It's actually because of the strong IBIS on wide angels. I was also not trying to be stable at all I personally probably could have made it a bit better if I wasn't stomping so loosely., the wobbles minimize at around 20mm but yeah camera with strong IBIS have this problem with wide angles.

Because stabilization on lumix ff is bad

@@fatherofbirds heck yeah man that's awesome. I like shooting video and pictures right there, at beach front Bay St Louis. You know Downtown where all the bars and restaurants are by the beach. Makes for some beautiful content.

I do most eye AF or single Box in photo. Make sure you don’t shoot in the Long profile in photo that messes with it. Other than having sensitivity and speed turned up all the way I don’t do much else and I find it works very well.

So you mean the Electronic and not the in body stabilization?

@@KeithsTVHD1 I think he meant to say IB stabilization, not IS.

They are cinema hybrids. Best if you want a Vericam cinema look with photo capabilities. For pure RU-vid there are better options for self filming for sure :)

Ali Rogers It will do, still a little more wiggly but that was putting no effort in trying to walk steady. I think I would recommend turning the I.S. Boost off and definitely keep the E Stabilization off.

@@fatherofbirds The boost ON and E-Stab ON on the 24-70mm made a big difference. I did a vlog test using this $6,000 setup

Definitely some reasonable gripes. So I’ve concluded that warpy corners are just going to happen on any camera on the wide in with strong IBIS. After seeing the canon R5 and R6 struggle with the same bits on their wide angles. Sony doesn’t seem to have this problem but they also have much weaker IBIS. Seems to be better when walking with wide angles but over all less stable when walking. So it’s kinda a trade off in that sense and one could be better than the other depending on the situation. Anything involving walking on a wide better on Sony but strong ibis wins in every other category. The price is up there but it’s a native lens and even though it’s a F4 the optics are what you would expect on this system with a Red S on it. It’s pretty perfect at what it does, focus clutch, sharpness, build quality, almost no focus breathing and it’s also par focal so that’s stellar. The sigma is cheaper as they always seem to be but they don’t work as well with the autofocus system and the 14mm 2.8 in particular won’t allow you to use standard score on ND filters which to my is it worth the extra stuff I personally have to carry. Though I can’t wait to see the 2.8 version.

@@fatherofbirds Thx for your reply!!! Yes the 2.8 I'm sure will be real nice... possibly outside the budget. I've seen the Sigma in RU-vid videos on the S series cameras showing how fast the AF is. It's just as fast as Panasonic native lens when focusing for pictures, although now nearly as fast in vid Mode. I'm mostly pull focus with video anyway so AF is not as important as others. Saying that, you know with wide angle lenses you have a lot of room the play so I don't need to worry as much being spot on. Also the Sigma is 14mm at the wide side and that 2mm makes a big difference.

@@IslandFilmMaker true it is a huge difference. I also want to mention that I find sigmas focus fine and sometimes better when doing photo. It seems to be the Vidoe AF that sigma lenses struggle in. Though in applications like real estate where you are manual focusing this all does matter much less.
