Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Nationals Part 2 - MX vs ATV Legends 

They need to majorly up the terrain deformation for the nationals. I ran 10 laps with Ai on the first 4 tracks and it was essentially nothing. One corner would have a small rut at most. All Outs Ama Nationals would get so rough and rutted it was awesome, choosing a line and sitting in a rut and nailing it felt awesome in All Out

A step up would be to have versions of every track: No ruts Mild ruts Full ruts Let the player adjust the deformation. Idk why it should only be programmer's choice. 0 (nothing) to 100 (crazy deep ruts and practically unrealstic). Let the user control the extremes. And imagine adding mud and rain.

They need to add the rest of the nationals in the multiplayer playlist and make a Lucas oil playlist too and they also need to bring back custom lobbies

Is there an adjustment for how much you can lean back? I fell like I can’t wheelie rollers, or realy wheelie at all unless it is from a stop

Yz are big. At least they used to be during Stewart time. The four-strokes, not sure about the two strokes.

you can see how much higher the back fender is on the CRF450 and YZ450 in the menu, compared to the others. Reminds me a lot of how the bike would look while sitting on a stand.

Hope the online freeride comes back and they fix the texture rendering on series. I still want to see smoke, replay editor, walk back to your bike after a bail, skin colors other than white porcelain doll. This game is on unreal engine so there shouldn't be any excuse not to give us this, they can literally buy smoke for the game at the price they make us pay for these tracks.

I wish they had pit bikes in mx vs atv legends.

Can confirm that the yzs are wide, rode both the 450 and 250. I think they’re the widest in the classes.

I have ran into a big issue in the career of legends and I just completed week 88 and it will no longer let me progress I have 1st place on all races previously except for 1 and I have 495470 thousand fans and it needs 360000 to progress and it’s just locked I have restarted the game and nothing has changed and I really like this game but I need some help of what to do please anyone help or anyone else comment if u are having this issue

You must have gotten a better version than the rest of us

I think its an improvement to All out too, ground physics wise. I just hope they sort everything else out too.

Not gonna drop a dime on bikes that don’t have any performance differences. I know it’s not a lot of money but just to have Yamaha plastics isn’t worth it. Possibly would invest in a 500 two stroke or a 350 four stroke but other then that it just isn’t worth it. Game is superb right now with a few things to iron out but I gotta say I am having a lot of fun. Pretty much what all out should have been. Wish we didn’t have to pay for tracks 😭

Unadilla looks pretty spot on honestly i ride the track every year for the retro race they have and it is literally the sickest track ive ever ridden

They are a wide bike in general, you asked for realistic play you got it, I don’t get how you’re still complaining about the smallest things..

Is anyone else having issues where some of the tracks get blurry at high speeds and the track seems to not render properly?

I didn’t get the 2021 bikes since I got the game and now today, I don’t have the 2022 pro Mx tracks:(

I turned Pro physics off and the bike seems much more stable in the air and whipping is a bit easier and smoother... I could be wrong but it feels different to me. For anybody struggling with the bike stability in the air, give that a try and see if it works for you.

Better than all out imo. Just need to sort out some bugs and the crashing on series x. Picking bikes in the garage is very buggy and slow, i dread when I want to pick a different bike because it will either crash or take alot of time just to pick a different bike. This game does have a very high ceiling and the first person is the best in the series as it sits right now.

The nickel n' diming of DLC content immediately after game release just sucks, notably the vehicle packs. Imagine buying a new AAA FPS game that only comes with .22 pistols and plinker rifles for stock weapons and you the have to spend $8.99 for the Ruger weapon pack, another $7.99 for the Mossberg 3 gun pack, etc.. Quality track pack are fine but the petty DLC crap is sickening.

Does anyone get very bad FPS on some tracks on Xbox One? Some tracks seem to lag in the same exact spot each lap...?

This game is embarrassing and so glad I refunded it. Feels so clunky and slow and terrible UI.

Your complaint on first person is understandable I didn’t like that either but you have to consider in real life you have to stay over the bars so that’s why I was ok with it

I bought this game for the sole reason of racing the MX tracks. I will say they delivered on the accuracy of these tracks, but man everything else is hot garbage with this game. Physics, sounds effects and realistic racing are all awful. Yes the MX tracks are fun to race, but it really sucks we can't even play them in a championship format. We are stuck only able to play them individually in Exhibition.

Roczen likes his rear to stay up and not stay compressed down like most riders. Maybe that's what they based the Honda after, seems like a stretch but maybe so.

Yamahas are known for being and feeling wide. Kinda interesting that they would actually make it wide in the game haha

yesterday i played this game and immediately after i played All out. the pro nationals in all out are way better imo. mainly because they have a lot of premade ruts and they hook you, not like in legends. i dont like legends at all. only good thing is that the bike feels heavier. the just had to do some tweaks to the physics from all out , and then they release THIS?! worst 80 bucks spent in years.

I think budds creek, washougal , unidilla & hangtown are the best tracks. Red Bud doesn’t sit right w me, neither does Lakewood nor high point.

I definitely had problems with the bouncing when casing jumps. But I just improved my technique. Im finding the more I play the game the less bouncing and sliding I end up doing.

Legit I live like 10 minutes from Ironman so it really is fucking badass. I got hella buddies that race it (not the pro track)

It took away all my career progress but 6 races, I completed the 6th race an I still can't talk to my crew an it says talk to crew before I cN start the next race!!! WTF!!!!!

Idk i get the weird bounce all the time and the bikes never seam to want go get traction but overall good game

It’s not just you, first person whips are just terrible, you can’t bring it back fully no matter how hard you try.

I just want to repost here my comment for the MX vs ATV developers so i hope they will see it and listen to the feedback to keep improving the game either this game or futures games: Hi all! So here is my message and tips for the devs to improve MX vs. ATV Legends or make their way to improve the next MV vs ATV games. "For the next games" Make the handling "simple" with a lot of natural touch to it, so that you can feel bike the terrain and everything well. In Unleashed i think it worked that way and somehow felt very realistic back then when the game was released, it also had official drivers like Jeremy McGrath on the PlayStation 2 version for example which i found a must have. You did a mistake, did a trick or something you had a crash, you fell out. Next thing here in this game for sure the bikes doesn't sound too deep and most of all they are quite silent and like you @windham151 said it feels like it would be too schematic, like the bike would be stuck with one higher gear or mid rpm or something, also while accelerating and being in the air at the same time i guess Legends miss that very high rpm sound. So this need to be changed/improved. Another things are animations movements etc, you basically feel the driver doesn't do too much on the bike like some effects and some behaviour in the game and the same with the physics, feels a bit stiff and too less dynamic, manual and random. It feels like being rough but not necessarily rough in the way that you get some more bumps jumps, movements etc. it's more rough like too much stiff in that case and that's not the way to go i think it's too less immersive and of course less natural. At the same time the ruts/trails making difference is a good step forward from the older games so at least in that case i think it's ok and can get even more accurate in the future too. The cars being a bit stiff and cartoony in behaviour is not always that much annoying if the terrain and tracks do it's job but for the bikes you need feel there much more depth. I'm not a motorcyclist , don't have the experience from Motocross motorcycles, also the only games i mostly played was indeed MX vs ATV Unleashed, Untamed, Reflex or All Out but i think that what i said is the right direction to go. We of course have to feel it simple and fun but it does need a lot of naturality in it and depth. This series can still have potential to be the most realistic or fun or both from "Motocross + other vehicles" games, doesn't matter if it will be like arcade with a lot of realistic and natural elements, if it will be more simcade or sim with fun elements. It can get good but it does need those steps to get better for this and next games, people need to feel it deeper as i'm aware because some people playing these MX vs. ATV games are very passionate and you can feel some are just not happy enough with them. The rest of problems are few glitches, bugs, things already implemeted in the game or lack of other important things implemented. At All Out or maybe also somewhere else the AI, Bots on hardest difficulty were probably a bit too quick. There are things which can work better and made more simple and having more sense too :) For example as i mentioned with the animations people are playing Battlefield 2042 and even if it was in a bit worse state and not bad but average quality at few things, they could deliver improvements to those animations or other things, improvements and changes thanks to liveservice, keeping the game support alive for 1 or more years so it is very needed. And i think if the next game will be already a bit more improved on launch i could buy it, i can even go for DLC's but it need to get a bit better otherwise myself or other people will need to wait for sales or it's state after updates to play it. If the games will be a bit improved people will buy it. Developers i don't say now about MX vs ATV developers "i mean it in general" sometimes have to understand it and not be too lazy or greedy for money, they can get a lot money, but just bring it on, do a good job with the games. In this case i guess it is possible to do. I keep fingers crossed for the MX vs. ATV devs. I will of course buy the game because i was and still am interested in it, especially when it will get slightly cheaper or I will just have a bit more money for it :) Greetings to all :)

Game sucks… wish you didn’t have to click in the left and right sticks to shift in manual… if you could set the bike up it could be better. Idk I’ve been trying to grind it out but I still the game sucks

Is anyone having an issue where They can’t use any other bike then the rainbow 125 in career mode? I have the icon pack with all bikes but can’t use any of them in career mode?

i know im in the minority when it comes to this sort of thing, but i would really love if they did DLC to add another open world map. One of my favourite things from ATV offroad fury 2 was the train in that game, doing jumps and tricks over it and riding on it, I was thinking it would be cool to have a snowy maybe Alaska map in Legends with a train that would be pretty awesome, I love the Farm, Utah, California, and Colorado maps in the game and id really love to have more. I have over 100 hours in the game but it feels like ive ran out of things to do, ive never been a huge fan of the Pro MX dlc tracks so im hoping they add something more for arcade style fans like me. But i really love the game WAY better than All Out in my opinion.

The sound is terrible… there are frame rate drops on one map with forest and mountains… and if u ride online from sx to nationals the sound is like indoor of sx. And why the heck u can’t make a freeride on any map?? It sucks so hard

How do you unlock more free ride maps? I've put a few hours into the game but am just stuck with the first 2 maps

I bought the dlc for the ama pro nationals but I can’t seem to figure out how to get to them on the game. How do I navigate to just freeride the pro national tracks I’m confused

This is just an opinion. I loved all out from day one. Especially after they updated physics. They game is so flowy and scrubs/whips made it fun. I just can’t get on board with legends the same way a lot of ppl couldn’t get on board with all out.

Unfortunately, the Yamaha 4 strokes are extremely wide in general so it’s pretty accurate

Does anyone notice the cr250 has four stroke sounds

Yeah I had the 2011 version YZ450F and a KX450F at the same time for a few years the YZ is a wider bike. In fact it is larger altogether and it FEELS larger but it is a beast on the power. Most bikes you are increasing power the YZ for my I was always trying to tame it down. The thing is a monster. I have only ridden KX and YZ in the past 10 years so I cannot compare to other manufacturers but I hear the KTM and Honda are much slimmer but I cannot confirm this.

can you do online multiplayer with the nationals ?

Ive been playing on an xbox series x and found the game to be unbelievably buggy and glitchy. Its got great potential if they fix it up but watching you play legends on the pc just looks to behave like a completely different game and works so much better. On console its crazy how often the bouncing you mentioned happens and can even mounce you up and over barriers on some tracks when youve landed the jump perfectly. My biggest issue at the moment is though ive made it to the 250 2t supercross part of the career and all of the 250 2 strokes seem to glitch out and be stuck jumping between 4th and 5th gear after i modify/tune them and dont allow you to go past 15kmph making it impossible to continue the career. And it wont allow me to use any other bike or even the 125 in the series to get beyond it. Would love to know if anyone else has had or having the same issue because its made it unplayable for me. Ive gone back to playing reflex and alive now because i cant continue this game any further because of that issue. Disappointing since i was so keen and waited so long for this game.

I dont think PC had the same game that xbox and PS had at launch. At launch this game felt like it was beyond fixing on pc. Rainbow put out a update that fixed just about everything that people were complaining about and it is actually a pretty fun game now.

Anyone else think the clutch boost is op makes your bike gain 3 times more power even when your already doing 50mph i can understand at low speeds but you get such a boost doing it all the time i think that needs toning down when u flick the clutch and your 125 goes past a 450 because they didnt flick it

Can confirm the 2021 YZ450F feels wider than its competitors, it suits my style as Im a taller rider.

This game continues to disappoint. I can’t run a series on the national tracks, I can’t run them online. There still is no private lobbies, it’s just such a major step back from all out I will never understand why it was released like this

One thing that I HATE is that the riders look so small on the bikes. I don't necessarily think that it looks bad, but I think they should add rider height modification to either make your rider more personalized, or make the rider look more natural on the bike.

Glad to see they finally fixed the back section of Washougal. They took the table out before the Catchers Mit and put the small S turn in before the first Washougal they had in All Out. But with that big triple after the turns section and before the last drop off is a small table and that big double before the last turn connecting to the hole shot isn't there either it's again a small table or sometimes a small step up. Then for this year the Classic Washougal Whoops might not be there. They took them out and made it a small Rhythm section at the beginning of the year when they was running the track backwards. They might rebuild them for the Nationals but it won't be the same.
