Love Me, Love Me Not with Sophia DuBois 

Happy belated birthday Allison! I think there are many types of loves that come into our lives. If you lose the love of your life at 40 imagine being all alone for the next 50 years. A lot of people would just enjoy a companion who is a friend and who is kind after that.

Allison, I love your logical mind yet also such an intuitive and spiritual soul. Like the best possible combo for a medium! Btw, about the medium who said her partner was her brother. Fun story: my ex (now) boyfriend and I went to a kind of mass event with a medium back in october 1999. She, the mediumpsychic (her name was Svea Richtneu) talked to lots of people, but not me (I’m a gemini born -75 and I lost my bestfriend who was my littlebrother a Leo born -76 in 22.2.99). Because he was such a Leo I was sure he’d be calling me first, so after half an hour I decided we would leave. I pulled my jumper on and when i did the medium said ”here is a brother”. Since there were around 50 people I was very surprised that noone reacted. Then I lifted my hand and she came over to where we were sitting. First thing she said was : He says he wsnted to call you First but then wanted you to see how this works a little. After she had delivered messages from him she turned to my bf and me and said ”you two will have eachother” (I thought well that was a lie, because we were in the end part of our relationship. Then she also said ”you are like sister and brother” ….Now 24 yrs later I’ll tell you what then happened. I got pregnant in december ’99 but only found out in weelk 19 plus 4. I did do a pregnancy test in december because my obgyn suggested it but it was negative and I had not hadmy period for a year so I forgot about that then. Come april 2000 I literally see moms with babies all over town. Only reason I bought a preg test, ran in to a MacDonald’s toilet and did it and the two pink lines appeared immefiately. Still, didn’t believe it (my bf and I had dated 5 yrs and I had never gotten pregnant. And then, when we had broken up and once had sex after a barnight….. So, we did kind of get each other! Just not in the way it ’s usually meant. He is and has remained my very dear friend and I totally trust him. He is also a gemini. Our daughter is a VirScoSco (the universe must have thought that was a hilarious joke on us)😂 Thank you for letting me share❤

I enjoy all of your Dead Life Podcasts, but there is definitely something extra special when you have Sophia on with you. She is such a beautiful mixture of you and Joe, just watching her facial expressions is mesmerizing. Her empath abilities are so strong and your chemistry together is beautiful. These were some very complicated questions for sure ... You girls were awesome!

My mom has said so many times she will haunt people from the grave. She has done so much already and throughout my life to hurt me. If I may, she is a textbook covert narcissist. I was raised and only recently did I shed the “Everything is my fault” paradigm. She has ruined every relationship I’ve ever had. I’ve just learned to accept it. I don’t want to fight or justify or explain how she’s wrong. It will do no good. She even set up her will to leave me next to nothing. I told my brothers I don’t want anything. I refuse to be a part of this.

Sometimes "the love of our life" is better in the idea of them, than in the reality 24/7 of them. I hope this lady makes very sure where the feelings lay before she gives up her current husband.

I was in this spot with my now deceased mother in law telling my husband at one point “ it’s her or us” meaning the family. To his credit he put his foot down and to her credit she ultimately came around and on her death bed told us how she could leave in peace knowing her son was now happier than he’d ever been. Years later I saw a medium who brought her through saying that in her final years - she came to love me as one of her own. 💕( her husband was an alcoholic through most of their marriage. He was a Scorpio and she a Sagittarius…what were they thnking in the first place?😂

Whoa I had that happen in my marriage. My ex’s mom didn’t find anyone good enough for her only son. She had 4 daughters too but they weren’t treated the same way as her golden boy. She would tell me her son treated me awful and if it was her she’d leave him. After 21 years of marriage I had enough of his narcissistic ways (slow learner) and filed for divorce; then my ex’s mom turned on me and she couldn’t believe I put her boy through this mess of a divorce.

The show medium and your books helped me so much throughout my life because I lost my Dad when I was 16 (I’m 47 now). Happy Belated Birthday (your birthday is one day before my sister’s.). I’m the youngest of three daughters (also why I loved your show Medium.) I’m a huge fan of yours but this particular podcast hit home for me. I'm one of those boy Moms obsessed with my son and he’s recently married, with a newborn baby and he won’t let me meet my grandson. It’s really hurtful. I also want to comment on how I met my husband (who is my soulmate) on the internet BUT I did also meet him in a bar 20 years before we met online. I had no idea it was the same guy when we chatted online but we figured it out while we were dating. 🙂 I just wanted to share those things and say thank you again and again! You and your daughter are adorable together and it’s really fun to hear both of your perspectives.

I used to believe, until I came into contact with catholic “persons” who were “dressed” like a bride of Christ, but was very hurtful physically and mentally, not just to me but my classmates, I cannot forgive those actions that she did in the name of God. Then there was the other situation with a family member where when needing help and understanding was let down by the church

"Being a bad mom on steroids" I swear I ALWAYS think "when you have your life review.... you are gonna REGRET how you handled that". I promise I have that thought like once a week about people in my family. Her son shouldn't really be carrying ANY guilt. Seems like he should really feel more like, sad for her...🤷🏽‍♀️

I noticed people talk about the other side and stuff, but nobody says anything about a God or a God figure or anything biblical. Is there a reason for that? Is that a higher plane than the typical other side?

Native people did not have a god or jesus before the white man came and we lived beautiful lives while living in harmony with the world we lived in. One of the few people in the history of the world to do so. Religion is a killing machine proven throughout history. I'm atheist and a native of this country [Canada] I'm old now and a survivor of the indian residential schools. I witnessed the horrible evil of religion in those schools.
