I know this was intended for M+ but the how to play section was incredibly helpful for me as I levelled a blood death knight as my first ever character. I just started during dragonflight and I feel much more confident in my understanding of my character than any other mmo I've played. I haven't taken on many dungeons and I'm not into the endgame yet, but I'm feeling great about this class/spec.

I think the meme at the start of each of these guides is Dorki secretly telling us what will be the meta spec he intends to main for Dragon Flight. We just have to decode it. Thanks for this awesome guide man! One question: most of the BDK Tank Guides have a stat priority order like this: Haste > Mastery/Crit > Vers..is there any specific reason why yours is quite the opposite? And why does Vers play such a insignificant role in those guides? Much love
Love your guides. Question (I don't think I missed it), but pugging as a tank can get chaotic. What point do you recommend dropping on the Blood tree to take mass grip? The 2 min CD for abom is a little too long to depend on. Would love to have a mass grip for huge pulls that get out of hand. Thank you for your guides!
if you ever find it chaotic don't attempt those kinda pulls. also having 2 grips should generally be enough! if you really do want the mass grip you can drop something for it but it'll be costly

Personal Opinion: Don't makro Abomination Limb and Empowered Rune Weapon together. You will overflow on Ressources. Combine talent improved Lichborne with Abo Limb for dr, leech and big damage. Macro Goul with Empowered Rune Weapon for Haste, Ressources and Enfeeble dr.
Hello, the macro is wrong, is not DRW, you have to change it for empower rune weapon, i had the same problem but in the video it shows the 3 spells that make up the macro.
@@Dorki thanks, I decide to main the dk. I don't Care about méta, dk is so fun. For the stats, are you sure for the poly> mastery before the haste ? And for the dunjon when you choose buff, you take stats or the heal receive with the dk ? Thanks
something that might be helpful, u can use apoc limb before a key starts so u have full stacks at start of key. if you vamp blood before using ams/amz it increases the absorption of both. (helps in higher keys a bit). having a bind for focus kick and focus grip is a big time save for me as well. i keep 1 caster completely shut down.
I like that they finally made Marrowrend feel good to press in AoE. I’ve always hated having to use it to keep up Bone-shield when I just want to spam Heart Strike for damage instead. This has been my least favorite tank for a long time purely for that reason. Now it’s so much better. Now if only Bone-Storm was better and the spec had a bit less button bloat it would be almost perfect Imo.
Thx for the guide, now i gotaa choose between dk and prot warrior, but since im fairly new to tanking (just tanked some m+ with druid in SL) i guess it will be the warrior Compared to prot warrior bdk is like a strategy game, they couldve atleast gave it a few seconds on those buffs, one knockback and the buffs are usually gone lol
I love DK tanking. I feel invincible. Only thing is I do pathetic damage compared to my druid or DH tanks. My healer this morning in a +20 SBG out DPS'd me overall, lol. I mean... he is a great healer but oof. On my bear I sometimes out DPS the DPS, but magic damage wrecks my butt.
I literally had several DK players tell me that Umbilicus Ternatus was a 'trap skill' and using Tombstone was a waste lol Im like really? Then why is my survivability so high once Vampiric Blood expires? I take 0 damage for like 10 seconds on bigger pulls.
what addon do you use for your UI? ive got bad peripheral vision so i have a hard time keeping track of my HP and important resources and buffs while also watching the enemies attacks, so i have to keep alot of stuff clustered in the center of my screen, which makes it look really cluttered. this setup looks alot better, but i dont know what to do to get this setup.

Hi, i've got a question. At this point my char have 20% haste by default and 39-46% with proks. With this i feel like i have lack of rune re-charging speed. Maybe it's because my other stats too low (mast - 34, vers - 13, crit - 23)? Still i manage to survive in 16-18 keys. Tht for help.
Hey Dorki, love the guide. Tried to download your Weakaura, but only the resource bar, auras, runes, no pet and soul reaper glow seems to follow. Do you use anything els to track your DD, will and such underneet your healthbar?
Only thing im hazy on is marrowrend and heart strike. So marrowrend to keep bone shield above 5 and heart strike when you have runes available but dont need charges of bone shield? Is blood a class to hold on gcds? Or is spamming heart strike not an issue when i comes time to gain charges? Also, when you recharge, do you want to get back up to 9 or 10 stacks straight away or is it more of weaving MR and DS in the middle ground? Sorry, new to blood, been frost since wrath but tired of frost play style so adding to my legion of tanks. Thanks
marrowrend when you fall below 5 boneshield, heartstrike otherwise. thats all there is to it! if you have abom/drw coming up you will want to avoid using marrowrend
Yo, as DK on big pulls is it better to pop multiple defensives at the start or do them 1 by 1 as they run out? Btw first expansion maining tank and the vids have been a huge help.
Yo dorki great guide as usual. Do you recommend macroing ghoul, enhanced weapon and abom limb together even for higher level play or is it just a good way to reduce buttons for starting out?
