Just Music. Luciano Pavarotti sings "La Fleur Que Tu M'avais Jetée" from "Carmen" by Georges Bizet in this recording with the Vienna Volksoper Orchestra conducted by Leone Magiera.
Incredibile... He is the best of the best tenors ever!
I have a version of Pav singing 'La Fleur' on a playlist in my car at the minute that is so fantastic I keep it on 'repeat' when no one else is around. Of all th e versions available- and I think every tenor has tackled it- his is, for me, the brightest and truest.
I was quite surprised when I heard this. I was expecting the ultra bright, really bitey quality I am used to from Pavarotti. He sang this with a warm color that is just perfect for french Singing. Bravo Pav!
