‪@MagnusWalkerUrbanOutlaw‬ drives high voltage rock and roll! Today, we're in the canyons with the Petersen's Tesla-powered 1969 Porsche 912 and Magnus behind the wheel. Over the last year, the Petersen has worked with Omaze and Zelectric to build this Porsche to support the museum. Originally a stock 912, the Porsche was modified with a Tesla electric motor conversion , updated interior, exterior accessories, ‪@HREWheels‬, ‪@MichelinGlobal‬ tires, suspension, brakes, and lighting, refreshing the look and tripling the power.

I'd totally rock it. It was good of them to convert a 912 to electric and not ruin a 911. Kinda like engine swapping a Datsun 280z vs an original 240z.

Owing a real car in the future will be like being a smoker today governments will tax ridiculously and people will glare at you I’m not a smoker today but I will own a real car my 1970 Mazda Rx2 in future and wear the expensive fuel and the glare of others Electric cars are boring full stop

If you can get a message to Magnus that there 's a company in the UK who have nailed th electric vintage experience, they have managed to manufacture a electric engine which marries up to your existing gearbox so that you have the same year ratios as a combustion car, meaning 3 pedals and more evolving experience.....perfect for his 912

Not for me, I am 54 years old and it is hard to drain the petro out of me. I see this as an ending to everything I once love, I don't even read any new car magazines that has an electric vehicle. It is not the car that is doing most of the polluting. Jets, locomotives, diesel trucks ,industrial, and yes cows pollute more. Instead of doing away with the gas engine here is a solution, use electric for public transportation, hybrid heavy trucks, full electrification of locomotives (even freight), also make it mandatory for cargo ships to be hybrid power, and we'll as for cows, do we really need that hamburger.

I used to eat fast food several times a week and, at certain points, once every day. I do go to a fast food place for a burger bc I haven't given up meat, but the frequency is wayyy down. I savor it more, too, bc it's become kinda special. I think of the image of a pro NFL player (definitely not me) sitting in a fast food place completely lost in his burger as a team staff member sat on his device next to this guy. I don't think I've ever seen a more satisfied person with their food. But the factory farming deal and environmental effects have put me off of taking the cheap, garbage, addictive burgers for granted when I eventually do have one.

EXACTLY. As you already know, it's not truly about being "green", but about control. The same ones looking to take all ICE cars & tax them out of realistic ownership are the same ones getting into their private jets. Who's going to tax their private jets out of realistic ownership?? How "green" is it to produce fleets of unserviceable throwaway cars that are designed to fail? "It's not shiny enough, throw away, get a new one!" Yeah. Something is being helped & it's not the environment.

The 912 is like looking at a 911 and driving a 356. The electric brings back the performance and more but it looses that sensory input from the engine that is so engaging.

I don’t think people the age of Magnus need to worry about not getting oil for running our ICE cars. (I’m same age). It’s said in the UK by 2030 only 8% of cars will be electric. So I’d say we’ve got at least two decades. Plus I think the US will take longer to switch because the country is so much bigger. And I don’t see African or South American countries driving EVs any time soon

EVs are nice… as a second car. It will never replace the sound, the shifting, the smell of petro cars. Doesn’t do it for me. I don’t care how fast it goes from 0-60 either. What matters most is the smile per miles and EV doesn’t do that for me.

After seeing so many videos with Magnus wringing out his 911s it felt so strange to hear no engine music accompanying the drive. I’m sorry but that killed it for me. The video was not as exciting. I was not as immersed as I would have enjoyed. Even Magnus did not seem to be experiencing the same thrill. I want to embrace the future but please pump in some fake flat six music!

EVs are the future, hydrocarbons in particular car fuels are on the decline and will soon be regarded in the same vein as coal. Gorgeous car. Review didn’t make sense, of course it doesn’t smell like or feel like an old 912 it’s a completely different vehicle ffs.
