1:46 Homelander mentions that Edgar has ''blood like engine oil'' and that he's close to a coronary. In season 3 Ryan mentions to Billy that his blood smells funny and that his heart is racing (because Billy's been using compound V). The fact that it is also mentioned in the show that human parents who raise Supe children have a high mortality rate, but Edgar managed to raise Victoria Neuman without issue, and the fact that he has complete access to compound V; including the cutting edge versions of the serum (like the 24 hour one Billy uses), along with decades hanging around other Supes and also having absolutely zero fear of any Supes. I can only conclude that he's probably superpowered himself.

I don't think so, given how obsessively Homelander uses his senses he definitely would have noticed V in him, he was just being figurative about how bad Edgar's cardiac situation is. If anything his heart being naturally in such bad shape is symbolic of his non super super power: he's heartless

Shame, this show is 10x better than all the Sh*t shows the MCU has released after Endgame yet they get 15 mil more for each episodes of those Sh*ts. I think another thing about this that adds to Homelanders(and Maeve to some extent) despicable actions is that the shooter actually gives up when he sees them entering the room. They straight up murder him, and the way Homelander does it is so sadistic and horrible. And the way they acted afterwards shows that this is a routine and it isnt the first time they do something like this.

Maeve and her actress are one of my favorites of the show. Hughie, Frenchie, Butcher, Kimiko and Marvin are also amazing. While homelander is in a league of his own. Somehow I like Starlight the least. But over all the entire cast is just amazing and the characters they play aswell!

If you think about the "training scene" for 10 seconds, it makes zero sense. She is far faaar stronger, far more agile and fast and fast more durable than all of them. She gains nothing from fighting with them. They can't help her train her reflexes because they are not fast enough, nor do they pose any challenge to her in general. I am mentioning this because lots of people keep saying "but Maeve has been training bla bla bla" after the disappointing ending to season 3. No this is not training, this would be the equivalent of an average guy beating up a couple of 5 year Olds in order to train for a fight with another guy who has a good advantage in weight and strength over him.

Maeve already had that guy and he was basically defeated. Yet Homelander kills him anyways because he knows he can get away with it. Does Vought even teach its superheroes how to properly apprehend anyone? The time Homelander waited for Maeve probably gave the shooter more time to shoot at people and officers, and then the way HL just murders him whenever the guy clearly surrendered before Maeve even took him down only adds to the despicable nature of HL, and foreshadows Maeve having to live with letting HL do what he wants to people, and doing nothing to stop it.

At least he is more efficient than Batman. Like this guy won't break out of prison next week. Only thing annoyingly stupid is that he grabbed gun same hand as he soaked in blood. In lab it would be trivial to check that dead guy has no blood on hands and trigger has blood marks on it.

With the recent season finale, apparently Maeve is almost as strong as homelander so what's the point of training with three normal guys, she might as well be fighting children.

You could argue that she was training her technique rather than her physique, she was after all visibly more proficient at hand-to-hand combat than Homelander. She was obviously nowhere near exerting herself or she would have exploded the trainees on contact.

They say Homelander's not an anti hero - BULLSHIT! He just took out the gunman and could've actually refused but he didn't because he may have a lot of evil within him but there IS somewhat good in him somewhere and the reason why he didn't save the plane is because he COULDN'T because he wasn't strong enough alongside the fact that there was nothing he really COULD do and he'd do just about anything to be loved. I can't believe Soldier Boy hates him for being his clone/son who always looked up to him and it makes me feel very bad for Homelander and I wish that the Boys comics didn't discontinue so we might've seen a possible redemption arc for him if DC weren't jealous of something that's better and more realistic to me anyways than an alien from outer space who wears an S on his suit that stands for hope on his home planet because hope starts with an H

Meave could influence him to become the better person. That would be most heroic thing in the world she could have done. Stormfront influensed him into fucking nazism which was far away even from him. He just needs someone he could trust and rely on. He's reasonable enough.
