We have a video wall with 16 Samsung monitors, 4 LH46udecLbb/zd monitors, others of the model SÃO LH46vmtubgXZD and we are buying 4 more units of a third model, the 46VMB-U How many units of the • Signage Samsung Player Box SBB-SS08NU1XZA are needed for a video wall with 3 different monitor models to work in the same set? Would it be necessary to separate them by model? THE BIG QUESTION IS IF THEY CAN ALL PERFORM A SINGLE VIDEOWALL managed by magic info?
Hi, A Samsung SBB works only with Samsung signage products. You can connected the models that have a display input and output to create your Daisy chain solution. In short when you can set up a Daisy chain it should work, and the SBB will act as the player to conenct to MagicINFO and manage the conencted screens.
How do you set 3 VM32R-U displays as a videowall using daisychain? I thought the screens could work using daisy chain without an additional hardware, but the main screen doesn't replicates the signal to the other screens. (using main screen hdmi daisychain out connected to the next screen daisy chain hdmi in and screens set to videowall mode)
Hi, the VMR-U models require an external player. If you have displays like QMC or QMB, they have a built-in MagicINFO player. With these, you can create a videowall without an external player.
Hello, We are planning to install a video wall for CCTV monitoring, this would consist of 8 VM46B-U screens using the following installation scheme: - connection between screens: daisy chain with displayport - connection from the 1st screen to PC with magicinfo: rj45 on LAN network Is there any limitation for this type of connection? Is it functional? How much bandwidth do I require for this scheme? What are the PC and LAN requirements for this arrangement? On the other hand, we saw that there is the "Smart Signage Player Box" equipment, is it necessary for the installation scheme and/or what advantages does it have to use it? Thanks in advance
Hi, Thank you for your messages, there are some restrictions in this case to keep in mind. - When setting up a Daisy chain you need a Magicinfo player to connect to Magicinfo. The VMB screens does not have this player, therefore you need the SBB (Signgae player) to connect to Magicinfo. This SBB you connect to the first screen of your video wall and your Magicinfo installation. - When setting up a Daisy chain video wall you can create content in Magicinfo. You can create a canvas with your content (input source or URL). It is only possible to create one canvas with one input source or URL, you can not add multiple on one canvas. - Please have a look at the Samsung Manuel for the specifications: docs.samsungvx.com/docs/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=60034271 I hope this helps you, if you have any other questions you can always contact us via support@magicinfoservices.com.
I currently have 9 displays of the model VM46B-U and 1 SSB, with a license for Unified Player 2 (I, S Signage). The displays are connected in a daisy chain, with the first using HDMI and the others connected via DisplayPort (DP). Additionally, I have connected the cables to the RS232 input for ID recognition. I would like to clarify if, to display individual content on each of the 9 displays (as well as some content together), I would need to acquire 9 units of the SSB and 9 Premium licenses? Furthermore, is the license I currently have considered Premium?
Hi Marcos, wit hthe VMBU models it's not possible to send content to each display individually. It's only possible when you have a SBB per display, but then you cannot create a videowall anymore. Because you cannot create a videowall with SBB players in MagicINFO. Correct, the Unified Player 2 license is the Premium license.
@@MagicInfoServices I would like to clarify whether the limitation of the Samsung VMBU model regarding video wall compatibility is hardware-related (for example, the possibility of adding Wi-Fi using the USB port) or if it is a software limitation that could be resolved with an update. Thank you for your assistance!
@@MarcosSouza-ux1bd Hi Marcos, this is a hardware limitation, since the monitors need a SBB to function. The Samsung smart signage displays each have a signage player built in and can function independently. I hope this helps.
Hi Marcos, have you solved this? A friend of mine have 3 VM32R-U displays, but he doesnt have a SBB, I thought the screens could work using daisy chain without an additional hardware, but the main screen doesnt replicates the signal to the other screens. Could you use your videowall without the additional hardware?

Hello, I have QM55B, i wonder how can i daisy chain my displays with rs232 there is only have videos with hdmi cable, but qm55b has not hdmi out socket and is that necessary using SBB or Premium license, what if i use pc for videowall, does it work with pc please inform.
Hi Serdar, Rs232 is not supported for a videowall setup. In case of a missing HDMI out port, you can connect each display individually to MagicINFO. Then you can send content to each display individually or as a videowall, as shown in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hZZw5j0nbUI.html Please note, that not all displays can be setup in a videowall, since there are dedicated videowall displays. Please contact your hardware vendor for these dedicated videowall displays.
Hi, Yes this is possible if the screens have HDMI in and HDMI out ports. An external player has to be connected to the first display in the chain, as shown in the video. If there are any additional questions, you can reach out to support@magicinfoservices.com.
We want 8 screen video managed by magic info. How can we do this and how many boxes would be needed. Can we do this without sbb box, or do we need one sbb for every two monitors
Hi Lee, you can use all your 8 devices connected to 1 SBB. You have to make sure these are daisy-chained to each other, in order to have them connected. Please make sure that when using an SBB, you can only spread content across all devices. It is not possible to send different content to the devices individually, nor will you be able to control the hardware of every device individually.
@@MagicInfoServices thanks so much for your reply's, we have purchased licensing pro, I do have a few follow up questions for the video. So would addition boxes give us more functionality? We are looking vmt 46, for the wall then we have 5 tv's located in other locations not part of the video. We just want to ensure we get all the correct hardware to have one central point to manage the stand alone and video wall.
@@trevornuttall2475 Hi Trevor, the display orientation was changed via Menu > OnScreen Display > Display orientation. Here you can determine if the device has to be in portrait or landscape mode. Please note, first switch to HDMI source before you can change this orientation.
Hi, we purchased two SBB boxes for two sets of projects. A 2-row 2-column display, HDMI loop-through board, in-out; One is a display HDMI loop-through board with 1 row and 4 columns, in -out; However, it cannot be used normally, only one monitor can be displayed. If the second monitor is looped through HDMI, the screen will flash back and the picture cannot be displayed normally. How to solve it?
Hi Elle, are all steps followed from the video and have all displays been supplied with the right position? Have you tried different HDMI cables already as well?
@@MagicInfoServices Yes, the connection is correct, and I have also replaced the HDMI cable twice, but it cannot be solved. We currently purchased two SBB boxes for two sets of projects, one is a 2x2 portrait HDMI loop through daisy chain. The other is a 1x4 vertical HDMI loop-through daisy chain; it doesn't work properly, can I send you the video?
Hello, First I wanna appologize 4 my english cuz' I'm a french native speaker. One of my customers want me to install a menuboard in a QSR ( 4 x 43" in landscape mode ) in order to show sometimes individuals screens and sometimes a video in 7680 x 1080 ( 4 screens ). I'd like to know what is the best set up to do it ? Can I use a SBB player with just one premium licence or must I buy one premium licence per screen (without SBB player ) ? Regards
Hi, with a SBB you can only show content spread across all 4 displays, so no content on individual displays. You can only show content on individual displays and on all displays when you have a premium license per display, without the SBB. Please make sure that the displays need to have the Premium player embedded.
@@MagicInfoServices , Thanks 4 U'r quick answer but I still have 2 questions “ You can only show content on individual displays and on all displays when you have a premium license per display “ ---> should you tell me how to show 1 content ( vidéo or pictures ) on my 4 screens ( 7680 x 1080 px ) " Please make sure that the displays need to have the Premium player embedded " ---> should you be more explicit ? Do you mean that I can use magicinfo lite licence to do it ? Regards

Best is to have full HD, or 4K video and you can spread this across your displays. " Please make sure that the displays need to have the Premium player embedded " ---> should you be more explicit ? if I have two QM43R and i set the daisy chain for videowall mode, without SBB can we push the content only on screen 1?, and what is the fuction of Number of slave device when you approve the SBB?, thank you
Hi, it's not possible to use the daisy chain method without SBB. You then either need to get a SBB, or a license per display as shown in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hZZw5j0nbUI.html The slave displays determine the order of the displays and control how the content has to be spread across the videowall.
ok, so if i have unified license, can i do that?, config each display with own display magicinfo player like this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hZZw5j0nbUI.html ?, what if when i approve sbb i just fill 1 slave device but i use 5 device?, its the content just show on 1 device?,
@@MrSubchankarim You'll need a Unified/ Premium license per display to achieve what is shown in that video, yes. If you wish to use a SBB but do not set it up properly, the content will not be spread properly over all displays.
