula.

Good morning Paula!!!! My favorite cobbler is rhubarb. I don't get that much anymore because it doesn't grow here in Florida. But sometimes I can get frozen rhubarb at Publix. They don't always have it, but when they do I grab it and make a rhubarb cobbler or crisp. It brings bac a lot of memories for me.

Paula that is not cobbler. Cobbler is a biscuit or dough type without theoatmeal. You made a crisp or crumble. And why cook the heck out of the strawberries on top of the stove and then continue to cook them in oven. The stove cooking is not necessary. Sorry but that did not look appetizing. Also it was too watery. You could tell by what by the liquid after your scooping..

I've learned to do things much more efficiently. Completely skip cooking the strawberries! Let them sit in a bowl with sugar and add cornstarch slurry. Put in pan with topping and bake.

I was lambasted on another thread when she made an "eclair" which was nothing like an eclair at all. There's a lot of misnomers going on here...this is more of a crisp. Her recipes seems just a mish mash of things.

@@londonlady227 Yes her "fans" are rabid. Don't worry about them. I don't. She made some eclair dessert a few weeks ago with marshmallow cream that was terrible. When she went to eat it she barely could because without exaggeration it stuck together so much she could not even use her fork. I don't know if they is the one you are referring to.

@@lesliesmith719 Yes that was the one. I stated clearly that an eclair is made with choux pastry traditionally. If you're going to term something with a name then fgs, make it like that. That mess she made was far from being an eclair but I've noticed that many Americans haven't eaten traditional French desserts. I'm from the UK and our desserts are second to none.

Way back at the start years ago, you used to tell EACH measurement of everything, but now it seems you say add this or that and sometimes skip showing steps. Guess you want sales for your cookbook but I still like your old school way
