Lead singer is William (Poogie) Hart Falsetto king with brother Wilbert Hart who is still alive at 77 years old and friend Randy Cain They defined the Romantic Philly sound .William was the main writer of lyrics and arrangements adding soft violins There is so much to say about this group. Thank you for reacting to them they are fantastic. Suggest "Didn't I blow your Mind This Time" and "Ready or Not Here I Come".. This is a group you should read about .As of July 2022 two original members had passed .William Hart lead singer passed in 2022 and randy Cain passed in 2009 at 63.. . I have loved their romantic soul music all these years thank you I've been waiting for this group. Thank you,. don't forget the Stylistics "You Made Me Feel Brand New" and more..

This song "La-La Means I Love You" came out in (1968). And it brought the Philly sound to the world. The Delfonics along with the Stylistics, Blue Magic, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes with Teddy Pendergrass and the O'jays made "Philadelphia International Records" a world renown name in the music industry. Great reaction to one of the greatest groups in music history. Their music is featured in many movies the latest being Quenton Taratino's "Jackie Brown (1997)" with Samuel L. Jackson, Pam Grier and Robert Deniro.

Now you have hit the correct era of soul music when it was real and sounding good to the soul! ("68"-"82") Check out their song "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time" If you want another out of a million falsetto gems from that period check out "Hey There Lonely Girl" by Eddie Holman and The Bloodstones singing "Natural High" and anything by Blue Magic and the Moments.

Top choice. The Delfonics were amazing. If you liked this super smooth soul that hit the music world when it expolded out of Philadelphia then you NEED to listen to Blue Magic "Whats come over me" is a great start point. Then listen to the greatest falcetto of all time Eddie Holman "My mind keeps telling me" so smooth. Then if you really want to dig deep check out The Controllers, 'Someones gotta win' if you dare. Love watching you guys. Have a great Christmas.

Getting warmer, “didn’t I blow your mind” is the one you should have started with

I was in Jr high when this song came out and I was in Love with the Delfonics. Other hits Didn't I Blow Your Mind, Somebody Loves You, Hey Love, to name a few. The Delfonics are R&B legends and had one of the greatest falsetto singers along with the Chi-lites. Unforgetable 60's-70's music.

I read in the comment section of another reactor who did this song, the Lila comes from the lead singer is a little girl. She was little and couldn’t say I love you to her dad so she said Lala. That’s how he came up with this song Lala means I love you❤

Growing up hearing this kind of music with my mom brings back so many good memories. The lead singer just died in 2022 I think
