What if when Doom gets another game, Mick, Andrew, and David all put their music expertise and combined it to make the Ultimate Soundtrack. A young man can dream.
It's a shame though Mick says he won't be working with Id again. I really hope he has a change of heart, but so far I don't think the chances appear optimistic.
I think this soundtrack gave a perfect ending to a fantastic franchise, the song is somewhat sad but Epic like you're ready to kill the most powerful thing ever, and You are. It would fit perfectly in so many scenarios
Basically, this theme is a reworked/remixed version of "Slayer's gate", the background song of the Taras Nabad level in the main campaign. It's pretty done though
1:23 - 1:45 WHAT THE HELL (lol) IS GOING ON HERE? That shit is so epic! So glad id gave Andrew and David free will with the soundtrack, turned out to be so good! This is about 120KBPS tho, hope they will release TAG1+2 offically so we can enjoy it to the max. Tnx for the upload!
@@lopezssb9608 It took me a long time to get used to Mick's absent in TAG1. Very long time. Im still rocking the gym with eternal's soundtrack. I even felt pretty alone in my opinion that no one can replace him, But oh man It feels so good to be wrong.
@@danik62 The problem is, it's not that hard to just do right by all artists involved in the soundtrack. Yet they flat-out refuse to release a studio soundtrack. Not sure exactly what happened behind the scenes but nevertheless, ID needs to step up and do the right thing for the fans here.
Personally I didn't enjoy their work this time. It was all amazing atmospherically but with the exception of this theme, I couldn't make out a single melody. They didn't have this problem in AG1
@@hubertserafin3432 nah I personally feel the same dude And AG1 had the same problem - none of it was nearly as memorable as vanilla, asides from the theme.
@@FootOfOrion it had some good tunes tbh, but the difference is that mick's music was ALL memorable, like I can definitely hum you super gore nest or TOTTFIY from memory. the new guys' work is also great, but it's not doom - i know that sound elitist but it all sounds a little disjointed, as game music often sounds. mick somehow made it flow really well
@@hubertserafin3432 i love Levy’s work on AG1 and 2 but as much as I like Hulshult and Levy, they’ve got talent but they’re missing those little melodies that make Mick’s music constantly memorable. I agree for the most part man.
@@FootOfOrion Mick even added clever references to the original soundtracks by Bobby Prince and Doom 3. The way Hugo Martin is the image of a Doom player who everyone loves, Mick is just someone who can see perfectly what we love from Doom
I love how they stole a lot of aspects from movies in this DLC But they did it better so I accept it, well done Also, THIS MUST BE PLAYED LOUDER, someone pay someone at the next superbowl to play this on their speakers lol
these guys are obviously great, but imo no one can beat Mick. Mick made his own distinctive sound that you can tell apart from any other. And in game it worked better because all his riffs were groovy at while the new stuff just isn't as bouncy
why so much hate, yes the DLC isn't that great and part one is better and yes Micks' soundtracks are far superior but it isn't *terrible*, what is terrible, that bossfight. This soundtrack is good as it does its job for menu and credit theme
@@Ezekiel_Burton if to rate the music as battle one then it is good, but it isn't Doom level, not to say that David and Andrey are bad musicians, no they without a doubt are talented, but they couldn't catch and prolong what Mick has done
@@DavidKFZ idk other than the synths it doesn't sound like they tried to replicate Micks sound. The guitars and synths are waaaayyy more low and muddy than Mick's pretty bright sound
