Before my Heliod, Sun Crowned deck was built, it was Angels tribal. This is fleet of strong flying creatures looking to swarm down your opponents' life totals while driving up your own. The Angels as a tribe look to bring creatures back to life from our graveyard. So wrath away and fly in for the win!

I recently built an angel deck myself (with Giada, Font of Hope as my Commander) and this video helped a lot in getting ideas for some minor optimisations! (I even won our weekly commander game this week with said angel deck, so I'm very happy ^_^)

I am building a deck around this commander, I decided to optimize on the life gain with creatures like Ajani and Twinblade paladin to build counters every-time I gain life. Good video!

I would recommend replacing Marble Diamond with Arcane Signet. Wayfarer's Bauble & Thran Dynamo are also good ramp worth considering. :) Thx for sharing!

Thanks for the upload and the shout out! This deck looks fun! If you could only build one (as is the case for me) which would you rather have this deck or the heliod? Whichever deck will be my first non precon commander deck.

Thanks Jason! The Heliod deck is definitely more competitive and combo focused, whereas the Angels deck is more casual, slower and flavorful. You could build one deck that has aspects of both, since a lot of angels do work well with life gain themes. The Heliod deck is stronger (Heliod being half of 2-card infinite combos) and faster (with a lower mana curve and ways to search for combo pieces). It's really hard to pick between them, I definitely enjoy playing both. I would say go with whichever commander speaks to you more! Hi I’m looking to build this deck, are there any cards from kaldheim that you’d include? Was thinking doomskar instead of one of the wrath effects, but how about righteous Valkyrie, Starnheim Unleashed, or resplendent marshal?

Kaldheim was a huge boost of Angel support. Righteous Valkyrie and Valkyrie Harbinger are my top 2 recommendations. Starnheim Unleashed is also nice. Happy brewing!

Currently trying out Giada, Font of Hope as the commander. Having easy Angel ramp in the command zone is strong. Being able to start dropping 4 mana creatures on turn 3 such Battle Angels of Tyr is excellent, and the +1/+1 counters definitely add up!

Yeah, very underpowered. Playing that commander as my main deck in my meta, this guy method is somewhat lackluster and slow

I appreciate the feedback. I currently play this as Selesnya Angels with Shalai as the commander. I believe you would agree access to green solves the problem of ramping early and provides card draw in the mid to late game to stay ahead. @@dannyboyedh8081 Shalai as commander do indeed clear most of mono-white weaknesses, and is a very good way to go toward, considering the really high mana curve of this deck. I'm very interested to see your spin on Shalai. My favorite color is White in MtG and my favorite tribe is Angel, but it is hard to make mono-white Angel work in Commander, especially since the format meta sped up considerably in recent years. I think the main issue of your deck here would be the number of very high cmc cards while being mono-white, so lacking good ramp. Plus there's not enough ramp spells overall. Kinda looked like my first iteration of my Lyra deck actually. But yeah, Lyra is somewhat limited
