for my sit ups I do not do them often I use an abdominal mat to take the pressure off the lower back and I found with my back pain Relaxation techniques and stretches have solved it - gone 100 percent - I also started going to a yoga pilates and tai chi principles class at my gym every Saturday this has been monumentally benefical just my two bobs worth :-)

So informative thanks for filming this. Question so what do you think about an AB lounge that's what I am using right now. My biggest problem is my sides and the lower side on my stomach. I am going to try this.

So think about the ab lounge...it's something thats helping you do the exercise, just that fact means you're not working as hard as you could be. I'm not a fan of crunches or sit-ups and don't think they need to be done to achieve results. Most of us women have a little excess on the sides of our stomach, our "love-handles" are actually our Obliques. So the number one exercise for that is the side plank like I show in the video towards the end. To make it harder you can tap the ground with your hip and then come back up to a straight position. This will give you almost like a "crunch" feeling without hurting your back in any way. Thanks for your question.
