I work on new caddys and gm trucks, the door handles as shown in video are very flimsy, interior panels are a more loose fit, everything is just not up to par with a benz. i do not understand why gm cannot build something comparable in quality with a benz.

Why? What difference does a V8 make? Maybe more power, but do you really need more power for a car like the CT6? I mean, this isn't the 60s anymore, cars don't slow down while you climb a hill at full throttle.

It's coming. They're putting a V8 in the CT6 this year or next year I believe.

V8 sounds amazing and if you want to modify it is much more headroom for how high you can go compared to a v6, and if they were to put something like a ls3 in it (which isnt going to happen) It would be incredibly reliable, but the LT1 will prob go in it and you will get similar gas mileage and 50 more hp than the ttv6

As much as I love Cadillac I have to agree with you +King Whombat I still have my 93 Fleetwood Brougham with just 100k miles and it's a dream just driving it. Cadillac to me really fell off the luxury scene when the Fleetwood was discontinued.

And the engine will fall off within a year of its ownership.

go check out caddy deprecation on Autotrader or eBay... you can now get a 2014-15 ATS for around 15-16 grand....

thats about right as the ats was only a 30k car brand new, plus all those that are that cheap are 2.0t with no options and 30k plus miles on them(16k drop) a s550 (of the same years) can be had for around 56k thats 70k off its price of 130k

exe. Black I remember when owning a Benz was a big deal. because they were. They used to build on them on bodies that could go through brick walls and still keep running. And the cars were actually put together in germany by hand for the most part. And Benz used to pride it self on being the leader in technology and gadgets. Time's have changed and the quality that Merc was known for isn't there anymore. The market speaks for it self. They're still great vehicles, but not cars you want to own for long term without warranties. There a nightmare to repair and maintain.

Every car maker now is making vehicles that offer the same. Merc aren't unique as they used to be. Hell Hyunda now is closing the gap, which I never thought in a Million years that we'd see a Hyunda be worth more than 65K. They're offering powerful enegines, with all the creature comforts and luxary packages that every single german automaker offers.

Yeah if you're in the market for the s-class, I don't see any reason to get the CT6. Not even close. But if the S-class is at the way top end of what you can afford, the CT6 is a great option.
