Arraez is perfect for the Padres. A guy who gets on base in front of all their power = 2 run homers instead of a solo. A is my grade for SD. For Miami, as always with prospects I go incomplete.

I think the question you're asking is about... where...? the positioning for the incoming Luis Arraez... what I think's going to happen here in San Diego is Arraez will be rotating first base second base and DH and that's enough for now as Cronesworth Bogarts will take a day off- rotating when they're in a slump over 8 or something along those lines then they will rotate
Nice move by the Padres. They’ve been working on getting Arraez for a while. Marlins did get some good prospects in this deal…. Arraez will hit leadoff with his new club. Have a feeling he’ll primarily be DH and periodically play 2B. Profar been doing a great job as leadoff hitter recently. However, Arraez will be the guy.
No, he’ll be platooning as well as DH with other players can do the same . I think it’s a great trade you’re not loosing a thing … your giving your players time to rest …. That’s a hell of an idea in my view
Petco Park is a hard place to come to and adjust at the trade deadline 99% of the players that come here during a trade deadline has a horrible second half. So this is awesome that we're getting him early and AJ could be on the hot seat too 😂

@@amguit I don’t think 5, 1 or 3 would be best. Want him to have most at bats or in key positions in the lineup (not saying 5 isn’t). 3 would be both more at bats and key spot in the lineup.
There was talk that for Arraez to the Padres required one of the two stud 17-year old international prospects the Padres have (Ethan, Leodalis) and they gave up neither which is huge.
I swear people don't even watch the Padres lol. Manny is already back playing third. Also, Padres didn't really give up anything. No Top 100 prospects and Miami is paying his contract. Merrill moving to Center and excelling kind of made Marsee and Head expendable.
JD just signed so I don't think anyone will be willing. Alonso has already said he's going into free agency but that's because he wants money. Otto and Sevi are, in my opinion, too old to get anything really good. Also, trading Sevi depletes our rotation. If we can get rid of Houser for anything, I would consider that a win...ANYONE
Tyler Wade has been acceptable to this point but, Arraez goes to DH and probably lead off. Manny is back at 3rd. If they can stay healthy, I like their chances.
don't bat him leadoff. he has no speed to steal a base plus is a contact hitter. he needs to hit lower in the order to knock guys in who are already on base. batting leadoff just puts him on 1st... & in position to be forced out

Bogey goes to third I believe. Arraez will platoon all over the infield. He plays good first and second base and he’s solid at third too. He’s a .300 hitter either way. He will play! Great pickup congrats to San Diego.
