Not sure if this information is hidden somewhere in the comments. When SPB points to Ilayaraja at 4:44 , the lyrics says “Pudhu Raagam padaipadhale naanum iraivane” which translates to “as i make new music, i’m akin to God”. SPB points to Raja while he sings this. And Raja being Raja, modestly says no :) Towards the end of the song at 6:52 there’s another tweak by SPB (he often does that in concerts). The lyrics says “Isaikkena Isaigindra Rasigargal raajiyam namakke dhaan”. This translates to “The love of all the music lovers is meant for US”. The original lyric in the movie ends with “...raajiyam yenakke dhaan...” which means “..all the love is meant for ME”. Raja gently smiles at that.

Did you know?? Ilayaraja is Gold medalist in western music. He completed symphony in less than 20 days i think his other albums are ' how to name it', ' nothing but wind', he done composition for 5000+ songs. Clearly ilayaraja is music maestro

Very cool reaction thagappa....😂😂,, next spb song engeyum eppotum from ninaithaale inikkum movie... Its such a energytic song in spb. Its composed the great legendaric music director msv, and written by legendary poetor kannadhasan, and performed rajini and kamalhaasan. It was a favarite of 80's kids... That was a miracle moments u know. I hope u will react to that song.

Two legends together killing. One of the best instrumental melody from Ilayaraja formula. Vizhiyile mani vizhiyil, Pen maane sangeetham, ennathan sugamo ... are the songs with S Janaki. the another legend can be heard plenty of times. A good job dad.

Not sure if someone had shared this earlier. Apologies if its a repeat. Ilayaraja and SPB are close friends for the past 5 decades. The lyric at 4.47 quite literally means - Due to the facts that we create new tunes we too are God's and SPB points at Raja(as he is fondly addressed by his fans) for which raja gestures with a no no....All in all the duo has been having fun on stage while recreating this master peace Live

Nice to see this bro.. actually both SPB and Ilayaraaja has come long way since 1970s ..they r very close friends even before they get into movies..in fact SPB was the one who introduced Ilayaraaja to one of the leading film producer those days when Ilayaraaja was still looking for chances in movies,and the rest as they say is history..I miss SPB so much..I'm 45 now,n I literally grew up listening to his songs..thank u for this Dad's Den

Ilaiyaraaja Sir, is once in a life time musician. We are lucky persons in the world to listen to his music. He's the only musician who gives birth to music from instruments not from computers. "The sound that comes out of an instrument is music not from a computer". Raja sir will catch even a slighest of slighest mistake and who did it. And yes Mr. Ken you nailed it, indeed its a master piece. Long live SPB & Raja Sir and their music for the generations to come.

Friend Spb and ilayaraja were friends from their early suffering days way back 1976 ,it is a time tested friendship musically, personally , familywise and immense livewire of tamil cinema till date . This is such a loss that if u listen to all of them ,u only help urself drawn into some holistic music with a rawness and purity never ever matched to such a scale of melody. consistently no matter what type of music or any language. They are sharing atleast 3 generations of musicians before and.after their entry period.. Pls also listen to spb 's beautiful devotional songs and ilayarajas bgms as they are permanent bonus sweeps always.
