In this episode I configure my PCV system for the LS turbo build. Using a clean side/dirty side system, I leverage a cheap catch can setup from Evil Energy and make use of two check valves to make sure that I'm not pressurizing the crankcase on boost, but also allowing the intake vacuum to properly evacuate the crankcase at idle.

I installed one with good results but my is different because The mesh is the return hose and the other tube is the inlet. It does work both ways but just wanted to mention it.

Would you at all be able to provide the IAT sensor you used ? As well as the 2.5Bar map sesnsor ? I think I have the right one (MAP)

Think you just made a big vacuum leak at the catch can having the breather on top - setup like that shouldn't go to manifold vacuum just both valve covers as breathers I'd think ?

I've replaced the breather with another check valve that only allows air out now. It's not a vacuum leak because of the check valve going into the manifold - that allows air into the manifold under vacuum, but snaps shut when the manifold is under positive pressure. When under positive pressure, if there is positive crankcase pressure, it's allowed to escape through the top check valve to the atmosphere.

I think at idle there is vacuum leak from driver side exactly from the filter of catch can

did you ever make an update of your tire bomb episode or am i just blind? I wondered how well it held up over time.

I did not - but I certainly can. The tires are holding up great though!

www.amazon.com/UPR-Billet-Check-Valve-17mm-5/dp/B07456L6BG This is the brand I used, but in different diameters depending on where it was placed. No complaints so far!

Why didn't you use the existing pcv plug on the manifold driver side? Did you plug it?

Yeah it's plugged - I wanted a cleaner installation without a bunch of hose length running across the top of the engine.

It is! I've made one small addition since the video though, adding a check valve to the top to ensure I'm not drawing in air, only exhausting through that under boost.

I thought plumbing my fresh air side to intake side of turbo would smooth outvmy idol. But it's still the same..
