He grew up in Hong Kong so would have been exposed to the Queens English as filtered through that part of Asia, but being a part of KPOP, they focus on American English. So Lucas would likely speak English with different accents.

While I’m sure that’s play a part in his pronunciation, in this song he pronounces a lot of words in a heavy London accent which would not usually be taught in schools and is often the accent on many big British rappers so is more likely a stylistic decision showing his music influences than as a result of his nationality. But I imagine your point still stands, especially in his spoken English.

@@4eyesinthecorner399 When it comes to Lucas and “school”, I don’t necessarily see those going together? More like Lucas and the streets of Hong Kong, his friends and what he picked up along the way. I know he’s close to his family but that doesn’t correlate to a school system (that comment made me laugh but that’s cute actually). I’m not saying he’s not smart, he obviously could have made better choices but that’s partly being young and maybe undisciplined.

I LOVE clapback songs (MadCity(NCT127), thunderous(SKZ), etc) but this one jsut hit so dofferent with all the emotions, like you can FEEL it & im so happy for him, its like when Hyunjin got falsely accused & came back harder but times 10 (also song is just an absolute BANGER)

“They about to tell a lie” - all I can say is SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS!!! Go on, Renegade… tell ‘em! Been waiting for this moment for what feels like FOREVER and I’m freaking PROUD OF LUCAS. I’m so happy he’s back! He absolutely told nothing but FACTS. Also, his animal and emoji is the lion 🦁 and his fandom are Lumi. We are his light and he is ours.

so the thing with lucas is, lucas blasted a stalker fan (a saesang) on bubble for stalking and following wayv and the rest of nct around for YEARS, like she has went as far as following them into the bathroom, trailing their vehicles and ect. (!!) bcs he called her out she and a group of others fabricated a bunch of rumors against him abt him “cheating” on them, using them for money and gaslighting them. sm made him release an apology statement which many non-fans and fake nctzens took as a sign he was guilty but no, sm is notorious for doing this whenever any of their idols get into any kind of scandals even when they are false to calm down the media which only ever ends up making the situation worse. it just recently happened to karina from aespa as her relationship with an actor got caught and confirmed. so what did sm do? made her write a handwritten apology to appease the fans and previously with taeyong the leader of nct for bullying allegations against him, he wrote an apology and met the “victim” in person just for later on the victim and school teachers to say he lied and taeyong was actually innocent the entire time. 😭 there was also allegations of lucas sa’ing someone that came out of nowhere that was not at ALL in the original posts against him. many kpop stans just blindly went along with it so people constantly hate on him. but the person who made this up later on admitted she lied and deleted the tweet and her account as soon as sm released a statement of “sueing” ppl who are spreading false allegations against lucas. but like always nobody cared to do their own research and all of it just screamed he was being set up yet no one batted an eye and immediately went to hate on him. all in all lucas deserved so much better and was put on a hiatus for 2 years with sm hoping the situation would just die out but it didn’t obviously bcs sm never tried to stick up for him ( this is also common sm entertainment behavior with their chinese idols, they experience insane mistreatment and sm is just xenophobic towards them, so sm probably never will help or clear lucas’ name) so he left nct to not cause the group harm.

seeing comments abt him “bad mouthing” the members is just ridiculous if you knew how much lucas loves wayv/nct. he was the member all of wayv said was the most affectionate and loving towards the rest of them, he’d facetime them when he missed them and constantly show them his appreciation. he called out sasaengs for harassing his members often to protect them. that’s literally the reason why he even ended up calling that sasaeng out, not only that but he also still actively hangs around with the rest of nct as they recently went to a concert together in korea. and adding on to my previous comment the sasaeng that started all of this is now targeting the minors in nct wish just as she stalked and harassed jisung when he was 14/15 . and sm continues to do nothing to hold that woman accountable when she is very known to nct members and nctzens, she literally laughs abt ruining lucas’ career on twt and still stalks and follows him. i’m really glad you guys checked out his debut ! hopefully we get more lucas reactions in the future.

Thank you for reacting. I'm so proud & happy for him!💚😁 His fandom name is Lumis but I'm not sure if he'll change it now that he's solo since that's what NCTzens know him as. At 0:40, when you were talking about the two groups, same songs, and different languages, I thought you were talking about NCT lol because they have a song called Regular that NCT 127 promoted in two versions English & Korean but then when WayV debuted they gave them Regular as well but sang in Chinese so their's three different versions of the song & the lyrics all mean different things in all 3 versions so there's that.

Thanks for reacting to Lucas. The plan b video is special for its own reasons. It's more choreography based but still ties in with the story of plan A. Also there's 3 songs for the comeback so I recommend the other 2. They show different sides of him.

e waited two and a half years for Lucas and he gave us the news of his return. A main rapper executing the choreo like a main dancer and displaying the undeniable visuals. That can just be LUCAS, my ultimate bias, the one I can stan my whole life. None of my other Kpop biases can make me feel crazy, addicted and satisfied like he does, honestly... Lol I liked it. I didn't know what to expect from him but I was pleasantly surprised. I wish him luck 🙂 I cannot wait until you get to SuperM a show called 'As We Wish" where every member stars in their own mini kdrama based kn their own ideas. They all did really good but Lucas' was so funny lmao They also all get pranked in individual scenarios but split up in threes... so much fun 😂 (Did that make any sense? Lmao)

he didn’t abuse anyone, the person that accused him of that was a sasaeng who is known for stalking and harassing the nct members. she accused him of all kinds of things bcs he called her out for harassing yangyang, she wasn’t happy abt a member sticking up for themselves so she plotted against lucas gathered a bunch of her other sasaeng friends and made up rumors. pls research properly before spreading accusations like that.

I feel like an interesting part of the MV was when he turned into a rat and one of the headlines was ‘singer Lucas turns into rat’ or something which i think is about how the media perception of him suddenly changed as if he’d turned into this creature no one likes all of a sudden. (I thought the rat was very cute) but the concept of a rat in a courtroom isn’t great, and then the man trying to squish him is like the haters trying to kill his career. Idk i might be thinking too much into it but i do think the music video was very well thought out in its concept. The fact it’s in a courtroom is evidence enough that the man has a point and he’s finally saying his opinion after 3 years of silence. I still like the Plan B video more bc the dance is sick and especially the dance break in the bridge aaa please check it out if you have time! Thank you for reacting to our Lucas!

The perfect fandom name would be PARIA 🤭 Now, Lucas's "scandal" in my interpretation and comprehension: As a teen, he was a bad boy playing the girls who tried to " buy" his attention with gifts ( stupid girls, clever boy🤷‍♀️) ,some of them came two years ago on media and made a big fuzz about his betrayal and him cheating, that put his career on standby , costing him his place in NCT and WayV, and after the situation was amplified by haters and some media, the boy locked himself in his room for months , the only good thing about his isolation was that beautiful long hair😍 , because being forced to mature in such a short time , is a nightmare for everyone 😢 I was not a fan, but occasional follower ,so, I can tell that I'm impartial and old enough to understand that this incident was the product of frustration and childishness of these girls who couldn't let go of the past, because, well, which one of us wasn't betrayed or ever cheated once in our life?! One more thing : I was hoping for a nice album, but he brought us a brilliant one 😊

It was more than that. He would call out stalkers on social media, saying that he was frustrated/angry that they wouldn't leave the wayv members and himself alone. He protected his members the most. He was the one to show his affection more and always contacted them when he was away with SuperM. Those stalkers didn't like that Lucas was fighting back so they came up with that story around his comeback with Hendery. SM didn't handle the situation well but from what I know it has something to do with him being Chinese. There are many idols this has happened to where it's just baseless rumors. Taeyong was targeted as well, accusing him of being a school bully (in elementary or middle school). SM made him apologize so knetz thought he was an actual bully. There's a fan event where the fans skipped him and proceeded to get signatures from the other members. A teacher had to come out in his defense and say Taeyong was a well behaved, nice kid who never bullied anyone. Turns out he was just a bystander. Like most kids are. He was probably scared to get bullied too, as bullying in South Korea is far worse than in the U.S. (for comparison).
