20 centimeters, 2 end, one shaft The banana. A mysterious fruit that has been part of the human civilization for as long as we can remember. Shaped like a small handgun it does not shy away from being in resemblance with the steel that has been used as a tool for destruction of man throughout the ages…..
I love my Blackhawk, I can load some powerful bear loads for it, but it takes all day to reload. One shot is enough if you can shoot. Recoil doesn't affect the first shot, so flinching is not as much of a problem. Wyatt Earp said shoot slow and don't miss. He was never scratched by a bullet.
@@Madjo-qj2ge this was most likely talking about the first borderlands. revolvers, especially jacobs, would have very few shots to act as balancing for the incredibly high dps
@@thehuskylicense8209 in Raid Mode of Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2, is a rare revolver called the Pale Rider. It usually comes default with 2 or 3 rounds, and has the highest damage of all Magnum class weapons in the mode... It's a Colt Python with a four foot long barrel.
Shpoovy The world wasn't ready for your kind. The chaos that would have ensued if people knew... But that was then. This is now, and the world is ready to embrace the shpoovies as an independent race, with their own rights! I am blahthebiste, and I am a shpoovy sympathizer
If you get 200 kills with the revolvers in CoD: Ghosts with both dual-wield *and* a scope attached onto each, you get a badge of a dog with 3D glasses and the "I have no idea what I'm doing" title. I remember it very vividly.
"Cowboy, gentleman or rogue - it doesn't matter who, the revolver always means business." that was so badass dude, you should do narrations for games or books.
One thing I've never understood is why in so many games revolvers and shotguns deliver one-shot kills, but enemies become bullet sponges when it comes to assault rifles.
Visual gameplay mechanics and challenge over realism. Look at the original Ghost recon, that had proper weapon damage and for the most part, assault rifles accurate to 2-300 yards, sniper rifles able to hit a head at double that. Even in the city levels fighting tended to happen at mid-long range because ambush tactics were so effective, you had to hard scan terrain and windows and still probably get taken out from a direction you thought you had checked. The game was tense, slow and frustrating while being one of the most engrossing experiences at the same time, a victory was hard earned, team play was essential and objectives were slow to capture. Most modern shooters tend more towards a sporting event, ranges are shorter, cover is a lot less important, recoil is amped up to encourage closer fighting and objectives swap faster because movement of the character is closer to that of a weightless robotic gymnast than of the average soldier laden with tens of kilos of gear. More people play, more people play and more people are willing to try an easier to get into experience.
No game is truly realistic because everything that is, is not fun and therefore not suitable for gaming which is designed to be fun. Even the simulator genre isn't as realistic as stepping out of your door and do it RL. Maybe in a few years the borders will fade away but for now games are meant to be entertaining.
El Neuro Quila Red Orchestra 2 has realistic weapon damages and yet there is a good deal of balance in the gameplay, as long as you know what you are doing.
It’s a pet peeve of mine seeing people misquote simple things that could easily be checked. Ghosts actual line is: ‘We’ve got it sir.’ Shepard’s second line is: ‘Good, that’s one less loose end.’ Come on guys, let’s get these things right. Yes, I’m very fun at parties.
*_Just a bit of info for the uninitiated:_* *Not all revolvers are magnums; for example: Revolver Ocelot's Colt SAA uses .45 Colt which is a low velocity round. *Semi-automatic magnum pistols do exist; the most famous example is the Desert Eagle. *Magnum handguns are used for handgun hunting; delivering high calibre rifle power in a shorter package on big game. *Military and Police forces almost never use handguns more powerful than the .357 Magnum (.357 was once the standard police calibre in the US). This is due to recoil, over penetration, and ammunition costs.
@Heroin Bob .30 Carbine is not considered a "magnum" handgun caliber because it was a cartridge developed for rifles. "Magnum" has a very loose definition in firearm terminology, but when you're talking about handguns there's some categories: 1. Magnum pistol calibers are usually upscaled versions of weaker calibers. For example .357 Magnum is an enhanced .38 Special, and .44 Magnum is an enhanced .44 Special. 2. Some calibers are not upscaled rounds, but are still considered magnums. Examples are .500 S&W Magnum and .50 Action Express. 3. Handguns that use rifle rounds may sometimes be considered "magnums", but the ammunition they use are definitely not. A BFR may be called a "magnum revolver". but .45-70 Goverment is not. BONUS: .30 Carbine was designed during WWII to replace .45 ACP and the M1911 pistol, but failed to do both. It is more powerful than standard pressure sidearm calibers like .45 ACP, 9x19mm, .40 S&W, etc. However it is outclassed by "magnum" calibers like .357, .44, .454, .500, etc.
reloading revolvers in games is never shown well. it's very difficult to reload with anything resembling speed unless all shots have been fired. the ejection rod doesn't care if the round is spent or not and you can't just upturn the gun and hold the good rounds in expecting spent rounds to fall out of the cylinders. hot magnum loads cause the brass to expand a little which gets them stuck in the chambers. using the ejection rod is the only way to get them out unless you want to pry them out with your fingernails. and that is not fast. I figured out a way and if anyone's curious I'll share. but don't even get me started on cowboying the chambers shut. that is a sin and also a great way to put unneeded stress on the crane arm and index catch.
The revolver's in Verdun are pretty realistic reload. The Weebly has a speed loader, the French revolver (don't remember the name) ejects all cartiges and reloads individually, and the Germans Reichrevolver eject and reload individually with help of a reloading rod. You can tell that the Germans revolver is one of the worst guns in the game.
Well for cartoony shooters like overwatch tf2 where realism doesnt matter, its okay. But in realistic shooters like cod, it could matter, but it could reduce the speed of the game though.
Another interesting fact is how the French GIGN used to have a .357 sniper that was frequently in use. It’s a revolver with a sniper scope and a bipod and sometimes an extended barrel with a suppressor or other muzzle attachment.
Of course, six bullets it too much to kill 1 people,to kill a people, you just need to shot the in the face, and they die, even with a glock, didn't need a revolver or a desert eagle
@Bobby Sands This. Head shots are tricky. There *is* a sort of triangular zone of the two eyes to the nose that if you hit there square on, that's an instant down. But much more reliable is into the "boiler room" as deer hunters call it. Heart/lung area; the center of mass of the thorax. This is why in defense shooting you are taught to aim for center of mass to stop the threat. And don't try shuffling off this mortal coil yourself with a gun, you're sure to miss. Get help.
Does it really matter what games he took his clips from? "You should have used 'X' from 'Y' game" Or "Why didn't you use this gun" Imagine how much time these videos take to make, he can't use EVERY revolver from EVERY game. That would take forever. Great video Ahoy.
@@LordFakeGodz it's 650$ now when it got released it was 850$ which you couldn't even buy in the pistol round , it can still kill armoured enemies with 3 body shots
"In video games, the act of reloading is sometimes aided by a speedloader" cut to Borderlands revolvers, chucking the entire cylinder out and grabbing a new one
Which was actually what people used to do around the time of the American Civil War, and early Wild West; as it took too long to reload the black powder cartridge and ball into the cylinder
"Or wandering the wasteland" >doesn't show fallout new vegas, a game with a signature song dedicated to revolvers, a cowboy theme, and a larger variety of revolvers Video is great btw, this is just a small gripe
Personally, I would consider a single action ("Old West") revolver and a magnum revolver to be in two different categories. Although they fulfill the same intended role, the technology represents two entirely different eras and contexts. The single action represents the 19th Century and the frontier, while the magnum revolver represents the 20th Century and police as much as it represents hunters.
RevanBladeZ Yeah I was even surprised that he used this quote since he mentioned before that he never played an MGS game. Anyway, since he used that quote, he had to use either the original MGS or TTS and I'd rather see TTS.
*"The less ammo a gun has, the more powerful it is!"* -Thunder730 Proof: This vid MP220 (Double Barrel) Litteraly any shotgun (exept Spas-12) Most snipers A freaking crossbow
release R8 were OP as frag ,1 shot kill and stuff, get nerfed less than a week or so, in that first week the AWM nearly got replaced though because who need a sniper rifle when you can 1 shot everyone close up
Same here. If the Ranger Sequoia can’t be smuggled by Sneak, I’ll love the Lucky Single-Action Army to the GRAVES. Mysterious Magnum’s good too.. but it’ll stay on a shelf.
The Magnum I respect is the S&W .500. It maybe overkill, but it is the most powerful production handgun in existence. I would love to see it in more games.
It's a pointless round that was apparently "designed for all big game in north carolina" which is bs. It hurts your hands like hell when you shoot, so it's not a regular gun that you'll like using in the range. Its rounds are premium and expensive unless you hand-load. Get a goddamn .44 instead. At the very least the rounds aren't THAT expensive.
"Wieldy's here! Fires a .475 Wieldy Magnum. Real stopping power. Nah, a .44 Magnum is a pistol cartridge. The .475 Wieldy Magnum, is a scaled down version of the African Big Game Cartridge." - Charles Bronson, Death Wish 3.
4:15 you have destiny footage but didn't show "the last word"? that gun is like, the embodiment of the allure about the revolver. you even fire it in an automatic fashion by fanning the hammer. you get DAMAGE BONUSES for firing it from the hip! the game WANTS you to go old-west style. i mean, you actually twirl the thing whenever you pull it out
Dude fuck off, it took him months to make 1, and if he makes a mistake, that is good enough excuse as ever for it. Hell, it's not even a mistake, what's so wrong with using COD footage, he didn't even use a lot of it. COD is a good example for guns, as it's name screams out guns. Maybe you try to make one, then you'll see how hard it is to make one, let alone run a whole channel based on the same quality
Suprised you didn't use the .44 in Battlefield 3 or 4, I only saw the Rex from Battlefield 4 shortly... In my honest opinion Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 probably has the best looking and more or less best feeling .44 Magnum out of any game so far. Magnum in Call of Duty feels really dull, not enough power, sound or even recoil...
I quite liked the Python in BO1, the sound is really echoing and it's 2 shot kill so it's not that bad. Recoil isn't too good though :/ I quite liked the revolvers in Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, they felt really powerful (though that may owe a but to the slow-motion effect you can get)
Agreed. Battlefield has the best sound and recoil. But I guess he didn't want to play BF4 multiplayer and take the time to unlock it, because it's the last pistol unlock. And in singleplayer, the Rex is the only sidearm available.
Harish Parchuri Yeah that is true. It's just a shame, if he did play Battlefield a lot more he would have access to A LOT of famous weapons. Hell he could even just ask other players to record footage for him. I'd be happy to spend a couple hours on Battlefield 3 and 4 to record guns for this amazing series.
BoisegangGaming You have no idea how OP the Rex was in BF3 if you don't think it deserved a nerf in BF4. You could spam the REX without any recoil and get 3 kills with it in 2 seconds or less. Now the way they nerfed revolvers in BF4 was really bad at first, especially as they introduced the Desert Eagle which was far superior. But after a bit they buffed every revolver and right now they are just fine, not overpowered but nor underpowered like at the beginning.
