the game was released during 4:3 display resolution time, so the animation was performed off-screen... the reload trickery unraveled when played on a wider 16:9 resolution
When "Insurgency: Sandstorm" will comes out, finally you will comparise it with Squad, because they want to add vehicles and more, like an cooperative mode, with an story mode too, that will be playable in a cooperative mode (until 4 players) or alone.
even today, it holds up well. i find it to be one of the best graphics vs hardware requirements (optimizing) game out there. even a Ryzen APU can play it with Medium setting 1080p or High with no filters on and get you a very smooth FPS run.
If Battlefield 3 would come out today, people would still prsise it for it's graphics, which is dissapointing because it is 8 years old now, meaning we haven't got much far in these 8 years
You don't need any kind of "rights" to model a real gun into your game. Only if you want to use real manufacturer names and trademarks. It's just a messed up 3D model.
@@user-tp5zx6sx2y is this supposed to be a joke or did you mean the gun jammed? He ran out of round in his mag, so you obviously, you need to reload before firing again. And in order to do that, you need to take a fresh mag out of your rig/vest/cargo pockets/ head/ mouth and shove it up the gun's magwell, and if the bolt wasn't released before the new mag was inserted press the bolt release, and if it was, pull the charging handle. You're not supposed to put the same mag in, because well, it's EMPTY.
Lol i guess you've never shot an assault rifle before. There a button on the left side of the weapon that you press when ever you insert a fresh magazine. It sends the bolt into the forward position putting the rifle in a ready to fire state.
Rising Storm 2 had the highest attention to detail /realistic modeling in my opinion. Biggest mistake for the rest was the selector switch not being on the correct setting or the rear sight hole being too large. Ask me how I know.
@@sam_alimi what varient you talking? m16A1 or M16A2? cuz in real life all i know is M16A1 and M16A3 is the only M16 varient that can shoot fully auto, so my question is, is it M16A2 can shoot auto?
A lot of these are just weird to watch. As someone who uses the m16 every now and again, let me just point out some things. 1 - A lot of these have either a full auto or 3-round burst, but the selector switch (on the left side of the weapon) is usually pointed straight up, which is for semi-automatic fire. Both the burst variants and auto variants require the selector switch to be pointed to the right. 2 - Standard-issue M16A2's have two rear aperture sights, a large one and a small one. Most games use the large one. 3 - If you still have ammo when you reload, you should still have a round in the chamber and you don't need to re-cock your weapon to fire. So if you reload with a 30-round mag, you should really have 31 rounds. 4 - The last shot of a magazine should sound very much different, as the bolt locks to the rear on the last shot. Reloading when you're empty requires a slap to the bolt catch (the little spoon-looking thing on the left side of the weapon). 5 - Rounds are ejected to the right of the shooter on most models. The ejection port has a little flap cover that opens automatically when firing. 6 - Without ear protection, an unsilenced M16 WILL put a ringing in your ears. You won't even really hear the shot, or anything for that matter for a few seconds.
I had fond memories with this rifle back in Battlefield 2. It was the standard jack of all trades rifle that would find use in any situation unless you had to deal with armored vehicles.
Zipotricks I honestly kinda liked Payback...I got it for 4 bucks from GameStop, beat it in a day then took it back because it was too simple...but the simplicity can be fun, I think the Gore was awesome in comparison to the first two games, and I liked blowing up terrorists...the replayability still isn't great though.
It would be nice if the newer games made the rear sight translucent like in the older games so that A, more realistically represent what you see in real life when using "ghost ring sights" and B, You can actually see what you are shooting at....
Imho, the best and most authentic looking ones are: M16A1: -Vietcong 1 -Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam -The Rising Storm 2 one looks also good but the viewing angle is shit M16A2: -Surprisingly Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 but it's full auto which isn't authentic -The Battlefield 2 one looks also good but its rear sight is too big M16A3: - Battlefield 3 and 4 M16A4: - Insurgency
Why does every game animate the AR-15s to have muzzle climb? IIRC the Direct Impingment operation with a straight line recoil system cause virtually no muzzle climb, even with a 308 caliber AR-10
aces911 they probably do it for balancing weapons in the games. But yeah realistically 5.56x45mm/ .223Rem has very small amounts of recoil so in full auto or burst there would be next to no muzzle climb.
Ratkill9000 He's not talking about overall recoil, he's talking about muzzle climb. It's when the muzzle wants to flip up vertically. AR15s dont have much muzzle climb due to its design, so the recoil pushes directly back into the shoulder instead of going upwards into the air.
