Join me for this 27-minute Yoga For Low Back practice! In this session we address all areas that contribute to low back aches and pain, as well as provide preventative care, culminating in the ultimate low back love practice!
Flexibility, core stability, healthy alignment, and conscious breathing are all necessary for a healthy back. Practice actively engaging the core for support and then give some love to that lower back with the use of gentle spinal flexions, extensions and twists.
Take some time to tend to your body with care, awareness and mindfulness.

I want you all to know that when we were stretching our left hips, my cat came up onto my lower back (which felt very nice) and there she stayed! She stayed there from left hip to table top to right hip! Really helped me engage my core; I didn’t want to dislodge her. Hehe

One benefit of Covid 19 for me, has been that I found you Adrienne. I love your Yoga practices and actually prefer them to the ones I've been taking at my fancy pants gym. :) Your gentleness, humor, calming voice and complete verbal instruction is incredible. My back has been horrible for a week now and I started today by doing to low back classes and I feel so much better. Thank you for your talent, dedication and wonderful personality. I don't know why this is showing up under "Brian's 40th birthday message", but I am not Brian, I'm Barb. Bri is my son and he did turn 40, but this is so weird. Anyway, I'm sure he'd like you too!

Always love that she says exactly what you need when you need it even when you don’t know it. “Relax your face” as my jaw is tightening without realising for example. So perfect, so intuitive and just what my body needed as always

To God be the glory, I was suffering with lower back pain until I found Adriene. Nothing worked for me until I started yoga with Adriene. Just showing gratitude today for you Adriene. I'm 61, a pianist and gardener with a big property and a lot of activity. Between the physical work and time on the piano bench, my body is screaming at me to get on the mat everyday. Thanks to Adriene I can call up a 10 minute yoga if that's all I have time for , specifically to my needs for that day or just fall into a nice long session - and I feel amazing every time and more centered in myself. Adrienne, thank you. I often cry when doing your sessions, such a release, and fantastic for my back, which I broke in a horse riding accident in my 20’s. I’m now in my 50’s. You are a brilliant guide, gentle and understanding. I have only just started practicing with your videos and already feel the benefit. I love the short ones, as they fit in my day. @@jkurylenko I had a back operation 4 years ago which fixed it immediately. I only started doing YWA after that so that I don't have problems in the future. I find at my age (61) the practices are more for prevention than cure. I'd like to keep my body strong and agile to enjoy my grandkids as much as I can.

I've been doing yoga for 45 years and this is one of the best practices I've seen in all that time. Excellent ways to target all aspects of lower back pain/care and a great teaching style. Excited to see what else you're doing. I'm in!

I have become addicted to yoga with Adriene. I am 69, have arthritis, back surgery, and fibromyalgia but still have amazed myself as the weeks go by. No, I cannot do all the positions but am learning how important breathing and grounding yourself to the earth is. Wonderful teacher and Benji!

whenever I feel like doing that I do a 5min flow :) doesn't sound like much but makes a huge difference. Also do them as study breaks so I don't get sucked into youtube or Instagram but actually take a break

101 days of yoga and counting! Today was a huge struggle for me. I love a lower-intensity practice, mind you, but my body can't fold quite like that for the sitting and crawling the hands forward. I can't really bend over that way, so I did my best to modify the best I could. Whatever you do, keep showing up and keep working. You've got this!

I just wanted to let you know that I came across your channel at the beginning of my weightloss journey level 2 a year ago. After fighting and working my way through a lot of self doubt and fighting with my insurance, I was finally able to get bariatric surgery. I'm 27. I started out at 400lb. and am now 330lb. I'm so grateful for this practice and really love your honest gentle soothing vibe and approach.... Hello everyone! If you are experiencing back pain(lower) this is a great practice for you. I recently pulled something in my back(and have arthritis) and have been doing this for the last 3 days and it's incredibly helpful. Remember to stretch and look at other beneficial yoga poses to strength your core and back. Adriene, your sessions always bring me to my "calm body" place, which I value and I appreciate daily. Thank you from the bottom to the top of my heart for all your sessions! Every day's is good when you are on the mat and doing Yoga with Adriene. Mahalo, from Hawaii~

Thanks so much Adriene. I utilise your back care workshop sessions regularly as part of my therapy for a long term lower back niggle. (It’s a “stuck at the desk or in the car all day” problem I’ve developed over years) This session is particular is sooooo good at engaging the supportive muscles of my core and lengthening all the tight contracted muscles through the hips and upper legs. It makes such a difference! Thanks again 😊

This practice is so valuable, as having back pain in the past I can guarantee that it always works for me. I return to it if needed, but I enjoy this slow mindful sequence anytime to keep my back strong and aligned in an amazingly safe way. Your knowledge of this Adriene is awesome. These past two days of HONOR Dec 2020 calendar have come at SUCH a perfect time for me! Yesterday I just started a new WFH job where I was sitting at a desk all day for around 10+hrs! Hunching over my computer, my lower and upper back both needed some love. Thank you Adriene!

You would have laughed watching me try to get up into a squat! I took so long getting up (eventually doing it differently!) that you had finished in forward fold and were on the way down again! I have had severe lower back pain since 5 days, the first time I ever experienced pain like this. Now, 5 days, 1 massage and about 10 of Adriene's lower back yoga videos later, it's already feeling so much better. More even, after every practice I feel a great sense of relief, and I feel as if it is incrementally better already. I am surprised about how FAST the positive results show, and am eternally grateful for these videos. ❤

I started to think that i guess I'm doing something wrong. Normally whenever my body aches i practice yoga and it helps a lot but I've been practicing for 12 days today and my body is still stiff 😣🤷🏼‍♂️ but I'm back on my mat everyday with love!

Adrienne I have to tell you that I've been suffering from lower back pain for years and even practised yoga but nothing has been able to ease it like this video and I have to thank you because I can now feel like I can enjoy my twenties and feel freedom in that area for the first time Ina very long time. I woke up today and realized my low back was starting to spasm and I knew it could get to a point where I would collapse on the floor if I didn't take care of it. As soon as I opened RU-vid to do yoga, this video popped up. My low back is not hurting anymore AND I feel connected to my breath and body - ready to face my day. Definitely saved this video. Thank you, Adriene!

Thank you so much for this! I've been doing some strength training lately, and I'm not the best at engaging my core muscles when doing different exercises, so when I'm done, I definitely feel it in my lower back. I did this yoga routine right after my strength training this morning, and I could feel the difference as soon as I was done. I'll definitely come back to this workout frequently. Thank you so much Adriene! I absolutely love your peaceful, gentle and mindful approach to yoga and health. You're an angel!

well, I am now a fan. this is my fourth day with you, Adriene, and I could tell from the first day that my back loves you, your yoga, your kindness, your love of the miracle of our bodies. And, my cat loves doing yoga with you as well. When you were kidding about adding more blanky or your dog, my cat was volunteering, or anyway, she was lying on my blanket, so it looked like she was. thank you.

One of my favourite videos to come back to, was nice to see in the Feb calendar. Back in the summer I had really tweaked by back, a bulging disc after months of neglect. This video along with some others in the lower back playlist really accelerated my healing process and I’ve been good form since. A scary wake up call, but one I needed to prioritize my health again.

My mom has had lower back pain for going on six years now, waking up with a ton of tightness in her back. After literal months of trying to convince her, I came home for the holidays and got her to do this flow with me. She came downstairs the next day raving about how she hadn’t woken up with any tightness, and we’ve been doing this flow every night since. Thank you Adriene!!

Don't worry honey. There’s some really pathetic dudes out there venting their anger w/ life by giving every popular videos a thumb-down. My deepest sympathy toward those folks, but sadly no one’s life’s gonna change b/c of these fewer than nothing thumbs-down. Wish they find a better way to cope w/ life ... e.g. start practicing wonderful yoga routines w/ Adrienne XDD

Hello ,My name is Lisa I'm 49 years old. I'm had 6 backsurgeries. I have a spinal cord stimulator I have several different types of arthritis . I discovered you through. A friend of mine and I just wanna say from the bottom of my heart Thank you also it has taken 3 years but I have lost 100lbs , So many things are so much easier for me. The way I get up-and-down with all the issues in my back and having the flexibility with Yoga. It has helped everything thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

I have been practicing with Adriene since 2016--on and off. Sometimes it's a long time before I do an entire video again. I've known for a long time I really needed to and finally my achey back was just becoming too much and I sat down with this video today. I can't believe how much pain I've been living with and how much pain was relieved in just these 26 minutes, and how much calmer my heart feels. Thank you Adriene, from the bottom of my heart as always

I hope Adrienne knows how many lives she’s saving- I’m 43 and have had two major spinal surgeries and three major joint surgeries- doing yoga with Adrian is teaching me how to reconnect my movements,re- teaching my body how to move again and move properly and for this I thank you 🙏🏻from the bottom of my heart! I’m now on day 15 of practicing every day!

I got up with severe low back pain and searched for some yoga postures to soothe this pain. Found this video and am so thankful dear. The slow calm movements made me realise the stress and tension which my body was holding on to. This helped relax and smooth the pain. God bless you dear . Thank you so much 🙏
