That was a nice round. Always a fist pump moment in Mage Knight when everything just sort of comes together for a huge battle victory . Blood Rage was putting in some work for you.
Just finished winning Volkare’s Quest for the first time with a score of 156. Pushed my luck building up strength since Volkare moved so quickly. Several wound cards in Volkare’s deck along with Wings of Wind to get me to the portal in record time resulted in an exciting win for Tovak! Ridiculously fun!
Can’t thank you enough for all your MK videos. Without you, I would never have learned and played one of the greatest games I ever have played. Just wondering. Who is your favorite character? :-)
Soooo awesome to see you do another one of these. Small little correction because I know you desire to get all the details correct - rampaging enemies include draconum and MARAUDING orcs.
31:40 Tornado wouldn't help against the Jerk dragon (official name) due to Arcane Immunity. Regeneration/Magic Familiars is a very nice combo! On the turn where you use all that mana and Whirlwind the Dungeon, I think I prefer your original 3 wound line. Saves the the mana skill (and Swift Bolt and Blood Rage) and you can just use Familiars to Heal 2 after combat. Surprised to see all these monasteries remaining unburnt.
What an amazing 2 Rounds this was. You started the game with the odds against you but I think tables are turning! Let's see what happens in Rounds 5 and 6.
I like Braevalar a lot; so I play with him mostly. I'm not sure about a character guide... possibly; I'll add it to the 'maybe' list :) best wishes, Ricky
@@BoxofDelights thanks for considering it. I would be interested in the reasons why you like Braevalar. But all all fine. Please keep posting new Mage Knight videos from time to time. Have a good start into the new week.
Does the expansions of this game are really worth buying? I mean, if I buy only the main game without the expansions, my experience with the game will be as good as if I play with them or not?
The base game alone is a wonderful experience. In this play-through I included extra stuff for the extra enemies (like the ones with faction tokens, which are from the Tezla expansion).
I just watched this and your day 1 video. Is there any chance a non-genius like myself can play this game? It looks incredible but I have absolutely no idea what just happened after watching for an hour.
Hi.. why 4 ? Attack is 4; which because it is Brutal, does 8 damage (4 doubled); my armour is 3; so 8 means WOUND 8->5 WOUND 5->2 WOUND 2-> 0, no more wounds; i.e. 3 wounds (the other way to do it is "damage divided by armour rounded up" which is 8 divided by 3 rounded up to 3 wounds). Hope this helps! R.
It does double the attack as damage, but not double wounds. So 4 attack becomes 8 damage, which you then soak up with armour to determine wounds. It's a confusing 3-step process.. Attack -> Damage -> Wounds. Best wishes, Ricky
@@BoxofDelights Indeed, that's what I meant. I believe you didn't make an actual mistake in the gameplay, it was just in the way you phrased it in the video. In it you say that Brutal doubles the attack but, if we want to be technical, the thing that gets doubled is the damage, the attack remains a 4. I know, I guess I'm being too fastidious. 😅 Cheers!
I did that okay... @23:27 in PART 1. If you spot anything else though, do let me know! (NOTE: you do it each time you assault, not when you conquer it, so if you fail to conquer it and assault again then that's another -1 rep! ouch)
I look at my copy of MK on my shelf thinking I should play it, and then, Ricky Royal releases Part II... So I don't need to play my game, instead, I'll watch someone else play it. Thanks.
At 37:49, you can choose regular or fire attack right? (Is half of the sword red? Hard to tell it is small) So fire would be efficient in this case? That might save you a crystal
@@BoxofDelights Oh I must have missed it, because you were so quick! There are so many tiny rules in Mage Knight, it's practically impossible to play a game without making a single error.
