@ChrisdepherIt was well before that. The southern democrats enacted gun control laws in the 1800s so blacks couldn't defend themselves. The government isn't interested in stopping crime, but preventing the population from rising up against it should it turn totalitarian.
I was 17 in 86 and just getting into firearms I remember this being talked about and asked my parents to buy me an Uzi with my money from working summers. They said no and the price tripled overnight. I left for the army the next summer and spent 24 years playing with govt full autos, wishing I could have got that Uzi. I agree with all he says but how do we undo or turn back the clock? The government has no problem sending or leaving these items in other countries so they can defend themselves.. all while imposing more “rules” on the citizens. What is the path forward.
Politicians need to be held accountable for not upholding the constitution. Anyone who refers to the politicians as “lawmakers” needs to be corrected at every instance. Power needs to be removed from elected representatives and those who aim to hurt the people, dealt with accordingly.
The Bruin decision slowly but surely will affect our ability to once again purchase these tools. It's going to take quite a while and a lot of litigation but eventually it will happen.

I have called my Representatives and senators and told them several times to restore our Rights to pre 1934 levels, because the laws restricting that Second Amendment Right have been totally unconstitutional, but they are not listening, and just ignore me because I am only one man trying to make them represent us and fulfill their obligations of sworn duty to the Bill of Rights!
The question is what in the heck are we to do to restore our Rights to pre1934 level and us to buy, build, or import, any weaponry we choose to possess!?

The cool thing is we are a manufacturer of our own products. Nobody can tell us what to say or not say because we own the brands. The only “advertisements” we run are to support our own mission. A really important part that you mentioned at the beginning that people really need to consider: I don't like the fact that so many of us choose to err away from the terms "assault weapon" and "weapon of war". These absolutely should be considered weapons of war, because should war break out, these weapons will be used in it. Continuously calling them shit like "modern sporting rifle" or even know "defensive carbine" blunts the teeth that our weapons should have. Its like an MMA fighter that keeps saying his skills in fighting are only for the sport and that they aren’t meant to be used in a fight for your life.

There's a HUGE misconception in this video. The NFA was not passed in response to crime. It was a full five years after the St Valentines massacre. Congress was pressured by the Robber Barons to regulate all firearms in a manner in which the common citizen could not afford them, but they still could. They were terrified of the rise of the Unions, and armed skirmish's had already occurred between the Robber Barons and the Unions. The result was congress drafting the NFA, a tax that the Barons could afford but no one else could. The NFA was originally drafted to include handguns, which is the only reason why Short barreled rifles were included, to close a loophole.
We need to file lawsuits against the ATF and the NFA restrictions. If we took the people in the comments here as a named plaintiff and got FPC/GOA/SAF/NAGR and whatever other gun rights organizations willing to take the challenge to the ATF, I believe we would have a chance...but the court will most likely say we do not have standing unless we (the plaintiffs) already have 'illegal' machineguns or if we are charged with having machineguns. Most people do not want to risk going to the liberal court system with the looming charges of NFA violations. Just look at what they did to CRS firearms, he had a drawing of a lightning link (that the ATF couldn't even get to work) that he was promoting and he is now in federal prison on a jury conviction. Keep up the great videos, we need more people to stand up against this tyranny.
The silver lining on that CRS conviction has to be without the conviction, there is no chance of appeal to a higher court. If it could be heard by the supreme court, we may have a chance at actual change in law. It sucks that it happened to him for sure, but it had to happen to someone to start the process.
The crazy thing is, that handguns were originally included in the NFA. Hence SBR/SBS being present. When handguns were removed how SBR/SBS's remained is beyond me

Other than the gun guy romance novel at the beginning, the real discussion and history you presented was excellent and very well done. Thank you for sharing. The sad truth is violent criminals are running around with "machineguns" right now and the ATF is ignoring them, instead harassing good civilians over clever inventions in the name of their illegal attempts to outlaw everything.
I also believe that after the end of prohibition, there there were many prohibition officers that were out of a job. If I remember correctly, those prohibition officers became the first ATF agents.

It is safe to say that 100% of law abiding citizens would respect owning machine guns. Note I said law abiding citizens. Criminals, gangbangers, and troublemakers won’t, and don’t respect the law. Seen too many videos on RU-vid of people with switches on their Glocks. I’d love to own an MP5. Anyone who has shot a full auto firearm walks away with a smile on their face. The only issue is all the folks who have made “investments” out of buying pre-86 machine guns. Their $500 uzi is now worth $12,000, or their M16 is now worth $30,000, and they won’t want to lose a penny on it by allowing everyone else own them. We have gatekeepers within our own community. Infringing on our God given right. Yet spouting how pro-gun they are. They’re hypocritical Make automatic firearms commonplace again!
Collectibles will always be worth something even when we de-regulate select fire. Take our colt 6450. It’s a Clinton ban era 9mm AR15. It’s worth a bunch BECAUSE it says “MIL/LEO only” on the receiver. Same will be said for transferrables that existed prior to removal of the NFA. It’s just we all will have new machine guns and access to them freely. And the switches that exist further prove the point: government regulations don’t work.

Its probably how the federal assault weapon of 1994 was passed. But keep in mind, the catalog picture you shared of the Thompson is also priced at $200. According to US Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI Inflation Calculator, that would $4,647.67 firearm. Plus the standard issue firearm for militaries in the whole world at that time was a bolt action rifle with a long barrel and 5 round internal magazine. So the average citizen weren't buying automatic weapons for the overall investment was not worth it. The traditional militiaman used a rifle that they hunt and fight with, double duty made him proficient with the rifle. Who probably thought "If the bolt action was good enough for the grunt it was good enough for the average citizen." It probably why the majority were more concern about their alcohol being taken away then having an expensive heavy weapon that majority will never own be restricted. So the government took advantage of the situation. I think its more of shame that SBRs and suppressors got restricted. Like any tech, we shrink it down to make it more mobile, practical, and compact. Are society realized this after WW2 with the popularity of the M1 Carbine. Unfortunately the government only decreased the barrel length not scamp the restrictions. What doesn't help is that we became a settled nation and highly dependent on the government, causing a sense of false security so the "need" of well armed militia and weapons of war decreased. It sucks how our society get suckered to surrender our rights.
Excellent creation you have made here! It seems you have done some studies...let me help add to that. If you don't know history you are doomed to repeat it... Which you will see is what has been happening. What you were talking about starting (in I believe you said 1934), wasn't the beginning...it was the beginning effects. They want you to believe it started there because it happened suddenly and like magic. When you can't find the true cause (or the true issue) you are basically doing nothing more than using a basic boo-boo kit on a gushing carotid artery. To get you to the beginning, we have to go back to the Roman Empire for a moment. We have been told that it fell, when that is simply untrue. More accurately it "fizzled out" from a reset. Yes the same reset that you have heard about recently. A "place" is "allowed" to be a "super power" for a certain length of time, then those powers are removed by "the powers that be". This is what is happening currently in our country. Rome was the super power of that time. A new type of law was brought in to give the people a sense of power, without actually giving them power. It was called a legal system. With a legal system, those in power could twist any and every word to mean whatever they needed it to mean on their own whim, so that they could further their own narrative/agenda. Legalese muddied the language in their "justice system" so that you had to be registered (Regis-to the King) to translate the meaning. To create the fall (fizzle) of Rome, they brought in democracy, and around the same time there was confusion as to what the word "man" and "woman" meant...sound familiar? (It should) Replay the same principle in England because they were the next major super power. (As a note though, while I haven't found evidence of the man/woman issue there, it may have been covered up in a similar way as what much of our history has been). England though also had at one point also had a form of law called Common Law. It's words meant exactly what it said, so no translation was necessary as it was "stand alone law". The "powers that be" ended the majority of common law using people's ignorance (like here in the USA). The secret though, is that our freedom fathers knew this. When they came to America, and crafted the Declaration of Independence (which was written in Common Law), pay special attention to the preamble, which is the very foundation our Constitution (also written in Common Law). Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness (the meaning of Liberty has been watered down over time to just mean freedom, when it also specifically means travel and land ownership). Our freedom fathers made the rule that no one who had previously practiced in the legal system could hold an office that created law, so that our freedom could stay intact. Our coup fathers (those who wanted freedom for themselves, and to keep the people in slavery and servitude) knew that the only way that they could gain power and money was to get rid of common law. In 1790 our Common Law system was quietly changed to De Jure Law unlawfully and unconstitutionally. De Jure was a much more legal friendly form. In 1803, the judicial system specifically for the purpose of subjugating the Constitution, unlawfully and unconstitutionally gave THEMSELVES the power to translate the Constitution. Some time after changing our system of law again quietly to De Facto which is the full legal system that we currently use.
Prove me wrong, but I think your math is wrong. $200 back then...if the avg salary was between $1400 and $4000, I used $2500 as a median and since $200 is 8% of $2500, if the avg/median today is $54k, that would be a $4320 tax stamp, not $54k (referring to your church analogy). That being said, the 2A is absolute and shall not be infringed, taxation is theft, and "when tyranny becomes law rebellion becomes duty". Love your channel.
